More tutorials! This was a MAJOR help and I actually figured it out in 5 minutes after trying to "learn" it by ear for the last 5 years or more. So embarrassing I was playing this totally wrong and so much harder. But not now!!! Thanks brotha, keep 'em coming!
OMG I IMPROVED :))))))) ALL THANKS TO U. I never knew it was so ez, i practiced it for months, but dint inprove.... but now when i see ur video, i see my mistakes... Thanks you are underrated, and earned a like a sub
@@bwm5150 Never really wanted to be a star.... But when I hear something coming from a guitar that sticks in my head.... I MUST learn how to play it or I won't be able to live with myself...... LMFAO
Super video thanks for sharing your knowledge. I spent so long trying to play along with this solo and I was ‘rushing’. The tip to relax and slow it down works so well. 🤘🏼
Hey Ben what’s up I’ve been trying to get more into playing guitar and I’m getting better but I’m just getting stuck when I try to play faster, and I really wanted to learn this solo so any tips for alternate picking and how I can improve?
Hey thanks for the Video. I wonder if it’s necessary to raise the second finger in the beginning lick. Can’t you just let it stay? Because you only get a sound of pulling of the pinky or am I wrong?
How do u isolate the background noise when ur doing the first lick? I have the problem that my string rings after i pull me finger and i have that dirty sound.
Left hand muting techniques of lifting your finger but also using the tip of your first finger to mute the string above it as it plays the second note.
I lift it off to stop the note. If you leave it held, and don't mute the string in any other way, then you create a chord sound instead of the individual notes. It's to make it sound cleaner.
@@bwm5150 great guitar covers by the way!! I’d love to learn some of the solos I’ve seen you play but my playing hand is just that little bit slower than my picking hand /:
Man, that sweep picking tip is killer. Thank you!
Pleased it can help! 👍

That’s great! Well done, that’s your hard work, I just show the way.
Just in time!!! I just needed this, Thank youuuu!!!!
Wow, what a breakdown! Never knew that about the different length notes in the main lick. Can't wait to apply this. 🤘🎸
Dude is one hell of a teacher.... Breaks down ALL fundamentals of both hands and their duties to work together.... Really Cool
Aw thanks for the kind words! I'm very pleased if I can help people play in any way.

Glad it’s helped! Yes, the ‘rushing’ was where I was struggling with it.
Thanks Ben 🎯👍😁
That was a great tutorial, I can now play this! You should cover the beginning of the solo of I'll see the light tonight.
Fantastic. 👍
I have zero musical talent but you make me want to learn 👍💪🎸🤘🤘🤘
More lessons like this!! Holy shit this is good stuff. Very relatable.
Great tutorials! Cheers
Good explain
Norum alternate picks it. No hammer ons. Down up down up down up
I’ve seen a live video where it shows him picking three and the pull off the last.
Yeah that’s the one I saw.
Thanks!
Very good tips thank you !!
Really good video
Great video 🔥👌

I offered a few tips for that on my most recent stream and it was asked near the end by a Patreon member.
why do you move the middle finger, wouldn't it be easier to have it fixed in place?
You don't want that note to sustain, so you need to mute it. I do that by lifting the finger off.

What equipment your using for this video, I'm really loving that guitar.
I list my equipment in all my recent videos, but not this one since it's from 2019.
@@bwm5150 ok, got it, awesome guitar, now I got to get me one of those, just radical, any mods on that guitar?
It's all stock
@@bwm5150 ok , thanks.
Hey thanks for the Video.

I raise the second finger to mute the B string. Otherwise it would sound messy

Left hand muting techniques of lifting your finger but also using the tip of your first finger to mute the string above it as it plays the second note.
Why put and remove the index finger of the left hand in the part of the fast slurs?
Isn't it easier to leave the index finger fixed?
My index finger is fixed, do you mean my middle finger?
@@bwm5150 oh yes!!! Sorry!!! The Middle Finger

@@bwm5150 ok I understand
Some of the notes you played was wrong😊😊
I don’t think so 😅
Ottimi consigli ma se guardi bene e rallenti l’assolo di Norum, la pennata è alternata…
Not all picked. You can clearly hear the picked notes and legato ones.
@@bwm5150 ok
5:09-5:12 sounds out of key
Norum goes outside of the key there yeah. If you listen to the record you will hear that.
John Norum only picks twice for the first lick, I found it easier to pick every note lmao
I think I do mention that about John
@@bwm5150 Yeah you did I'm just saying lmao
No worries, I think it helps to find your own way to play these things.

Thanks! It takes time but if you keep at it, you’ll get there.

you= tutorial is wrong..the lead is inverted...stop teaching when you dont know the real lead guitar technique.
I think I’ve got it right and a lot of others think so too. There are two parts playing so maybe you are confused with that.
too much talk..
Well it is a tutorial 😅
Well Instructed👍🏻... I'm struggling mainly in the picking part ...
