These work awesome. I do the preroll way. My only minor criticism is I think they should be including these on all bags going forward rather than as an add on.

That Mystery Ranch pack is garbage... no idea what you're talking about. The bottom is slanted so it always falls over. The back panel bends and curves under its own weight when you do try to stand it up. The side pockets don't stretch at all and when you use them, they take up space on the inside of the pack. The two top side pockets cause the outside of the pack to bulge above the aforementioned non-stretching "water bottle" pockets, making them even more difficult to make use of. The load lifters literally aren't designed to actually do anything, and why are they on a pack under 30L anyway? When loaded up, the pack pulls crazy far out from the body, because there's so much space in the back laptop compartment and all of the organization is in the front main compartment that's slanted. If you want to pack anything in the bottom but also have access to it, you either can't use the two internal tube pockets on the front inside along the zipper, or you have to empty one of those pockets to be able to gain access to whatever is below them. The main vertical zip is pretty pointless in the same respect, because you still have to remove whatever is in those two pockets to get to the bottom space of the pack that is slanted for some incredibly stupid reason.
If you want to return it, you again have to pay a huge shipping fee, even though you paid to ship it originally, AND you're at the mercy of Mystery Ranch determining whether or not they'll accept it back in its "new" condition.
$180 shipped for this trash was a ripoff and people should stop saying it's a good pack. It's like they never even used it; like they got it in for a review, opened it, looked at it, filled it with random junk, and said "it carries things so it's good."
I find it hilarious that I stumbled on this video looking for a way to manage the same ridiculously long straps on the same crap bag that I spent $180 on because of positive reviews.
A ONE HUNDRED EIGHT DOLLAR DAY PACK SHIPPED, AND THEY DIDN'T EVEN THROW IN TWO MEASLY STRAP KEEPERS WHEN THEY MAKE THEM IN HOUSE!
    DISGUSTING.

Had the UA 21L and found the lack of organization and size underwhelming. I returned it and got the Rip Ruck 15L and even though it was a lot smaller I had an easier time packing all my stuff. Sorry your experience was so bad!
