- Carbon Fibre HONDA Badge / Emblem Replicated. Start to Finish Including Mould. EPOXY
In this video i replicate a Honda front car badge into a direct replacement carbon fibre badge using prepreg carbon fibre and out of autoclave curing.
I'm not 100% happy with the final result, there are a few imperfections when sticking down the vinyl logo (Took 3 attempts!) just didn't want to sit nice on the curves.

Your dremel skills are impressive - very stable and accurate hand cut there.
How can I get a link to all of the products used . I want to do this exact thing with the exact emblem
Excellent skills I enjoyed watching the process
Should have the Honda decal in red !
Hello! Where did you get the blue knife from? Is it a rubber knife?
Many thanks!
Amazing!!! VTEC POWER!!!!!
great job and skills!! You inspired me to make one for my alfa romeo!!
one question:
how did you make the sticker?
Thank you! I used a vinyl plotter to cut it. Not expensive to buy for a small one.
Hi sir! Can you sand prepreg carbon cloth ? For example if I wanna paint the 3D lettering on emblem badge and sand areas where paint is not needed? Hope this makes sense. Then obviously clean / clear once sanded. Hope you reply or someone that knows does. Thank you
Please make tutorial for the stickers!! Really struggling to create my own ones
Great job
Nice video thanks!
How much would you want for 2 of them
Which machine is that you're using to seal the vacuum bag?
It's just a standard heat sealing machine.
@@CarbonWorkshops thanks!
Very cool!! Nice Job 👍
Thank you 🤟
did yoiu use epoxy in the oven ? I could not get it
Wait - where did the "H" sticker come from?
I cut it on my vinyl cutter
Hi! which vinyl plotter do you use? TIA
Where did u get the emblem sticker ?
جميل عمل موفق 💪
Salut frere quel est le budget de commencement
For the mold you're using epoxy gelcoat and then a coupling coat? I thought easy composites coupling coat was meant to be used with the ug1 black vinylester gelcoat, not epoxy gelcoat. Are you sure this is supposed to be done?
Thanks
'Technically' it doesn't work. But if gel coat is left the cure overnight it works fine for me. The black uni mould gel coat doesn't work well with prepreg.
@@CarbonWorkshops I see. I only do resin infusions but if possible I wanted to use epoxy gelcoats anyway to avoid the smell of polyester/vinylester stuff. Thanks for answering my questions
With the hollow back, how does it stick to the car?
It would need bonding into position
Very nice ! Where do you get the mold release? Thanks
Jenis fibercarbon apa itu, kayak striker
Where are you selling this?
I'm not really. Just made it for bit of fun
@@CarbonWorkshops you should sell on ebay & etsy. Most people want it but doesn't have skill or equipment you do.
I want a one or 2!!!
That’s new to me.. backing the high temp epoxy with the unimould backing materials I guess it’s the black gel coat that made it not so compatible with the xpreg?
Yeah technically they don't go together. But works good for me so far. The black gel coat for prepreg moulds always left me with pinholes in the parts produced
hi,where do you buy those yellow stuff like playdoh? been searching but couldn’t find.is it from pelikan?
Search yellow Filleting wax. Easy composites sell it
@@CarbonWorkshops thanks mann! btw nice videos & skills!
Wow Nice but alot of work for something pretty to look at.. Great job though..
Did you make the decal to go overtop the carbon piece yourself?
Yes 👍
@@CarbonWorkshops How did you copy the original?
@@bitsurfer0101 very easy using a vinyl cutting program. Copied the image from Google in to the program.
Do you do custom orders for people?
