I love Ellie and Mac patterns. I buy them up like hot cakes on sales. I look forward to seeing your makes on those patterns.

Would love a follow up on how the sports bra worked, I need some that truely fit correctly. On the ones I buy I can either get the band to fit in which the cups are way to small or if I get the cups to fit the band is to big. Band size 32 full bust 40.
This would be a great pattern for you. The cups sizing goes up to an 8” difference between your underbust and full bust!
Cant wait to see it all made up ! I am in the same boat , I need to make workout wear , too !!!!

I’m so glad! I’ll be doing most of the actual sewing during the weekly vlogs that go up on Wednesday. I’ll definitley be showing how to sew using just a sewing machine during the month!

All great fabrics. I always think about the long floral aqua and pinks skirt in you made for a wedding, I think it was.
Yes! That was the big ball skirt I made for my cousin’s wedding! I need another reason to wear that again!
I’m exhausted just thinking about all the sewing to be done to get all these pieces done! And then all the exercising you’ll be doing in these! Great fabrics you have chosen...I’m sure it takes a lot of time to figure all that out. I need to make modules like you do instead of just willy-Nilly sewing items!

The moxie shorts look really hard to lengthen, but Greenstyle just released a men's pair of shorts - Motion Athletic Shorts - which I am going to try for me!
That’s a good idea! I saw that pattern, but didn’t even think about adjusting it for myself.
Clearly, you exercise a lot more than I do!! Another great video and I'm definitely interested in making some activewear. This will motivate me to try something new.

I am SO excited for activewear month!! I like to wear clothing that is comfortable and would like to wear more activewear than I do currently. I am really interested to learn about activewear fabric and how best to sew them. I'd love to make some activewear for my Son and Husband as well (tshirts, tank tops, shorts, swim trunks). I cannot wait to see what you do with your fabrics!!

(Miss "Noisy Nellie" here-I noticed a "Janome" box in the background, is that the brand serger or cover stitch machine you have?? I own a "Janome" sewing machine and serger, as well as a "Husqvarna Viking" sewing/embroidery machine, and a "Brother" serger. Love them all, but "Janome" is a real work horse, I must say!!)
The "Desert Orange'-is to die for, I love all shades of orange, very pretty, those prints are really nice also. I really dig the green-so elegant-like the option of hooded, or not!
That green and blue-green print, is probably my favorite-it is gorgeous!! So cheerful!
I always love the Chocolate Browns, such a nice color-and I am with you on the "end of the bolt" excitement!! I just got an order from fabric.com, and I was hoping, as sometimes I do get that-but alas, was not meant to be! Ugh! LOL!
That green for the overlay is beautiful, looks really nice.
So serene-the ocean blue, I like that.
I loved that hoodie when you made it before-and I like the color you chose for your next one.
That amber red is so lovely-and I do like it with the dark blue. OOhhh-the Olive green is Nice!!
The russet does marry well with the amber red!
The S 8338 looks like a great pattern choice, as well.
Great idea to build in the sport bra-I love inserting bra cups, etc...into some of my tops and dresses. makes life much simpler!
OOOHHH love the "sport skort"-I do like the "Belize" skort!!
Yes, that will be a good review-I used to only have a machine that did straight and zig zag, and I made several swim-suits.

Thank you, Louise! The Janome box is the box for my new coverstitch machine! I need to have my husband stick the box in the attic for me 😂. It is a fantastic little cover stitch machine and I’ll share it some more during the weekly vlogs!

😂 I clearly have an “eyes bigger than my stomach” issue! While it is an area of my closet where I need a complete rehaul, I may have gone a bit overboard 😂.

Great plan’s video! I haven’t sewn with activewear fabrics yet. So it will be exciting to learn about the different fabrics and get any tips from you about sewing with them. I do have a walking foot, so that would be something I will probably need to use. But if you have any other suggestions that would be great!
A walking foot is a must with the slippery activewear fabric!

I have never sewn swim wear or athletic wear, so this will be all new to me. Do you think these items can be made on a regular sewing machine? I don't have a serger. Thanks! Can't wait to see all of the planned makes.

Fabulous fabrics... I can’t wait to see how you sew all these as I have never used active wear fabric before it looks kind of scary 🥺. When you sew so much of the same items do you sew assembly line style or module to module. I would love to make some swim wear so looking forward to you starting. Not going to be resting and chilling in your home for a while with all those to make....🤣🤣 xx
I think I will do some assembly line style sewing this month, especially since I’ll be making multiples of the same pattern. I’m doing them one by one at the moment, though, so I can test fit.

Ooooh! I'm a golfer as well! I'd love to have some ideas for fabrics/patterns. I wear skorts (bought) in Summer and I have just tried the Love Notions Duet Trousers for Winter. I made them in Bengaline so a bit of stretch. I have to make some adjustments to the pattern though before I make another pair.
Oh good! I cut out a golf skort yesterday and talked about it on the vlog (that you’ll see Wednesday)!
Hi, Whiteney. Are those fabrics easy for a beginer to use and are sports bras easy yo make. Is Fabric Fairy an easy place to order from through the computer. I would like to try to make some bras. Thanks for you input have a great day.
Fabric Fairy is very easy to order from (and they’ll help you pair coordinating fabrics together if you send them an email or give them a call). These fabrics can be a bit slippery, but if you go slowly, it’s not hard. As far as the sport bras, I find them to be the easiest bra to make!
I don’t really tend to wear “active wear”, but my daughters do, so I would like to make some things for them. Well, I have swimsuits.
It’s been a fun change for a bit. It’s one area of my wardrobe where I actually need a few things!

You, can, but it would take either a pattern that is drafted for it, or some drafting skills of your own. I’ve owned a ready to wear sports bra that had underwire, so it can be done!

If you get tired of the Stride leggings, try the Jalie Clara leggings. I've made a few pairs of them and they're great. They have a nice little gusset at the crotch and a wide waistband option. No affiliation, yadda yadda.
