whenever I watch this MV I feel proud of them for overcoming all the criticism and trusting in their talent and the few people who believed in them at the beginning and it's crazy to see how far they've come, contributing to the popularization of their country, inspiring and bringing happiness to so many people around the world. Here are their ages in this music video Jin-20, Suga- 20, J-Hope- 19, RM- 18, Jimin- 17, V- 17, Jungkook- 15. BTS still do songs that have a hip hop influence, they've just incorporated more genres over the years.
they were originally created to be a Hip Hop Group. they just evolved and found their true colors. You may also check the LA Kcon in 2014. They were the opening act and performed 5 songs and they stole the show. Many says that no one leaves the venue not being a fan even they are less than a year in the industry.

God jungkook is fire from the beginning his dance always neat like him. At the age of 15 he is insane really.
I think you might enjoy watching a live performance of that song, because the scene with V where he is wearing sunglasses at first is on a whole another level!! And also "Danger" and "War of Hormone" are really great songs i would recommend to you to get a feeling of their early days (its from the album Dark&Wild released 2014, where they slowly started to add more vocal parts but still stuck to the kind of bad boy vibe)💜
Those are great, but ai wouldn’t skip over “We Are Bulletproof pt 2”.
They were supposed to be a hip hop rap band, that's why there is not too much vocals. About the perfect dancing, this was the song that introduced them to the world, they practiced it over and over. They were video recorded practicing and the CEO watched the videos and stopped frame by frame and everybody had to be in the same movement. That's why it is so perfect
In case you didn't know, jimin ang suga shared in a show that back in the days they used to make their dance moves really synchronized. They check it through their videos frame by frame.
Fyi jimin is the thumbnail and the most replayed part on this. He is so cute since debut.
Just a suggestion - a lot of their early MVs don't have subtitles, so you might want to check out 1TheK, their channel has the songs with Closed Captions.💜 Interestingly enough, for a while BangtanTV provided a link for 1TheK (but not anymore); so I think that's a sign that the company approves of their Closed Captions. Making them about as official as they can get - without actually being official.
BTS lyrics - right from the very beginning - carry a deep, and important, message. Aimed mainly at the youth (or those in BTS' age group), but equally relevant to people of all ages.💜
And Jungkook rapping... I wish he would slip a little rap into his solo songs sometime - feature himself as a rapper on one of his songs.. Oh well, maybe in the future. In 2025 or beyond💜

Suggestion: Consider starting your 2024 BTS journey from right here - the beginning - and listen to their discography in chronological order. Not just title songs with MVs, but everything. In my opinion, their b-sides are as good, and at times, better than the title tracks. Also, to really help you understand them more, watch The Rise of Bangtan series as it’s 21 episodes correspond to eras of music/album drops. The series gives amazing insight into not only BTS, but also the K-Pop industry as a whole. Last thing, lyrics are so important and it’s worth seeking them out. There are only a couple of MVs that haven’t been updated with lyrics, but b-sides will either be from lyric videos (LV) or live performances. Never choose the LVs with the most views. They rush to get them posted and make some pretty bad translation errors. AF Taehyung and ShadowbyYoongi seem to be more reliable, but others may have different suggestions as I am not Korean. In my opinion, their lyricism is a big part of what sets them apart from other groups. Their CEO told them from the beginning that their music must contain the stories of their own lives. So, as they have aged from high school students to men who are now in, or close to, their 30’s, ARMYs have been brought on this ride called life as they have experienced it. When all the BTS member got enlisted Army made 'Spring Day' reached #1 on US iTunes surpassing 'All I want for Christmas is you' IN CHRISTMAS SEASON and also #1 in a lot of of countries too and that wasn't even planned! We just miss them lol 😭💜 That was so crazy and the next day we did the same with 'Outro: Tear' and then with 'No More Dream' but that time we were all pretending BTS just debuted lol. And then with 'Attack on Bangtan.
Anyways, I don't think 'No More Dream' is that underrated guys, it's BTS debut song after all and we keep streaming old school BTS songs constantly! Trust me 'No More Dream' is not that underrated between more old school songs. Also, a couple of days ago Billboard announced that 'No More dream' reached #1 on the World Digital Song Sales chart for the first time ever!! 🎉 This was epic bc we did that with a song that came out 10 years ago and in my country they even played No more dream on the radio and talked about what we made which really surprised me bc usually they only play sometimes just the BTS' English songs of the Jimin and Jk solo releases that reached #1 on the BB hot 100. I was so excited and emotional to listen to No more dream on different radio stations 🤧

Great video guys! When it comes to BTS you should look into lyrics! whether it’s putting on captions, looking up lyric videos or searching on google. On your own time or on camera, pleease look at their lyrics. This song actually talks about the many young people who either don’t have a dream or don’t have a dream of their own ( as in living the dreams that’s expected by their parents, or society etc).
I’m sure you guys know by now, (hopefully) that BTS writes/ produces most of their music, and so the music they release at the time reflects how the boys are feeling and what they are going through at that time.
Their first albums talk about the struggles of the young. They are all fresh out of school (some still in school) so they criticize the school system and the adults who think the youth knows nothing. They grow and their next albums talk about youth still, but more of how society affects them, it’s not just about school anymore, it’s about family and home struggles, work, hustle culture, relationships and then they mature some more and they talk about their lost of innocence. Going from teen to adults. i think you guys get the point haha but what i’m trying to say is,
Yes, hip hop was a big thing in 2013, but that is /not/ why the boys went for a “grunge, hip hop, cool” aesthetic. It’s just what they liked. (okay maybe also a little bc it was cool haha) The group started as a Hip-Hop/Rap group, and was formed around the rappers (which is not common, from what i know of, in kpop). And it is not that BTS was changing with what was popular over the years but they just grew as humans and their music reflects that.
The music grew with them.
Their roots are in hip hop and although they are now considered more of a pop group, they will neever change the hip hop aspect of their music. Which is to unapologetically speak their own truth! Clothes, aesthetics, hair color, makeup, nothing will change that they are a hip hop group, they just added more genres in the mix now☺️
So to summarize, I do not want to tell you guys how to run your channel! But if you guys wanted to enjoy BTS more and truly, i mean /truly/ get what they are and why so many people love them, I would look into lyrics. Maybe instead of dance practices, watching a lyric video? If you guys want to do it on camera!
and yes if they went back to their “old” style of music, trust me many ARMY would be on board 🤣 And their company said that when they come back in 2025 they will be going back to their HYYH (around 2014-2015) era and do stuff with that so 😳 veryy excited for that haha

I remember watching them in their debuts era and now everyones shocked at their past but me shocked at how they are now 😂 cause for me this was how I knew bts and seeing the transition in real time to them now was a slow shock a good one but I still have a place in my heart for this era of bts.
I still remember going to the computer room in high school and picking our favourite member this mv always brings back great memories of my school days.

One thing about BTS is that their discography is truly everlasting. Even their old songs are bangers right now 🔥💜 They have always been amazing since the beginning and their lyrics has always been really good and meaningful. It's because they were originally only going to do hip hop that's way the group started out with 3 Rappers before the vocalist's joined them. You need to watch the Guide to BTS the Bantang 7 By Taylor Mari. They a group based and grounded in Hip Hop and R&B but use whatever genre they like and mix genre's how they see fit. That's why their many albums have so a wealth of different music genre's even within an album. They've never completely moved away from their roots it will always be there.

Yes, BTS cringe at their old content, just like we don't want people to see our old photos! But they were teens talking to their peers, telling their own stories making them totally relatable. Once you read the lyrics and you know the sentiment behind the track, it is even better.💜
It's not about their dream of being who they are it's a social commentary on the situation of the youth in South Korea. The pressure they are under from society as a whole and their parents to constantly be studying eg school followed by cram school often not getting home until 10pm to go to bed and then start the same thing all over again the next day. It's the reason that South Korea has the highest suidice rate of students as they took over from Japan. It's get the best grades in order to get into the one of the top 3 universities so you can get a good government job or into one of the best and biggest private companies. Being pushed to do as their parent want for them and not be able to have any 'Dreams of their own'.

Maybe someone else has said this, but this was sent straight to No 1 in about 100+ countries the week after the last of BTS enlisted. They don't need to re-debut with it!
It's actually a commentary on the demands placed on schoolchildren to excel in school, get a good university place, and then a secure government job driving a desk, to the extent that many young people have no energy left even to dream. It's actually a call to them to find themselves and and find a dream to follow. Like BTS have.
There's a point where JK#s line is translated as 'yah, mum I'm going to the library now' - it's only a near approximation. Korean children commonly attend school from early morning until 4ish (I think) and then, while grabbing a quick snack like gimbap, they rush to their 'academy' or a study room, where they stay until 10pm or later, then home to bed. This is actually a criticism of that system.
From the very start BTS were holding up an uncomfortable mirror to Korean life as imposed on young people.
