35k a month in expenses, 10k for rent/machine lease which is very conservative
    and likely much higher.
    Leaves 25k for labor
25k divided by 7 full timers = 3,570 per month
= 42,850 per year per person including owner.
More realistic would be 15-20k for rent/machines/energy.
    So call it 18k. 35k - 18k = 17k left for labor
17k dividen by 7 full timers = 2,420 per month
= $29,150 per year per person including owner.
Hourly wage of $15 per hour, including owner.
Business is likely making no money after expenses, and moved into a
warehouse that is far too large for the product it produces
or the inventory it will ever need to carry.
Life span of this business will be short.

I completely Agree, Im a serial business owner and I'm looking for my next idea but I just can't think of anything that makes mathematical since... it's almost like there's no way to run any product business that isn't cheap Chinese drop shipped junk, EVERYTHING in the USA is simply too expensive to make any money unless you just get lucky and go viral and even then product lifecycles are so short you only have a few months of high sales. It's a war on small business in this country!

This is motivating, much more so than the showbiz Shark Tank episode. I have a product idea for something a hundred strangers have told me they would love to buy. It improves greatly on a product that has been in most homes for 100 years. Getting started with a physical product is challenging.

Kegs are round because they are stronger that way. You can squeeze in more product in a round cylinder than a square one. I know liquid doesn’t compress but you can still get more volume. On a square keg, it may start to hydro form into a cylinder if to much pressure. Kinda like submarines are round for a reason. But for sheer volume for a home brew, might be a selling point.

They showed a deformed one, it was spherical. You and I will never develop a product, because it will never be right, yet there are at least a billion people out there who will never think that far ahead, they'll just be stuck for a gift idea, see the show and buy one for any lush in their lives. I didn't hear what the intended use case for these even was. Is this supposed to be like a growler for take-home brew from the local? Was there are Carbonization attachment. It reminds me of those mini homebrew kits that were hot for a minute. Either you use it and buy advanced gear or you don't.
On the other hand how much $ have those Shark Tank guys made? Sure looks like someone got a bargain valuing this at $1.5M. Do they offer anything beyond your appearance on the show? Like, Hey Mark, we're falling a little behind here with the holidays approaching, how are your TIG skills? Oh that's too bad, well, we can put you on the leak testing and acid washing I guess

Kegs are round because of pressure and they are to heavy to carry and will be rolled. That is the only purpose why humans invented round kegs and not square (and also it's easier to get a round wooden keg sealed than a sqare one). Nowadays we have forklifts everywhere but still if you own a bar and your cooling storage is in the basement you will never get a keg easier down the steps than a round one.
This is so stupid I can't believe people buy it. But in the USA people buy all sort of bullshit. Wouldn't work in Germany.

I see the CO2 cartridges and the problem with that is beer takes a special gas called, wait for it, beer gas to work properly, otherwise it just foams like crazy. I like the idea. It’s $279 on Amazon as of august 2024 and that a ton of money for a tiny keg. There are so many options for kegs that it just doesn’t make sense. If you are bored and just want to spend $300 you could buy a ton of beer for $279. I understand wanting to support an American company too. If I wanted a keg either for beer or soda I would just buy a small fridge with a tap on it already and put a nice little pony keg in it. If I just wanted it for soda at home I would buy a soda stream. Still a cool product and story.
