One of my best friends is a Vet and knows a thing or two about the RSPCA, and said to NEVER donate a penny to them as the whole set up is corrupt with very little genuine animal care.
Most of the big charities might be accused of the same ! All just big corporations with profit as their major aim and a small proportrion goes to charity to justify their existence!
It’s highest paid employees - 103 of them - receive a total of £7,930,000 per annum. Yet they can’t/won’t but a skilled RSPCA Inspector on the kill line of each abattoir they “assure” and make profit from.
How about the RSPCA stop pumping these propaganda adverts into our homes and concentrate on the real cruelty going on day in and day out in this country🔪🐄
I live in Yorkshire and there are 2 rspca officers I think was explained to me by one. I had complained that they didn't collect pets it was down to council. So where is all the money going? PDSA set up for people with little money on benefits has now become what seems privatised maybe. It's no longer donation only and people with sick and dying pets are turned away if they don't have the cash. I stopped supporting them after discovering the insane amount of pets they put to sleep rather than rehomed.
I took a feral cat that lived around me to PDSA, after he got hit by car, they were not interested unless I paid!, I contacted the RSPCA, they sent me to another vet and paid in full inc castration. I brought him back to my yard, where he had a kennel and lived his days by me, fed and vetted when needed. He didn't want to be in my house, he wanted freedom. Best of both worlds.

Some the cattle are terrified hence bunching up. Having worked with cattle what they are doing is achieving the exact oposite and making life farr harder. Putting it mildly stupid and cruel.
Having worked with cattle, this is sad and unnecessary treatment and stressing cattle and pigs to the point were they actually become dangerous. Ironically, they are actually stressing the animals to the point were they bunch up in terror and refuse to move rather than getting them to move forward. Driving cattle forward in a cattle race or crush at most a good upward twist of the tail or a light tap with a balled hand to the back would send anything stuborn forward but usually allowing them a moment 30 seconds or so to calm themselves when trying to load or unload would help things. Personally i found that use of cattle prods or pipe never actually sped up moving or sorting cattle. If it were up to me these would not be used on a farm. The only thing it did was gave frustrated individuals with short tempers the chance to sadistically inflict pain on confined animals.

I work for a supermarket chain driving their trucks and we unfortunately have to go to slaughterhouses to collect the products and although I don’t see what’s happening, the noises and smells coming from those factories only metres away is honestly saddening. We already have 5 drivers who flat out refuse to go and I’m considering joining them. We only see what’s in the packaging and easily forget that was a living, breathing animal. These places are barely regulated and often have Central European workers who don’t have the same empathy toward animals. Heard many horror stories. Sorry to say I do eat meat and do attend these places, guess I’m part of that system.

How about leading and having scrutiny over a review of this matters as opposed to just stepping down. We need a new PDSA too. Once set up for people in need of care for their sick pets. It became abused by people with money using a family member for cheap vet care. Now it turns away people with sick and dying pets unless u have cash. It was a donation only charity not anymore. Rspca wud rather euthanise animals than rehome them.
Rspca are a disgrace they once taped up my neighbours door and put a sign outside her house because of injured cat. The cat didn't even belong to the neighbour she went to the police and reported them. Im not joking seriously unbelievable.
Not all rspca are funded by the main body, our local one in cornwall is an independent unit that has to raise their own funds to keep going and they are brilliant, it was where i adopted my two beautiful boys (dogs) from and would support this rspca unit forever

I gave up on RSPCA years ago when they stabbed pedigree dog breeders in the back at crufts by saying our dogs were better dead than bred. We supported RSPCA at crufts every as far back as i can remember when i started showing in the 70's. Crufts raised in excess of £40,000 every year, but we dont have them at crufts now. The only ones suffering that loss are the animals. They would not help when i reported donkeys bleeding when hailstones were hitting them. They just said there was no law requirements to give them shelter. They are an awful organisation

I have been told that by someone I know who is in the know regarding the RSPCA - he told me NEVER to donate a penny to them.

I gave up on RSPCA years ago when they stabbed pedigree dog breeders in the back at crufts by saying our dogs were better dead than bred. We supported RSPCA at crufts every as far back as i can remember when i started showing in the 70's. Crufts raised in excess of £40,000 every year, but we dont have them at crufts now. The only ones suffering that loss are the animals. They would not help when i reported donkeys bleeding when hailstones were hitting them. They just said there was no law requirements to give them shelter. They are an awful organisation
