Oh hey that’s me 😅 this is actually pretty humbling in a way thanks for sharing my team! If you ever wanna breath life into old games and maybe you don’t want to do a nuzlocke, I highly recommend doing a team of bad mons. It can really make a game more enjoyable.
Did you use that team for Shining Pearl? I want to see a play through of your team with the modern mechanics (although Noctowl lost Silver Wind, that move is in Legends Arceus).
I’ve been doing this since Gen 6! It’s so fun!!! Now some of my favorite Pokemon are the “bad” ones that I used for my bad mon’s run. It truly makes the game challenging but in a fun way!!
I saw my comment in the video, thats nice. I the use of Noctowl; its not the typical bird you see used in Sinnoh. This was my Moon Team: Decidueye, Greninja, Talonflame, Alolan Sandslash, Golisopod, Kommo-O
I love running a Pachirisu for early game, Super Fang & Grass knot combo helps take out Bronzors that you run into in wayward cave and with Team Galactic grunts
I had a lot of fun with my mono Grass team on Pokemon Black. It was my first time doing a Monotype run and I chose Grass because it would be the most challenging type with a lot of Gyms being strong against it and N having a Reshiram in a final fight. The team was: - Serperior: Leaf Blade, Strength, Leech Seed and Coil - Simisage: Seed Bomb, Brick Break, Dig and Rock Slide/Rock Tomb - Leavanny: X-Scissor, Leaf Blade, Slash and Swords Dance - Lilligant (MVP): Petal Dance, Giga Drain, Sleep Powder and Quiver Dance - Sawsbuck: Horn Leech, Double-Edge, Jump Kick and Wild Charge/Substitute - Ferrothorn: Gyro Ball, Power Whip, Thunder Wave and Curse Simisage was the only one faster than Reshiram so I had to slow it down with Rock Tomb and then spam Substitute with Sawsbuck until it ran out of its only Fire move's PP or my entire team would be OHKOd. Still wasn't easy to beat N's entire team with 4 Pokemon left after stalling out those Fire moves. No doubt one of my most fun playthroughs ever.
Here's my Legends Arceus Team: (and yes, i also don't have a starter pokémon on my team) - Infernape (in that game he is not a starter) - Roserade - Walrein - Gliscor - Electivire - Hisuian Zoroark
I definitely knew I was screwed when I fought Dialga with a level 20-something Prinplup, and a garchomp that someone traded me and I used it for the whole game. I beat the ice gym with that garchomp (surprisingly).
I have a team i tried in Sapphire. •Shedinja: Dig, Shadow Ball, Double Team, Confuse Ray •Swalot: Toxic, Sludge Bomb, Shock Wave, Ice Beam •Spinda: Dizzy Punch, Thrash, Teter Dance, Psychic •Lunatone: Psychic, Rock Tomb, Cosmic Power, Calm Mind •Tropius: Fly, Solarbeam, Giga Drain, Sunny Day •Crawdaunt: Crabhammer, Brick Break, Aerial Ace, Swords Dance I know that these pokemon are spaced out pretty good but what i tend to do is skip trainers until i catch them, then go back and battle them to train then up. This also lets u have HM slave slot for a good chunk of the run. This team could probably be used in Alpha Sapphire too with better movesets. If u choose my team, good luck!
The Dustox in the thumbnail definitely clickbaited me, since I actually used a really similar one on my team for my first Emerald playthrough (psybeam, silver wind, toxic, moonlight). Other members of the team were Pelipper, Flygon, Walrein, Magneton, and my starter, Dynamicpunch Grovyle houlding the everstone
I actually used Bibarel in my first playthrough of BDSP. For fun, I ran it as a special attacker. Its moveset was Surf, Ice Beam, Shadow Ball, and Charge Beam. Surf for STAB, of course, and Ice Beam, Shadow Ball, and Charge Beam for coverage against Grass, Dragon, Ghost, and other Water types. Charge Beam instead of Thunderbolt because my Bibarel had the ability Simple. So instead of a special attack raise by 1, it's by 2 raising it even more. It was fun. I don't regret it.
Also, mono fairy for Sun (I, as Aru, used Primarina "Aukai", Ribombee "Abu", Sylveon "Akela", Ninetales-Alola "Aurora", Klefki "Alex", Mimikyu "Aruna") and mono ghost for Moon (I, as Aku, used Decidueye "Archer", Drifblim "Aerie", Marowak-Alola "Afu", Sableye "Arthur", Palossand "Arena", Mimikyu "Akuna").
In black 2 there was one of my starterless runs that was so fun that i played it again 2 yrs later it consisted of these mons: Golduck (Basically starter) Scolipede Swoobat Flygon Whimsicott Heatmor
I think Gen 5 lends itself well to starterless runs, but that could just be personal bias since I don't like those starters that much. When I replayed White 1 I transferred Houndour and Lotad to use as my starters, idr the rest of the team off the top of my head but I know Sigilyph and Sawk were members cause I used a light screen + low sweep + brick break combo to beat Hydreigon
I clicked on this while I was doing my platinum nuzlocke Btw I beat my first game ever diamond after 9 years and my team was: Infernape Luxray Azumarill Honchkrow Rampardos Weavile (I had to breed to give weavile ice punch)
I want to make 2 teams that I think would be fun Weakest typing team Bug-Kricketune Grass-tortera Rock-fossils or sudowoodo Ice-weavile Poison-tentacruel Flying-staraptor Rarest typing in sinnoh Dragon-garchomp Steel-bronzong Fire-infernape Ghost-drifblim Ice-abomasnow Dark-drapion
My current platinum playthrough team: No Starter Ambipom (Dexter) Drifblim (Taylor) -short for Taylor drift Gliscor (Gwen) Pachirisu (Reese) Lumineon (Trinity) Leafeon (Phillip)
Oh, HEY!! Bibarel and Dustox? Nice. I used those strats before too, but with some differences. Bibarel was in my original team, along with Crobat. Bibarel had Rock Climb, Waterfall, Rock Smash, Surf. Mainly because TMs are rather scarce, and thought that I could use Ice Beam on other mons. Crobat had similar to the Dustox having Toxic and Protect, but also had Fly and Defog. XD Despite them being HM Slaves, I made sure that they level enough to hit hard. Hehehe. I'm also one of the weirder ones who never used a fire type that time, until Platinum came in with Houndoom line. I'd probably keep Hypnosis on my Noctowl, if I had it. Pachirisu would've had Super Fang, Spark, Dig, and Thunder Wave/Grass Knot depending if I want it to deal damage, or bother to use a slot for paralysis. XD
I didn't know that they stopped supporting the 3DS when I was going to play Moon using your no restrictions team. Had to drop the 3 trade evolutions and made my own team. Idk how good it is though but I spent a couple hours coming up with it. Incineroar, Salamence, Sylveon, Golisopod, Dhelmise, and Alolan Sandslash. I gave them moves for their typings, their own weakness coverage, and if they had a move left over I tried to cover a different typing the other Pokemon couldn't.
I just did a Shining Pearl playthrough, this was my Team: Torterra, Kricketune, Lickilicky, Gastrodon, Clefable, and Medicham. I wanted to use Pokemon that I never used before in any play through from any game, thus this team was born.
This team sounds way more useful than my last Sinnoh team. It was all babies and it was pretty tedious. I had Magby, Elekid, Smoochum, Mantyke, Bonsly and Budew.
Growing up, I always have played dual type Pokemon no repeats starting in Gen 2, but I hatch my Pokemon first soni have my full team throughout the game. Recently, I did some Pokemath to determine the best way to go through the game by defeating the rival, Elite Four, all Kanto gym leaders, & Red. It's impossible to do with all stab moves so I broke it up into two teams that both could fare well against the rival, one team beating the Elite Four while the second takes on the Kanto postgame. I broke these teams up to be: Johto- Magcargo, Lanturn, Dragonite, Girafarig, Scizor, Sneasel Kanto- Parasect, Magneton, Tyranitar, Xatu, Poliwrath, & Nidoking
This is what I did with Pokemon X and Y. Many people think those games are way too easy with it giving you 2 starters, an OP Lucario, and the box legendary before you beat the game…
Currently running a Black 2 play through. Using Pokemon I never used before. Ditched my starter (Tepig) for a Riolu. Team right now consists of: Elektross Roserade Arcanine Lucario Gigalith Mandibuzz
The thing of sinnoh not having fire types has always been fine for me because I’ve hardly ever once actually needed or felt like I need a fire type for sinnoh it usually gets replaced by a normal type that can spam fire moves or a special attacker
You already showcased my team I used from platinum, when I have time to replay the gen 5 games, I will come up with a new cool team for you to showcase.
I haven't done it yet but I was planning on doing a playthrough of Pokemon shield but not use any gen 8 pokemon, except for the starter until a replacement could be caught
The team that meant the most to me as it was what helped me beat my first nuzlocke and it was my second playthrough of violet. I had attempted many before but was unsuccessful anyway... Gyarados Garchomp Flamingo(shiny) Houndoom Gardevoir Raichu Fuecoco/skeledirge came before houndoom and a donphan came before garchomp
Can someone suggest me a 6th pokemon for emerald, I’m starting victory road now for the first time ever but only have 5 pokemon 1) swampert 2) manetric 3)breloom 4)crowbat 5)requaza
I'm working on a new randomized Radical Red nuzlocke right now, and my team is shaping up to be weird. The randomizer has been good to me overall. I'm about to take on nugget bridge with a team of Hitmonlee, Shiftry, Carracosta, Toxapex, Shelgon, and a FREAKING VOLCARONA!!! I've also got Flareon, Quilava, Tentacool, Azumarill, Morelull, Solosis, Rockruff, Lairon, Koffing, and Pawmo in the PC. Assuming I can keep them alive, I'm thinking my final team will involve Hisuian Typholsian, Shiftry, Salamence, Mega-Aggron, Volcarona, and Galarian Weezing. Unless I catch something crazy good. There's a lot of run left.
pokemon platinum - trickroom and sandstorm team! Hippowdon - EQ, Fire Fang, Thunder Fang, Ice Fang - Held smooth rock Bronzong - Trick Room, Flash Cannon, Extrasensory, light screen/reflect - Held light clay Magnezone - Reflect/Light screen, flash cannon, thunderbolt, thunder wave - held Choice Specs Gastrodon - blizzard, Surf, mud bomb, recover- Held wide lens Probopass - Toxic, protect, rock slide, thunderwave - held leftovers Torterra - EQ, Crunch, curse, wood hammer - held expert belt was fun after beating the game initially with your typical starter plus luxray plus staraptor type of playthrough
Even though I can remember some of my teams due to me planning most of my teams either around my white 2 play through or my x playthrough but even if I remember what pokemon I used I can never remember what moveset I had on them especially since it’s been years since those play throughs and I barely remember half the team members I used on half the teams in the past decade
Its cool and all But i play Pokemon platinum using only Artifial/Human created pokemons Muk: Sludge Bomb Minimize Flamethrower and Mud Bomb Magnezone: Thunderbolt Shock wave flash and flash cannon Claydol: dig confusion acient power and grass knot Electrode: Charge Beam Swift Thunderbolt AND EXPLOSION Bannette: Feint attack astonish shadow ball and curse And finally Porygon z: Ice beam psychic thunderbolt and tri attack Claydoll, Muk, Electrode and bannette where via trade egg if you ask and i play this on japanese platinum and it was good Try to analize that bro.
I genuinely think peiple sleeo on some of the early on normal types you can get in games. I like to pretend sometimes that i was too poor to afford a starter so my parents help me catch one of the early on normal mons. For black and white i think Stoutland is such an underappreciated mon. It has great bulk, decent attack, and speed. Heres what i run for my no mon team for black and white Stoutland- Intimidate Work up Ice fang Facade Crunch Swoobat has great speed so i run Calm mind Fly Giga drain Psyhic Crustle Rock tomb - which fan be replaced later X Scissor Shell smash Poison jab Ferarthorn Power whip Iron head Bulldoze Payback Stunfisk. I love stunfisk Sludge bomb Scald or surf Mud bomb Discharge And the last spot i usually do pansage or darmanatan. But dont knock this team and until u try it
I am currently doing a team in diamond with infernape ( first time using it) , Octillery, Drifblim, Wormadam ( ground type) , Mothim ( I like it's design and I found an extra burmy in another Honey tree) , steelix, I'm at volkners gym right now and can't wait to destroy it with my steelix 😁
I recently replayed pokemon shield. I tried to only use pokemon who looked funny to me. In the end it became a funny rain team. The team was: Pelipper with u-turn, hurricane, hydro pump and tail wind its ability was drizzle. Nickname: Gustav Bewear with drain punch, shadow claw, dragon claw and sword dance its abililty fluffy Nickname: Big Momma Ludicolo with teeter dance, energy ball, hydro pump and ice beam Nickname: Antsinpants Dracovish with fishious rend, crunch, psychic fangs and ice fang its ability strong jaw nickname: Chomper Goodra with surf, sludge bomb, dragon pulse and thunder its ability hydration Nickname: goochie goo And mr. Rime with freeze dry, psyshock, shadow ball and nasty plot its ability tangled feet nickname: Chaplin
I think Sinnoh is my least favorite region because of much colder weather and lack of much fire types by base stage Original Diamond and Pearl is slow but Platinum is best and BDSP is better than original DP Hisui is a good place to explore in the past
I enjoyed using bibarel when I played the gen 4 remakes. With Simple, you can get a lot of milage out of stat-boosting moves, and it learns some good ones.
This guy is all over the place. He says the teams are picked at random and then proceeds to tell you why he specifically chose the team. Then he "doesn't know" Pachurisu's move set but then immediately knows Dustox move set? 🤡
Oh hey that’s me 😅 this is actually pretty humbling in a way thanks for sharing my team! If you ever wanna breath life into old games and maybe you don’t want to do a nuzlocke, I highly recommend doing a team of bad mons. It can really make a game more enjoyable.
What were your actual move sets?im so curious lol
Did you use that team for Shining Pearl? I want to see a play through of your team with the modern mechanics (although Noctowl lost Silver Wind, that move is in Legends Arceus).
@@juanca2567 I just used a ds copy of pearl, a lot of grinding lol. But I’m sure this team could even more fun in shining pearl good luck to you!
P
I’ve been doing this since Gen 6! It’s so fun!!! Now some of my favorite Pokemon are the “bad” ones that I used for my bad mon’s run. It truly makes the game challenging but in a fun way!!
Not having a starter is insane. My favorite trio of all time.

Simisage was the only one faster than Reshiram so I had to slow it down with Rock Tomb and then spam Substitute with Sawsbuck until it ran out of its only Fire move's PP or my entire team would be OHKOd. Still wasn't easy to beat N's entire team with 4 Pokemon left after stalling out those Fire moves. No doubt one of my most fun playthroughs ever.
Monotype runs are great. My most recent was a Normal type run of Scarlet.
Me watching as I play BD with bad Pokémon:
"Interesting"
Here's my Legends Arceus Team: (and yes, i also don't have a starter pokémon on my team)
- Infernape (in that game he is not a starter)
- Roserade
- Walrein
- Gliscor
- Electivire
- Hisuian Zoroark
basically used same team but i used samoraut instead of zoroark
I definitely knew I was screwed when I fought Dialga with a level 20-something Prinplup, and a garchomp that someone traded me and I used it for the whole game. I beat the ice gym with that garchomp (surprisingly).

Perfect timing as I started my new Platinum playthrough Saturday
Also, mono fairy for Sun (I, as Aru, used Primarina "Aukai", Ribombee "Abu", Sylveon "Akela", Ninetales-Alola "Aurora", Klefki "Alex", Mimikyu "Aruna") and mono ghost for Moon (I, as Aku, used Decidueye "Archer", Drifblim "Aerie", Marowak-Alola "Afu", Sableye "Arthur", Palossand "Arena", Mimikyu "Akuna").

Btw I beat my first game ever diamond after 9 years and my team was:
Infernape
Luxray
Azumarill
Honchkrow
Rampardos
Weavile
(I had to breed to give weavile ice punch)
Yeah when I played Diamond I used Ice Shard on Weavile. No move tutors are rough.
Les go, someone with the liking towards the Big Boss Crow
I want to make 2 teams that I think would be fun
Weakest typing team
Bug-Kricketune
Grass-tortera
Rock-fossils or sudowoodo
Ice-weavile
Poison-tentacruel
Flying-staraptor
Rarest typing in sinnoh
Dragon-garchomp
Steel-bronzong
Fire-infernape
Ghost-drifblim
Ice-abomasnow
Dark-drapion
Im doing my first Platinum playthrough in years. Empoleon, Roserade, Chimecho, Blissey, Medicham, Noctowl
My current platinum playthrough team:
No Starter
Ambipom (Dexter)
Drifblim (Taylor) -short for Taylor drift
Gliscor (Gwen)
Pachirisu (Reese)
Lumineon (Trinity)
Leafeon (Phillip)
Taylor is the flyer and all hm moves are disturbed throughout the team
Pachirisu was in my first ever Pearl team in 07. Great memories. At least it was better than Minun on GBA
6:53 The fossil Furret?
Oh, HEY!! Bibarel and Dustox? Nice.

Mono Water (Sword):
Owen/Inteleon (U-Turn/Mud Shot/Ice Beam/Snipe Shot)
Clair/Gyarados (Crunch/Dragon Dance/Bulldoze/Waterfall)
Samurai/Golisopod (Leech Life/Drill Run/Rock Slide/Liquidation)
Pearl/Cloyster w/ HA Overcoat (Icicle Crash/Rock Blast/Smart Strike/Razor Shell)
Polly/Seismitoad (Earth Power/Ice Punch/Muddy Water/Rain Dance)
Dave/Octillery (Energy Ball/Flamethrower/Ice Beam/Scald)
I just did a Shining Pearl playthrough, this was my Team: Torterra, Kricketune, Lickilicky, Gastrodon, Clefable, and Medicham. I wanted to use Pokemon that I never used before in any play through from any game, thus this team was born.
This team sounds way more useful than my last Sinnoh team. It was all babies and it was pretty tedious.
I had Magby, Elekid, Smoochum, Mantyke, Bonsly and Budew.
I also like Dustox, because it looks cool. Yes, I'm one of those players that choose based on how cool it looks, and not on practicality.
Heres my white 2 team
Samurott
Braviary
Darmanitan
Zoroark
Lucario
Sawsbuck

I love Dustox so Im glad to see it get some hype, I love using Chimecho, Krickitune, Carnivine, Mime Jr, Yanmega and gastrodon
Gyarados
Garchomp
Flamingo(shiny)
Houndoom
Gardevoir
Raichu
Fuecoco/skeledirge came before houndoom and a donphan came before garchomp
I used Bastiodon in my last pearl run, it had a modest nature and i played it with metalsound, flash cannon and thunder
My current Emerald run is Breloom, Ninjask, Gardevior, Aggron, Walrein and Flygon. Has definitely been a fun team.
Can someone suggest me a 6th pokemon for emerald, I’m starting victory road now for the first time ever but only have 5 pokemon
1) swampert
2) manetric
3)breloom
4)crowbat
5)requaza
Torkoal
Having Bastiodon actually sounds fun I never had a Fossil not even in the Galar games I always wa Ted tot Ryan one
Hippowdon - EQ, Fire Fang, Thunder Fang, Ice Fang - Held smooth rock
Bronzong - Trick Room, Flash Cannon, Extrasensory, light screen/reflect - Held light clay
Magnezone - Reflect/Light screen, flash cannon, thunderbolt, thunder wave - held Choice Specs
Gastrodon - blizzard, Surf, mud bomb, recover- Held wide lens
Probopass - Toxic, protect, rock slide, thunderwave - held leftovers
Torterra - EQ, Crunch, curse, wood hammer - held expert belt
was fun after beating the game initially with your typical starter plus luxray plus staraptor type of playthrough
My original HGSS team was Typhlosion, Lanturn, Jumplufff, Yanmega, Delibird, and Smeargle
I ran a full bug team for my scarlet run. Scisor, Venomoth, Frosmoth, Volcarona, Heracross, and Rabasca.
So is Mystic Reads & What ifs abandon?
Even though I can remember some of my teams due to me planning most of my teams either around my white 2 play through or my x playthrough but even if I remember what pokemon I used I can never remember what moveset I had on them especially since it’s been years since those play throughs and I barely remember half the team members I used on half the teams in the past decade
Here’s my team for Pokémon Legends Arceus, all Hisuian forms: Samurott, Arcanine, Electrode, Zoroark, Braviary, and Sneasler
Certainly interesting.
Damn remember when he was gonna bring back a fanfic channel but hasnt touched it in months?
Rapidash's 100 physical attack is god like compared to the others 50 - 60 which is quite amazing
Bibarel was my old HM slave.
Its cool and all
But i play Pokemon platinum using only Artifial/Human created pokemons
Muk: Sludge Bomb Minimize Flamethrower and Mud Bomb
Magnezone: Thunderbolt Shock wave flash and flash cannon
Claydol: dig confusion acient power and grass knot
Electrode: Charge Beam Swift Thunderbolt AND EXPLOSION
Bannette: Feint attack astonish shadow ball and curse
And finally
Porygon z: Ice beam psychic thunderbolt and tri attack
Claydoll, Muk, Electrode and bannette where via trade egg if you ask and i play this on japanese platinum and it was good
Try to analize that bro.
I've been playing w/o a starter & it allows me to make some really fun teams.
Heres what i run for my no mon team for black and white
Stoutland- Intimidate
Work up
Ice fang
Facade
Crunch
Swoobat has great speed so i run
Calm mind
Fly
Giga drain
Psyhic
Crustle
Rock tomb - which fan be replaced later
X Scissor
Shell smash
Poison jab
Ferarthorn
Power whip
Iron head
Bulldoze
Payback
Stunfisk. I love stunfisk
Sludge bomb
Scald or surf
Mud bomb
Discharge
And the last spot i usually do pansage or darmanatan. But dont knock this team and until u try it
I had a weird sorta team for scarlet, skeledrige, haxorus, cetitan, fargiraf, dondozo, and kingambit. Absolutely destroyed the elite 4 tho
Mine was Chatot, Carnivine, Torterra, Lumineon, Bronzong and Lopunny
I am currently doing a team in diamond with infernape ( first time using it) , Octillery, Drifblim, Wormadam ( ground type) , Mothim ( I like it's design and I found an extra burmy in another Honey tree) , steelix, I'm at volkners gym right now and can't wait to destroy it with my steelix 😁
He made a lofi music channel?
I used a pretty cool team in Ultra Sun:
Incineroar
Snorlax
Lycanroc(Midday)
Totem Lurantis
Totem Mimikyu
Golisopod
I recently replayed pokemon shield. I tried to only use pokemon who looked funny to me. In the end it became a funny rain team. The team was:
Pelipper with u-turn, hurricane, hydro pump and tail wind its ability was drizzle. Nickname: Gustav
Bewear with drain punch, shadow claw, dragon claw and sword dance its abililty fluffy Nickname: Big Momma

This guy is all over the place. He says the teams are picked at random and then proceeds to tell you why he specifically chose the team. Then he "doesn't know" Pachurisu's move set but then immediately knows Dustox move set? 🤡
No way that team wins
First, let’s go
