You're right about country folk not claiming it. Lol
killatella90 can you please react to like you by jarren between you won't regret it hes like rittz
when this song first came on the radio my 7yr old son said "dad what is this turn it to the country station" LOL
I miss steel guitars, banjos, and fiddles. Texas Red Dirt Country is the only modern country I listen to anymore.
Michael Sheeran as do I! Love fiddles!
Should have done body like a back road... Way way way better
If you listen to sam hunts songs from the perspective of him being a serial killer and singing about his victims... It's much more entertaining. Lol
Jason Roberts love it! Haha
game changer
Hilarious.....so true!!! Haha
I just listened to this song again with that frame of mind! Epic!
And how would you know that. And is there a reward out for you lol
Lol! I need to try this!
Pick up song that country folk will claim "The Chair" by George Strait
Amen!
Or Statue of a Fool, Ricky Van Shelton. Great songs!
Yes "The Chair" is a great pick up song
I need to go listen to that now. The new stuff is kinda sad. So generic.
Yesss
“Body like a black road was a good one” 😂😂😂
Jaron and the Long Road to Love "Pray For You" This song will crack you up
Haha! Agreed!
YES.
Love that song.
Garth Brooks' "The Dance". Is one of the most beautiful country songs ever written
I think they did Garth Brooks "The thunder rolls" but UA-cam shut it down.
@@Bnathanb1982 why would they do that
Copyright stuff....Garth Brooks is NOTORIOUS for not letting people use his music for gain. Just like on all the music platforms he doesn't allow people to just purchase one song(at least he didn't used to, not positive now)
The Dance was my graduation song lol
Yes!!!! Y'all are awesome, hit the nail on the head! No this is not country lmaooooo
John Michael Montgomery - Sold [The Grundy County Auction Incident]
Joe Nichols- Brokenheartsville
Brooks & Dunn- Neon
Tim McGraw- One of those Nights
Toby Keith - How Do You Like Me Now
Toby Keiths - How do you like me now - would be a great song to hear them review!!
Yes! All of the above!
This is country for sure
Friend: I need you to do me a favor
Me: You gonna have to wait, Lost In Vegas just posted a new reaction video
Friend: What's Lost In Vegas?

Do three wooden crosses by Randy Travis
Angler outdoors 99 yesssss
Very good pick.
You trying see our dudes cry? This is how you do it. This and Chris Young - Flowers
Y'all trying to make these dudes cry
This
Luke Combs - “when it rains it pours” if you want a legitimate country song from today’s country
Kyle Rhodes lol if you can read correctly you will see it says “today’s “ country. Obviously implying that it is country for today’s times. It is not Strait, Tritt, or Jackson. Hope your comment made you feel better 😂
I would still like to hear them react to that song it is pretty damn good, it does use old country story telling....
Do anything by Luke Combs. He’s insane
"She Got The Best Of Me" - he sings his butt off in that song.
Literally been saying this every video 😂
This cowboys hat by Chris ledoux!!! Or western skies or seventeen or stampede! After chris ledoux play his son ned ledoux! Some people do is good, so is brother highway. The similarities is AMAZING between the two. Back history is necessary afterwards
youdontnee dtoknow Seventeen is great!!!
lets be real everything chris ledoux sings in great
17!!!
Billy Currington “Must be doin Something Right “
Dope song
YES!!!!
yes
"The Chair" by George Straight is the OG country pickup song.
Yes!!!!!
E
Oh yeah.
do this pleaseeee
Truth. You won’t find George doing the dirty version but my brother Jeff does it and its awesome. LOL.
The problem with Country music is that it has just as many varieties as rock but it's all shoved under the "Country" umbrella and they are not the same at all...its like playing Elvis and Slipknot on the same station...not gonna happen
same as hip hop
Yep. This is a prime example of what we're talking about when we say "That's not country music"
It's pop music with a southern twang. It feels like the pop music that top 40 radio wouldn't take so Nashville was like "Hey, we'll take em!"
I think Ryan has the gist of it. He is just trying to pick her and be a one night stand. It's definitely NOT country but I like all kinds of music so I like this. However, wish the country genre would not have classified this as such when clearly it's not country.
If you listen to 80s country, this is similar lol Dolly's Pink Cadillac album is the same kinda cheesy shit. I love me some country and I love the hell out of this song lol but I do get where it doesn't sound country... because it's not Garth or George.
I am 64 and have lived through several evolutions of country music. I have seen the young talents bringing the lyrics and style of their generation to country. Country music today is undergoing another evolution. I think it's great that they can bring their experiences and talent to country. I love it.
Cody Jinks "Somewhere in the middle". He's one of the best country artists out there. A sure fire way to know that...he gets no radio play!
He is amazing
I'd love to see them react to Cody Jinks definitely one of the up and comers
Check out George Strait - Amarillo by Morning, Ocean Front Property, and Carried Away.
Anything by King George!!!!
Carried Away.!!! and Run.
Don't for Run. Definitely one of my one of my favorite George Strait songs.
Sorry fellas Sam is not county. It kinda sucks. This is what has hijacked the country music airwaves. .....
Play Jamie Johnson
K Freeze check out am country heaven by Jason eady
@@scottbell5822 LOL
Agree this is shit
Lmao okay dude and that's why he has written numerous songs for your "real country" artist. This is what modern contemporary country music is. You don't like it? Well piss off then
For reals.
You know the fake country artists Luke Combs was talking about in "can I get an outlaw?" That's Sam Hunt.
Please do The Chair by George Strait. It's my late Father's favorite song and I think, based off your reaction here, you would love it. I can't put into words how much I appreciate your channel, thank you for everything you guys do. Keep up the amazing work.
The Judd's - Grandpa
YESSSS YES AND YES!!!!!! I would love to see them react to anything from The Judd's!!!
Yes!
❤️ Judd's
Love can build a bridge...
Zac Brown Band- Chicken Fried
Yeah u picked the most pop 'country' artist
Try Josh Turners, "would u go with me"
David Wallace yes! Josh Turners voice is as country as it gets lol
Or Long Black Train
Your man (Written by guess who? Chris Stapleton!
Jacksonville
All good songs.
@@aydrayyyy not really but i do like his voice
Darius Rucker- wagon wheel
Garth Brooks- the dance
@Lyle Actually Bob Dylan had an unfinished song called "Rock me, mama" that was finished by a member of the old crow medicine show who then released the song song "co-written" by Bob Dylan and split the royalties. Then Darius made it a cross over hit by releasing his version, which in my opinion (and obviously many other people's as well) is very good, but you are entitled to your opinion.
christina mckee both great songs!
Wagon Wheel is a good song or Homegrown Honey by Darius Rucker
🤦🏻♀️ haven’t we all heard enough of wagon wheel. It’s a decent cover it’s watered down don’t care to see anyone’s reaction. If anything old crow medicine show video reaction.
Just a few recommendations for classic country story telling I would say listen to Fancy - Reba McEntire, Coward of the County - Kenny Rogers, God's Will - Martina McBride, Alyssa Lies -Jason Michael Carrol, I'll Walk - Bucky Covington, and a slew of others that I can't think of at the moment. Always enjoy your reactions and have stumbled across new musical genres I likely wouldn't have listened to had it not been for y'all. Love from Texas ❤️
Also Where were you when the world stopped turning - Alan Jackson is very much and emotionally driven song that would be great to see y'all listen to.
Hank Williams Jr Country Boy Can Survive
Do that good ole Alan Jackson “Here in the Real World.”
Tyler Wright one of my favorites
The day I feared for this channel has finally come. They're starting to get...........................
MAINSTREAM COUNTRY SUGGESTIONS! *screams of terror*
SBluvr99 hahaha still good to hear their unbiased thoughts. I love good classic country but the pop stuff is fun.
Champion by Carrie Underwood ft Ludicris.
This song is fire! Carrie and Ludacris nailed it!!
“That’s for you, ladies!” Don’t put that shit on me, George
For some good Country Rock. Check out Copperhead Road by Steve Earle.
Amen, brother! They should listen to a LOT of Steve Earle.
Hell yeah. Love that song. Not big on rock music, but I do like that song from Steve Earle.
(Although I do like Creatures of habit by Lawless Hearts. After all, the manager at my previous job was the mother of one of the band’s members.)
Yes!!
Steve Earle considers himself a Folk-rock singer who did a few songs County music fans are drawn to. He himself says he's more of a "Coffeehouse Cowboy like Jim Croce"...
Nope. Not country. But he is pretty so we let him play in our yard. :)
lol!
He needs to get off our yard
Lmao. Ill put a fence up in my yard. So he don't bother you boys ;)
Well thank you very much ma’am
@@tstat121 my pleasure.
Do Luke combs!
Yes lukes the man
King Beck either Hurricane or When it rains it pours.
@@caerlaverockjaguar3826 yeah I agree
Country people love this song!!!!!!! His music is part of what country is becoming now. Sam Hunt has had several no 1 hits.
"Something to be proud of" by Montgomery Gentry is a great song
Y'all, I guaran-damn-tee this isnt a top request but please review Sammy Kershaw's queen of my double wide trailer. SPOILER ALERT: It is country 😂😂😂 just please review it. My birthday is this year and it would mean a lot to me
"my birthday is this year" 😂😂 Sammy grew up in Kaplan, Louisiana and my mom used to babysit him and his brother Doug.
No lie, I NEED to see their reaction to this song 😂 it’s my favorite guilty pleasure song
That’s such a damn good song lol, the chorus is addicting
I love this song
Queen of my double wide trailer and John Deer Green are some of my favorite light hearted & fun country songs. I have requested this song a few times from them because I think the reaction would be worth watching 😂
Great reaction gentlemen!! Check out Don't close your eyes by Keith Whitley. True Country ✊✊
Anything keith whitley! I love his version of I never go around mirrors.. Keith was the best.
Mike Davis great pick!!!!
@@jessicamay3616 such a great song!!
George strait- The Fireman (that’s a real hit man song)
Absolutely!!
They would love it
Jason Aldean- Dirt Road Anthem. How on earth has this not been covered yet? It’s made for your channel.
Brently Gilbert made Jason Aldean. Without his writing Jason has lost his edge.
You guys should react to Chris Janson Drunk Girl. Love the videos!
Cody Jinks- Hippies and Cowboys
Or George Strait- Ocean Front Property
The reason we dont like this music is that basically it feels like our genre, country is being stolen from us. Yes this would be a great song to hear on pop radio. It's a good pop song. But the fact that its claimed as country and is played on country radio is what bothers us True Country fans. This kind of music takes a spot on the radio from good country artists with talent. So it is not that this music cant be good. it's that this is what is called country now even though it's clearly not.
Jason Isbell definitely needs more credit
Agree. Sam Hunt sucks.
Travis Adams literally.
Hey I'm trying to figure out what examples of True Country are available today so I can experience the heart of the genre. Could you provide me with examples of contemporary artists that are on the radio that exemplify the spirit of True Country that you are describing?
Hey Jay, All country music is available but some good examples are anything by Chris Stapleton, Midland, The Dead South, Garth Brooks, Darius Rucker, Kacey Musgraves
Yep... it’s NOT country. It IS pop. With that said, it should be easy to understand why it’s popular. But, this is NOT country.
My favorite song of all time is “The Chair” by George Strait!
Also a “pickup” song lol
Tennessee where I live claims this song and its pretty much all country and 80s rock here. We love Sam Hunt. Body like a backroad. Please react to it. Please!
Hands down the funniest video y'all have uploaded. I literally spit my drink out at 6:14. The entire last minute was hilarious as well keep it up
As a country fan this is not country...but it is a good song. I listen to it.
Walkin' After Midnight - Patsy Cline
Ryan calling him the "hit man" cracked me up! He's a decent writer but a lot of other acts play the stuff he writes. When you are in the mood for radio country, he's a good listen but he's NOT real country.
Please, please, please react to Chris Young's Drinking Me Lonely!
Sam Hunt is not country music. He actually has a great voice that's wasted on bubble gum pop country. These songs are what studio's want to sell and artist sell out their talent for record sales.
Listen to his cover of This Land is Your Land for the Bright soundtrack if you want to know what he can actually sound like if he took his integrity back and made music from his heart and not for his studio's bank account.
Go watch the movie "a star is born" this happens to good singers every day. get over it.
tolynley get em!!! Lol
Alyssa Lies - Jason Michael Carroll
I know you guys just did a country song, but this song will really move you guys..
I can't listen to that song without crying. I like his song Tears also and it will get you in feels just like Concrete Angels by Martina McBride
Don't listen to this song unless you wanna cry on camera.
Hell ya
YES!
Just reading the title brought tears to my eyes. That song touches a lot of people.
New country... this is why I stopped listening to country like 10 yrs ago. It's almost like its ashamed to be country so it just turned itself into pop but like pop from 5 years ago and with a twang. It's feels like music by committee. 90s and early 00's were pretty darn good. The whole classic revival thing and even the poppy stuff was great (read Garth Brooks). Really would like to see some Randy Travis or some Allen Jackson but hey, I'm just a random UA-cam comment.
There is real new country being made. Check out cody jinks, sturgill simpson, tyler childers. They're bringing it back.
@@rockymountainraised1455 I dont doubt that in the slightest. Unfortunately the only country station left where I live plays popular country almost exclusively with the occasional throwback songs. I'm also too lazy to look up alternatives but I'll give those guys a listen. Thanks
Same problem I have where I live, there are at least 5 or 6 "country stations but they all just play this pop country trash
+Rocky Mountain Raised Lost in Vegas is well aware of that, they've reacted to Sturgill Simpson and Tyler Childers both before. In fact this is really the first crappy "bro" country song they've reacted to. :)
@@trevorsmith1011 they said as much in the video. We are complaining because we are old and bored. Well I'm not that old but we definitely sound like it with the "better in my day" stuff. Hell, I like some pop music but it doesn't really work for country to me. Too soulless
Please react to Brad paisley ft. Dolly Parton When I Get Where I'm Going. Please
support the blue #bluelivesmatter I was at Buck Owens funeral.......Brad Paisley, Dwight Yokem, Garth Brooks, Trace Adkins..........all performed, all great, but Brad Paisley left the congregation breathless and in tears.
Jon pardi- She ain’t in it
You guys are always a riot!! Always a good time with ya'll.
Cody Jinks-David
Cody Jinks-Cast No Stones
Ryan Bingham-Hallelujah
Solid recommendations! “David” is one of those songs that just paints an image in your brain. Every time I play it it’s like I’m watching a movie in my head as the song plays out. I’m not sure they’re ready for Bingham yet. He can be stark and dark and can take multiple listens to get into. You’re suggestion is one of his best though!
@@Motorep146 Yea I feel you. Bingham has so many good ones they could review. Mescalito would be the least dark album for them to dabble in.
Patsy Cline, "Walkin' After Midnight" or "Crazy". You'll get little argument about either song being representative of a classic country song. Crazy has a double whammy, having been written by, Willie Nelson.
I'd love for you guys to hear Wrecking Ball by Eric Church.
Not my favorite song but I do think you'll dig it 😁
Believe by Brooks and Dunn if you really want to feel a song.
Both of these! Wrecking ball! Baby making music! Haha! Believe will make you cry!
Yes!!
Finally someone else noticed the real meaning behind these lyrics!!!!! I caught it the first time I heard it and couldn’t believe women everywhere thought it was a sweet/love song. I also do like Sam Hunt’s music. But I found this song entertaining.
I was born and raised North of the Mason-Dixon. I grew up listening to country. My grandfather played in CW and bluegrass bands. Country can be played, in it's natural form, without electricity. It also must have a banjo and a fiddle. I know country, moonshine, and backyard jams.
Sam hunt is awful lol. You guys should check out Simple Man by Lynyrd Skynyrd. If you grew up in the south, you knew all the words to that song by the time you could talk haha
AND BE A SIMPLEEEEEEEEEEE
Your just not American if you don't know the lyrics to Simple Man. Or my other favorite Harvest Moon by Neil Young (not country but classic)
It's not just a southern song... very popular here in Utah.
I agree, popular all over US, but yeah they should listen to it
Not everyone likes "real country". Did you ever think that this is a way to get non country lovers to get more interested in country?
Jason Isbell "White Man's World"
You've done two sad Isbell songs. Try an angry one.
Craig morgan- this ain't nothing
Or the one who wrote it, Jamey Johnson, even better.
Live that song and video
Whatever category, I love everything Sam Hunt has done. Thanks for picking/reviewing him. Love you guys. Recommend:
COPPERHEAD ROAD - Steve Earle
THIS AIN'T NOTHING - Craig Moran
I am laughing so hard...keep it up
EM said y’all ain’t reviewing no more of his shit LMAO
Once you guys hear some Keith Whitley, you’ll be full fledged country fans
"Don't close your eyes" gives me chill bumps every time I hear it! Or Lorrie Morgan's "If you came back from heaven" about Keith!!
Heck ya
Yassss
I honestly think Ryan already is lol watching him react to Cash and Allison Kraus and Brooks and Dunn... dude definitely has an appreciation.
Happened today
He was born to die by CURTIS GRIMES........ I'm not the devil by CODY JINKS now that is COUNTRY MUSIC
Please stay as far away from this as you can.
good ol' south carolinian here, believe it or not from what I've seen mostly everyone approves of this guy here. Of course the 50+ year olds aren't the biggest fans and it's much bigger with the younger generation but every one of my family members just about like this guy
but this is one of his worst songs, not a big fan of the talking
I saw the name of this reaction video and I was like GUYS! Sam Hunt is not Country lol. Glad y’all agreed! 😄
Please react to Sultans of Swing by Dire Straits
Pop country. I almost didn't click.
Have u done any BOB SEGER ? Turn the page
Night moves!!!, Even the losers, against the wind, we've got tonight, Hollywood nights, fire lake, fire down below, like a rock...
Love the reactions to this video haha. Very funny and on point. Good job guys
I love it! I love country music and many people say that the music coming out of Nashville now is not real country music. It's really not but so what, I like it.
Mumford and sons
This is why I don't listen to Country radio anymore.. murder on music row.
You two are hilarious. 😂
This is that new "country" they shove it down our throats playing it on the radio a thousand times
Sam Hunt was our Quarterback at UAB (University of Alabama at Birmingham) and would sing all the time in the locker room and take his guitar on roadtrips. Great guy and representative for UAB and great athlete....💚🏈💛
The real question is have you heard of Sam hunts brother mike?
Blahahahahaha
Listen to Luke combs
I don't know if you guys are still doing rock reacts, but I recently discovered Disturbed's cover of The Sound of Silence by Simon and Garfunkel, and holy wow is it absolutely amazing. I would love to see your reactions.
I didn't know that Simon & Garfunkel was considered "rock"?!?? By the way, their rendition of of "Bridge Over Troubled Waters" could bring even the most manly of men to their knees! It may be the most beautiful song I have ever heard in my entire 38 years of life!! And I agree with you - "The Sound Of Silence" was flat out AMAZING.
Kelley Broussard Mackaig S&G aren't rock, a metal band named Disturbed did a cover of The Sound of Silence. Sorry, my wording wasn't good.
It’s more R&B than Country, but if you listen to his interviews, that’s what he always f***ed with. He might not be the next Bobby Caldwell, but he still get a plate at the cookout.
When you were saying the chorus sounds familiar it’s because it has the same melody as I don’t want to miss a thing - Aerosmith
Darius Rucker- wagon wheel or some earlier Darius Rucker songs
I love old crow medicine show's wagon wheel as well. Dude's voice is weird in the best way.
Wagon Wheel isn't a Darius Rucker song. He did a bad cover of an Old Crow Medicine Show song.
Anymore Travis tritt do it now
Yessss!!!!!
It has been done!
Love of a woman, tell me I was dreaming, put some drive in your country
Yes do 'anymore' because they haven't done that, or any Travis Tritt sing in fact
@@skylerpeters7351They have done 'Anymore', it's on their Patreon!
Cody jinks-David
Y’all gotta experience some Texas/Red dirt country.
Cody Jinks - loud and heavy
Cody Johnson - never go home again or The only one I know
Aaron Watson - Fence Post or July in Cheyenne
Walt Wilkins - drink the way I used to
Stoney Larue - down in flames
Roger Creager - all for the sake of the song
Brandon Jenkins - taillights in a boomtown
Josh Ward - between an old memory and me
William Clark Green - sympathy
Jason boland - falling with style
Pat green - carry on
Randy Rogers band - kiss me in the dark
Wade Bowen - Saturday night
Whitey Morgan - I ain’t drunk
Anything by Ray Wylie Hubbard
Dale Watson - mamas don’t let your cowboys grow up to be babies
Not even three minutes in and I'm dead asf.
He's definitely not what I grew up knowing as "country," or even what I listened to that was labeled country when I was in college in the late '80s - early '90s. However, anyone who says speaking in a song isn't "country" doesn't know much about the history of country music. There were plenty of songs when I was a kid and earlier that had speaking in them. The difference between then and now is the instrumentation and arrangement.
YES. YES. & YES!!! I'd love to see these two react to some Alabama, Judd's, Merle Haggard,, Juice Newton or Keith Whitley! The country of the 80's / 90's is where it is ALL at! That said, I am seriously loving Chris Stapleton - and even though Sam Hunt doesn't really have that typical country sound - he's still a pretty outstanding artist not to mention is SMOKING hot!
Kelley Broussard Mackaig Oh you're the reason country sucks now. Liking his damn awful music just cause he's good looking. You should be banned from ever listening to the real country artists since your hypocritical female ass is the reason they don't exist anymore. Gtfo.
@@michaeleaton4093 There are plenty of great artists out there. Country as a whole doesn't "suck." Country radio isn't diverse , but that is the same for any genre of music. Radio wasn't designed to be diverse. It was designed to make "hits." I'm not a Sam Hunt fan, but being rude to people who are really isn't accomplishing anything. And I'm guessing you have some other issues going on with the gender comment.
Loretta Lynn & Conway Twitty🙏
Please listen to Chris Stapleton tribute to prince - Nothing compared to you (live video on UA-cam) or Luke Combs - When it rains it pours
Agree with the Luke Combs request
That's a dandy cover by Stapleton! Chris Cornell does an amazing live version he did for Sirius as well. You should check that one out.
Not sure if y'all watched the video or just lyrics, but the actual video is him seeing a girl in an abusive relationship and in the end helps her get away from it.
If that ain’t country, David Allen Coe
red0nkulous28 Noooooooo😂
STOP lol
Alittle to country for anyone on here
Lmfao nope 🙅🏼♀️
