@@Josh-gp9up I totally understand :) I was really curious about that as well, but unfortunately - I couldn't find a reliable source for any of that information - as it seems, all they do after being hatched is swim around the place and sometimes emit the enzyme.

I think that the Sea Emperor is the Sea Dragon’s good twin sibling. They look similar in body shape, but they have more differences than the Sun and Pluto. One Sea Dragon indirectly screwed over the whole planet, but the Sea Emperor kept it alive and eventually cured the entire world. I love the Sea Emperor. I can’t believe a survival game about fish made me cry
based on some lore I just read in the logbook, all the fauna in subnautica is asexual, that is something to keep in mind because they don't really require any communities for reproduction, only the right chemicals for hatching. This video could have gone into theorizing where the sea emperor would actually live outside the containment facility, given the enzymes needed to hatch their young. It is unlikely despite the sea emperor's speech implying that it never moved and had the walls built around it, that it is a natural denizen of the lava zone. Even if being a leviathan grants it the capability to survive down there, it's coloration almost implies that it lived around the cove tree/lost river area and ghost leviathans have taken over in its species' absence. also there are other cases where it struggles to speak in your native tongue, meaning there is some implied loss of intent in what it says, plus another interpretation of its message suggests the sea emperors consider the entire planet as their domain, which explains why their hatching enzymes are so scattered as opposed to other fauna. just something I thought about, having just gotten to this part in the game.
That's actually a really interesting theory to go into - considering the behavior of its juveniles, I would guess that they travel/live in herds outside of the crater edge....the only adult specimen we can directly observe has shown the ability to withstand extreme depth so I don't think it would be far fetched to say they can dive even outside the crater :) .....it could also be that within their life cycle - they need to get closer to shallow land to lay their eggs/get close to the enzymes.
ZxCrono the deeper you go, the bigger the fauna it seems. Interesting that if the Emperor is about 200m long at about 1500m depth. The gargantuan super predator at 6-7x the size would live at 9000-10500m (near the bottom of the Mariana Trench...) mmm I wonder if...?
Hey Bacon!I had some cool info that many might not know of.... If you keep playing after you hatch the baby sea emperors, they will end up growing very large and swim around in certain biomes. You probably might not know this, but in case you didn't know: In one of the trailers when it cuts to black you can hear a huge roar probably coming from the Sea Emperor, so it's possible That the Sea Emperor Leviathan was originally going to be hostile to the player. That was until The Sea Dragon Leviathan came along and took that place.
I was exploring the Aurora when it contacted me and I legit thought my character got radiation positioning. Also, the first time a warper warped me, I paused the game without noticing it warping me, so the waiting screen looks super funky.
Each time it happened for me my instinctual response was to wildly swing my knife at it, or punch it when I was in my prawn suit and it triggered in the thermal plant.
I finally beat the game after 41 hours and I can say its easily one of the best games I've ever played. The desire to explore yet dread of the unkown is such a great counterbalance that barely any game I played before has done. I'm looking forward to a below-zero blind playthrough.

one theory about the emperor is that it's related to sea dragons but they adapted to different lifestyles, with the emperor being a filter feeder and the sea dragon being more aggresive and carnivorous. Also more emperors could be living in the dead zone deeper down because only leviathan class and microorganisms can live down there.

In subnautica below zero, we actually get to see one of the juveniles grown up swimming around a far point in the map. (Unsure if its the edge though). man, I hope the next subnautica has more content about the sea emperors, I love the concept and we know juveniles can communicate telepathically because of a cut cutscene for the old story in below zero (igp encountered it) the dialouge states: Emperor: Hello friend, are you here to play? Robin: Not right now, there was an accident, i need an enzyme sample. Emperor: Perhaps we can play another time. Robin: Thank you.
Zacimus Prime imagine if that massive crocodile looking one is in the new dlc in a new void and it’s like 10x as big as a sea emperor and when you try to scan it the pda only says [ERROR: NOT FOUND] and under that it says fossil and then a bunch of weird maybe precursor language
If you count Below Zero as a Subnautica, i like the Snow Stalker the most. But the Emperor is my second favourite creature in the game. Tons of facts and key to the story.
i think the sea emperor is the sea dragon evolution because it was born in the facility so it grow differently to the sea dragon(hint the 7 tail and the middle is the longest and the *paddle* has evolve from the sea dragon *hand* thats why they look so alike and because it was taken care of by the precursor so it got wayy bigger and has the ability to comunicate.
It's probably possible :) however, do remember that Emperors were a separate species from the Dragons that once lived (probably) in the void around the crater.
Guys get this, I was playing in creative mode and hatched the emperor babies and released them. But then, when I was looking for one of the life pods, I saw one, but it has grown to adulthood. Man they grow so fast😭😭😭
that awkward moment when i've hatched the juveniles, cured the planet of Kharra, disabled the gun and boarded my rocket to leave. All just to never fix the aurora and let the radiation kill the planet...
i had a dream that i was in subnuatica, but there was something odd, a huge crater opened up in the lost river, and something communitcated with me when i went near it, but the sea emperor was long dead. i never went in as it wasnt a dream i could fullly control
I Would Really Like A Mod Or DLC Where You Play As Ridley Again In An Alternate Timeline Where Ridley Didn't Leave The Planet And Tried To Save The Adult Sea Emperor From Dying , You Can Tell I Was Sad When She Died.
The reason I assumed that the sea emperor was unable to communicate with the aliens was that the aliens had some kind of telepathic implant to interact with their computers. I don't remember exactly where this was mentioned, it was in one of the alien facilities. So likely their implant (or whatever) interfered with the natural telepathy of the sea emperor.
I swear I saw a young (not baby) sea emperor in normal subnautica. I can't see it completely while attacking by 2 reapers but I barely saw. If you wonder, I find it in lost river entrance in koosh (bulb) zone. Also there is a video about a young sea emperor in the ocean (normal subnautica again)
I just wanted to bring this up, nowadays I can't find any info about this but i remember back in the day the emporor was originally supposed to be a hostile creature you'd have to go very deep down to find, apparently you were supposed to use the dna extractor to get the cure from the emperor. Recently i got curious and wanted to find old info about this but it's like seemingly vanished. Does anyone else remember this? Or is it just me
Imagine being trapped in an empty closet for a millenium.
You'd probably even develop telepathic speech :)

man, I hope the next subnautica has more content about the sea emperors, I love the concept and we know juveniles can communicate telepathically because of a cut cutscene for the old story in below zero (igp encountered it) the dialouge states:
Emperor: Hello friend, are you here to play?
Robin: Not right now, there was an accident, i need an enzyme sample.
Emperor: Perhaps we can play another time.
Robin: Thank you.
Would be interesting to learn more about them :)
yeah.
@@TheLastBacon ah I found it. it was not by igp but anthonmia. (sorry if I misspelled it) the video was "The vesper station has arrived"
What about the 3 predator fossils ? And I never realised that’s where the vents led so the main base is where the peepers go awesome😄😄😄😄😎😎😎😎😊👍🏻!!!
It is a cool touch by the devs :) We don't really know too much about the fossils, but I might try looking into it :)
The Last Bacon that would be pretty awesome I’d definitely watch that too😊👍🏻
Zacimus the master Shooter ua-cam.com/video/hXoxn9q1DUQ/v-deo.html
Zacimus Prime imagine if that massive crocodile looking one is in the new dlc in a new void and it’s like 10x as big as a sea emperor and when you try to scan it the pda only says [ERROR: NOT FOUND] and under that it says fossil and then a bunch of weird maybe precursor language
me feeling bad for the sea emperor stuck in the containment for years
also me abandoning my hoverfish in an alien containment
Both are a great tragedy :)
I like how he says just go play the game and come back like it’s some 20 minute game and u can just finish it like that
Haha well - it would indeed be impressive if someone did it in 20 min :)
It’s HOURS long!
But technically you can complete it in 7:19 minutes in creative/any mode.
If you count Below Zero as a Subnautica, i like the Snow Stalker the most. But the Emperor is my second favourite creature in the game. Tons of facts and key to the story.
Snow stalkers are definitely awesome too :) getting a lot of interactability lately!
i think the sea emperor is the sea dragon evolution because it was born in the facility so it grow differently to the sea dragon(hint the 7 tail and the middle is the longest and the *paddle* has evolve from the sea dragon *hand* thats why they look so alike and because it was taken care of by the precursor so it got wayy bigger and has the ability to comunicate.
It's probably possible :) however, do remember that Emperors were a separate species from the Dragons that once lived (probably) in the void around the crater.
I have learned more stuff on this channel than I have learned in school
Haha really glad you did! :)
I’m going to game right now I got it for Christmas (:
Enjoy :) it really is a great game.
Did you also get it for free from Epic games?
It was free in epic game store
fun fact?: I think the Warper limbs was used for this big lady, the arms kinda at an angle like the warper, and well, the tentacles at the bottom.
Yeah the warpers definitely share some similarities with these :)
Im so sad that it dies 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Yep :) a surprisingly emotional scene considering the brief interactions you've had.
I thought she was sleeping
Did your sadness kill it?
You have a roleplaying name and it's Fortnite.
Kill me.
ShieGie wait, who does?
"The largest living species"
Return of the Ancients: *_gulp_*
Yep :D Not anymore!
They r ment to be in the DLC but that's bcs of someone *blanking* the *blank*
Wat
My sister: is mean to me sea empoeror: are you here to play me: happiness noise
Haha at least the emperor is nice :)
Guys get this, I was playing in creative mode and hatched the emperor babies and released them. But then, when I was looking for one of the life pods, I saw one, but it has grown to adulthood.
Man they grow so fast😭😭😭
Time goes by fast when you're having fun I guess :D
The gap between the eyes on each side is a pupil you can’t unsee it
Ok that makes me uncomfortable :D
Just squinting at you, or, or that the origanal attempt?
Did the devs want it to have 2 human eyes?
So does any fish in subnautica have fins of steel to eat or battle this thing
Seem like there is none :)
Grim reaper.
eats spicy takis menacingly-*oh so your approaching me notification?*
I always eat my spicy takis menacingly :D
Does spoiler alert and after thath does not tell everything due to spoilers wtf everyone after thath spoiler alert has completed The game
Well I only say the spoilers which are necessary to the video :) despite the alert, it isn't my intention to unnecessarily spoil the whole game.
that awkward moment when i've hatched the juveniles, cured the planet of Kharra, disabled the gun and boarded my rocket to leave. All just to never fix the aurora and let the radiation kill the planet...
Haha rip to the ecosystem :D
I also accidentally did that, but I came back and fixed the Auraura
In subnautica bz(below zero) there is an emperor leviathan near lily pads biome
True :) it has been theorized that it is one of these juveniles.
Not anymore. The story got changed and they got cut. :-(
when bart torgal says "The visions are getting worse" It's the sea emperor trying to get him to her. Kinda sad he wasn't able to get there...
Yeah probably! :) Unfortunate indeed...
Why do you always have the first 3 letters a different color
Just repeating the design of the Subnautica logo :) ....and creating memes in the process.
The Last Bacon SEA EMP LOR
@@cometflamer pep lor
Dude I actually love your videos I've commented on your channel three days in a row now remember me yet 😂
Thank you very much :) I think so!
Curses to all who trap any of the baby Sea Emperors after they escape from the alien aquarium!
The true real-life villains :D
i had a dream that i was in subnuatica, but there was something odd, a huge crater opened up in the lost river, and something communitcated with me when i went near it, but the sea emperor was long dead. i never went in as it wasnt a dream i could fullly control
Well that sounds terrifying :O
Strange?
i like how it says 'are you here to play'
Cute :)
@@TheLastBacon i found it kind of creepy the first time,
Is her
I Would Really Like A Mod Or DLC Where You Play As Ridley Again In An Alternate Timeline Where Ridley Didn't Leave The Planet And Tried To Save The Adult Sea Emperor From Dying , You Can Tell I Was Sad When She Died.
Trust me I was sad too :(
@@TheLastBacon Now I Just Remember Its Spelled "Ryley".
Spoilers slip out
Chandler Nelms duh
thank you so much for the discussion
Thank you for participating :)
Nice title. Who crashed the erore? And people tried to SpoAhe the game.
I like how I didn't think these thumbnails would be memed back when I made them :)
It's definitely one of the possible explanations :)
If you give the cute fish a super mushroom it becomes a sea emperor Leviathan.
Haha that would be quite the twist :)
@@TheLastBacon jk bruh.
Huh was it after the young ones hatched? :)
Or is it just me
You’re right about it being hostile :) But I’m not sure if the original story they were planning was recorded anywhere.
I like how you can find them around the map after they hatch
True it’s a cool touch :)
> hatching babies near reaper hunting grounds
excellent choice
Poor babies :)
I wished that the emperor leviathan would give a spell/enchantment that the leviathans would not be hostle yet mild pacifist.
Would be cool to also possess that ability :)
The Sea Emperor does use telepathy to keep all the other fauna in the aquarium friendly. So that's something.
