    Wow, the backlight is even, like it and fast readings.

      Hi Juan..yessir that backlight is gorgeous! No bleeding and even across the display with zero flicker. 👍

    Great review! It’s always nice to watch your new videos. I had the same question with some audiences here: what’s the point of this pen-style meter. But on a second thought, maybe someone will value its portability. Particularly for the ones who works in an environment with heavy PPEs, its small size and convenient use could be handy. It’s definitely not the best choice for electronics hobbyists though. You can find better options for cheaper prices.

      Thx my friend 👍 Agreed not for everyone but definitely a capable little Pen Multimeter.

    Temp sensor is a downer. Looks like a good “go bag” or glovebox meter!

      100% ! I'm hoping the sensor issue is just this unit but I doubt it..

    I think that it is a good multimeter. Only the temperature sensor is not calibrated /accurate/. Nice review by the way.

      Thx 👍 Yes the temp sensor is the only downside to this otherwise great little meter !

    Mr. Darren i have zoyi zt 102a,what happens to this multimeter if it accidentally enters the voltage when the mode selector is in ohms, diode and capacitance, is there any protection from accidentally like that in this multimeter?

    • @KeepOnTesting
      @KeepOnTesting  Рік тому +3

      Hello friend, As you know it's never good to go from reading Resistance/Capacitance etc to suddenly voltage ⚡️, unfortunately it happens. While in Ohms mode if you suddenly encounter a "live" circuit usually a thermistor in the Ohms circuit can alleviate the overloaded current. The multimeter should survive ..most catastrophic is when measuring voltage while terminals are still connected to current...this can cause some serious damage if the fuse doesn't blow in time. Btw, ZOYI/ ZOTEK is a solid multimeter OEM with usually very good in circuit protection and that's always a good 👍 thing !

    I believe the temperature sensor is fine. It's just not there to read the actual temperature. It serves a different purpose.
    As you walk around the room following your faulty wiring, you take a look at the meter and see a comfortable 28 °C. 28 °C is not too hot, it's just right. And you can't help but imagine yourself lying on a beautiful beach. You hear the sound of waves and feel a slight breeze on your skin.
    You open your eyes and you're back home again with your damn faulty wiring and a blinking lamp. But it doesn’t bother you that much anymore. All thanks to BSIDE S5. 😌

      Muhahaha 😂 , well that is most definitely another way to look at it ! I'm going to assume the green boot is actually a Palm 🌴 tree in disguise too..hehe , Bside really thought of everything! OK back to my cold windy October afternoon...brrr 😮

    TC4056A looks like a lithium-ion battery controller, not an EEPROM. Unfortunately, this chip is most likely one-time programmable.

    • @KeepOnTesting
      @KeepOnTesting  Рік тому +1

      This pcb uses the TC4056 Li-Ion charge controller IC for lithium charging safety. I realized that only after video production but thx for pointing it out.

    Wow. It's quite the first pen style multimeter to deliver! Shame on the temp sensor...

      Agreed! It's a big deal too because it's not even close to temp. Otherwise a solid foray into the pen multimeter class! 😃

    What a shame about the temp sensor, in every other respect it's quite a nice little thing.

      True 👍 most annoying part is the temperature (albeit incorrect) is always displayed..😅 otherwise a very good meter!

    I just don´t get it: What is the point of a pen-style multimeter, if you have to fiddle with two testleads anyway? No tilt stand, no magnetic hanger and, because it is not heavy/big enough, twirling on the desk around. To avoid damage if it falls (and it will fall/bump around) the buttons ("the arc") should be at least flat or even better recessed, hence protected by the rubber/housing. BTW: The reason for the cap over the charging port seems somehow obvious to me: Electrical safety! It avoids to build an electrical path (arcing) ⚡to your hand (or whereever you have readable mounted it on your body [There is really only one place left over possible, with two otherwise busy hands! Mounted with rubberbands..?🥴]), if the meter blows up. Therefor I´m a little dissapointed: Why You are presenting such a sexistic multimeter...??? 🙄🙄😇😇😂🤣

      😂😂😂 Thx .
      Good points. One man's Picasso is another man's garage door holder. (Whatever the heck that means.. ) agreed, it ain't perfect but honestly it's nicely done overall. I do wish the test leads weren't captive that would greatly enhance the functionality. As you mentioned, a magnet or tilt stand would also have been beneficial but I think ultimately what it does possess is an overall decent performing pen meter for the end user with one of the best lcd displays. I know it's not everyone's liking but it's still very usable. I understand your take on the usb-c cover but believe me it's a huge pia to remove. Simply putting a rubber fit sleeve on top would have been just as effective and alot less aggravating! 😊👍sexist multimeter ..muhahaha 😅
