Sitting my garage with two old Bose speakers, 3/4 drunk ,listening to this and was feeling a bit sad for the world, but, im 62 years old and have seen much, much come and go and I feel lucky...
In September 1975 my class went on the traditional trip before graduation, and we chose Munich, the Pinakothek, the BMW museum - and Oktoberfest! And before traveling back, I hopped into a record store to buy the album, twice, one for me, one for a friend, because records were way cheaper than in Switzerland. Upon returning, my friend had bought it himself. Can't remember now if he had forgotten his order or if he was too impatient to wait. Anyway, I was stuck with that second copy, and decided to keep it unopened. So now I have a well-played copy and one still wrapped in its black foil.
Nothing comes close to the warm and alive sounding high fidelity vinyl system. Flashback from the days when just listening and appreciating music was the pure bliss and life was so much fuller.
Yeah, I was there....I remember my friends and most are now departed....I'm here now 67 years old, and maybe in another life I will see all those I miss once again.BM
Listening to this just makes me think back to the first time I ever heard Pink Floyd sitting on my dads couch as he played the CD I was 11 and ever since then I’ve loved the band
Sublime, beautiful, haunting, melancholic, and distilled from direct experience with the lost potential of a fallen comrade. Anyone uncertain of the impetus for this song need only search for "Syd Barrett". Thank you for sharing this phenomenally well maintained original pressing.
@@cjsvinyl I am curious now.... but where to start gaining knowledge for those equipment? I am quality lover thats for sure.....could you share any one link to start with
@@stallio5612 You can hear the voices clear on CD too. You just need a decent Hi-Fi system. There is no one pointer to start from. There are HI-Fi Magazines that help. There are also various sites and forums online plus UA-cam Videos. You can build a system based on what you may have to spend. The best thing is to visit the Hi-Fi Specialist Retailers. If you know which sort of system you require, you can book a listening session. Everybody has different preferences and we don't all hear the same. It may seem a little daunting at first, but stick with it. It is a learning curve that can be quite rewarding and enjoyable too.

Been reading some comments on here and you have a vintage Sansui G7000 receiver and I’ve become the proud owner of a Pioneer SX1280 receiver paired with a set of Pioneer HPM 100 speakers. Next on the cards will be a Pioneer turntable from the 70s or very early 80s.

@@Rightly_Divided Pretty sure he was just messing with you. It's an album from the 70s, black vinyl should absolutely be the most common colour. Not to mention with the success of The Dark Side Of The Moon, there would have been a lot of copies of this album manufactured.
Thank you! The clamp is the rekocut gold, made by Empire Scientific and I think it was directly from a third-party website that I had to run multiple searches for. Unfortunately, this clamp has become much more scarce. It may take more than a few searches before you find it now. Best of luck!!

You can get good money for an original pressing unopened.
I’ll buy it off you 2k usd
How much for it. I’m only 20 and I collect vinyl and I’m an aspiring audiophile I would love to purchase and keep it sealed from many years to come.
