Great idea using laws to force an argument to see if they use a logical fallacy

Lem must be a genius because when you ask him one question, his brain produces 1,000,000 answers for 1,000,000 different questions.

Lem's reasons for taking down Christmas decorations... "Fairly soon your neighbour will be jumping down your chimney and choking you with eggnog under the mistletoe."

The guy on the far right is harboring a child pre dator on bail. Strong conservative values.

My Christmas tree didn't get taken down this whole year. We started to do it in march.. then we just said forget it. Come and take it.
And no icicles in Texas eh? Clearly you have never been here, it's snow we never have. Our weather hops from extreme to extreme. Its either sweltering heat or frigid cold. We don't get any of the fun weather. No snow, no gentle spring breezes, just what makes us strong. You weak, soft states... you act like you hate Texas, but you're just jealous of our magnificence.
Now as for the content we have an undisclosed truth about these fallacies, which is that they can be used properly in an argument. This is where I believe Daniel lost points, while his subject matter was made up, his argument could be taken as valid for the sake of the scenario. It's a difference between presenting the truth, be it hard facts and history, or grasping at straws and the ridiculous. Just because one uses a slippery slope, or presents an origin as a case for issues on a subject does not make it a fallacy, sometimes it's just what we refer to as part of common sense. We are by nature analytical creatures, we learn by experience, and while anecdotal evidence should always be taken with a dose of skepticism, past experiences can provide reasonable evidence to be used in a slippery slope, or origin based argument as long as it is accompanied by explanation and preferably tangible evidence.
