sikhs - hindu people do murti pooja , everyone knows god doesnt exist in a stone murti , but then u cry when someone burns ur holy book , it seems like ur paper has god inside it but our stone murtis are fake as shit , just like ur fake made up religion
difference being our Guru is the gurbani residing on those pages , we do not bow to paper but the gian of gurbani. Bro I've seen Hindus losing it too if someone destroys their focal point so why the hate ?

Bhai Sahib - should our goal be to minimize how often we are intoxicated by Maya or to aim to never be intoxicated by Maya even for a second? If the latter, is that realistic?
In my opinion, the goal is to reach 'Sachkand' and we do that by not being intoxicated by Maya as much as possible. My current way of thinking and putting into practice is to not think at all when not needed, for example, if I am at work I need to use my mind so we live in Maya. However, when not working, I can be thinking of a million things but try to practice quietness where I do not think at all. My guess is if I can learn to keep my mind quiet and use it when needed like other facilities I have (i.e. hands and feet) then I can control the mind to a certain degree and the next step is to bring naam inside instead of thinking about nothing. Further, I try to get rid of dualism, meaning I am not separate from God but part of God. "I' as myself with a name, job, etc. is temporary but the eternal God is not temporary and is part of me so by quieting the mind, connecting to naam, I get rid of dualism and the concept of 'I', ego. I am in the starting stages so not sure if this makes sense but just my two cents.
I think the goal should be to recognise Maya as a state of mind. Maya is not the material objects around us, but the distraction that our minds get when we think that life is permanent. We need to always remember that all things in life are temporary and the Naam is permanent. Naam is to remember that permanent truth of Oneness and we should always try to be aware of that. This can be done by trying to remember Naam as much as possible throughout the day and asking for Naam in Ardas. This way we can engage with the material world, without being distracted by it.

so there is no Maya in satjug??
there is but not as bad as this age
so then by extension when we are with satguru. we are living in satjug.
Where there is complete Piousness, there is Satyug
Where there is Partial Divinity but mixed with little unholiness, there is Tretayug
Where there is both, there is Dwaparyug
Where there is complete wickedness and MAYA, Kaliyug paves its way..
These are just my own interpretations based on various religious texts that I have read

That's not real meaning of Kal yug. You are partly right. Kal or Kali means the fallen world or the mortal world we are living in. This will be changed or ushered in by the grace of Guru into Satyug. This Earth & jeevs are separated from the nij ghar ( sach khand ) for a grand purpose . Then in due time , Earth will be celestialised or redeemed ready to go back into the presence of the Almighty. BahaiGurdas Ji says'" prithvi sach khand dhoa . Kal yug is time bound,whereas sach khand is timeless or eternity, no beginning or end. In Kal yug man is given a wrestle to prepare to meet his Maker. Ab teri milan ki baria.
Oo so you can comment on hindus topic and evolve your theory from this but when hindus say sikhi is a part of Hinduism than your have a problem.......im not criticized you that you convert Hinduism topic in favor of Sikhism but my criticism is for those sikhs which insult and neglecting Sikhism origin from Hinduism sanatan dharma
