Jennifer they are wonderful trips you are planning I look foward to follow you on these trips, and a new camper van enjoy every minute as I’m sure you will
Hi Michael, Thank you so much, and yes, I am so excited for everything... wonderful that you are coming along ❤️ Lots of love from Germany and enjoy your Sunday
Hi jenni looking forward to your plans to avoid midges dont park close to the lochs especially on warm evenings ❤ looking forward to seeing your new van progress ❤
"Carpe diem" Jenni, what incredible adventures to look forward to! I'm so looking forward to welcoming you to Winchester in a couple of weeks! I love the new van D'Artagnan. Scotland in summertime will be ideal as the temperatures will be cooler. A lot of germans flock here....perhaps they're escaping the oppressive heat of summer.
Exciting travel plans and a new mobile home to look forward to! I've been to Inverness, never saw a midge but then went over to the West coast of Scotland and saw millions of them!!!
Wow your travel plans are SO exciting, I'm a little bit jealous! I've never been to Scotland, although I really want to go. Spending the winter months in the warmer climates of southern France and the Iberian peninsular sounds lovely. I'm sure D'artagnan will be a great little home for you x
I go home to Inverness each September to tend family graves in Tomnahurich and have never seen a midgie then! But if you have a stop over close to lochs then maybe ensure you visit the chemist first! The west coast and the islands - with some fabulous beaches - are a must see. So excited for all of your plans.
Your home is in Inverness?? Oh, wonderful. I am so very excited to visit it. Any cosy Café recommendations or must sees from your side? ❤️ and which beach exactly at the west coast?
@@jenniferk6632 Ha ha - I was born there and christened in the Cathedral but only stayed long enough to go to junior school at RAF Kinloss down the coast. But It's always "home" where all my relatives were. And I go back just once a year now just to check what's what with the graves in the old cemetary (there's been vandalism!). It's buzzing with many cosy cafes as it's very much a tourist City now. Very clean streets and lovely hanging baskets. Lots of little shops and the old Victorian Market has varied local eateries (it's where my auntie and uncle had a handicraft and souvenir shop in the old days). The River Ness runs right through the City with pretty islands and bridges crossing the brooks. So much to see and you'll get pipe and drum bands playing and highland dancing in the Northern Meeting Park in the City Centre when the tourists are there..There's a cafe I always visit at a village called Rosemarkie on the other side of the Moray Firth to Inverness, where you can see Fort George on the opposite bank and watch the dolphins in the Firth!
Oh, wonderful. Are you near Winchester? Somehow I thought, you would be more in the south east... Will be there in 2 weeks... write me on Instagram, we can exchange plans more easily on there 😀
@@jenniferk6632 Winchester city centre is 10 minute drive from my house. We are such a small country, everything is near, I grew up in Winchester, & Stockbridge is only 20 minutes from me. 👍
Hi Jenny, You have some very exciting travel plans, I’m getting excited for you.😂 One of my nephews lives in Southend, he as just moved there as he works in London but doesn’t want to live in London. So he commutes. Brighton it as been a long time since i visited Brighton, think we only stayed a few days. But I’m sure you will find some lovely places to show us. Scotland is beautiful, you will absolutely love the west side. Some of the scenery is amazing. It’s so beautiful, sorry I can’t tell you if there is a lot of midges. But I think that’s a lot to with the how humid the weather is. London as never been one of my places, I have never liked it. I would have to go through work, tbh I never liked the people always to busy in London itself. But I’m sure as a visitor you will have a great time seeing all the attractions. My hubby worked at M.O.D for a while, he did like going for lunch in Covent Garden’s and really liked the old book shops . Wow Japan that will be a fantastic experience, their culture and way of life will certainly be a wonderful experience. Some of their architecture looks amazing, so happy you’re going with your daughter. It will be amazing, I really do think travelling broadens your horizons, it is wonderful if you are able to do so. Looking forward to travelling along with you on your wonderful adventures. D’Artagnon will be great for your travelling around Spain and France, just want you will need. Thank you Jenny for all this wonderful information. Take care and love to you and your lovely family.💕xx
Ahh... a Letter from Debbie surely is a wonderful way to start a sunday morning... I have booked a hotel in Notting Hill for 2 nights and intend to take it slow and certainly enjoy the book shops and cafes when I am there. I will probably go to do the touristy parts travelling from Southend to London for one day... Does your nephew like living in Southend? Yes, I hear about the beauty of the west coast but also about the midges there, so I will see if I go there... maybe on a couple of day trips... Thank you so much for writing me, again. I hope, you will have a lovely and enjoyable sunday with your hubby... take care and lots of love from Germany ❤️
Good morning Jenny, I am sat here with Lucy and a nice cup of tea reading your reply. My nephew as only been in Southend a couple of months, but said he what he as seen of it is really nice. We stayed at the Royal Troon Hotel in Scotland, they do the golf open there. The view from our bedroom window was beautiful straight out to sea. It was funny on a morning having breakfast, you would see the golfers walking by and there golf bags following them. I had to look twice when I first saw it, lol They was all remote controlled. Troon is a beautiful place and absolutely spotless, we went in May/June and had no problem with the midges. I think they are more in the woodland areas. My friend Jean absolutely loves Scotland every year they would travel to different parts in the summer, she never complained about the midges. So hopefully you’ll be safe. Have a lovely Sunday with your hubby and family. 💞x
@@debbiehaha1300 ah... I can literally picture everything in my mind 😀 Thanks a lot for the information and the beautiful mental images... cuddles to Lucy and enjoy your tea ❤️
Ooh lots of amazing plans and a new van too - so excited for you! I’m meeting up with a friend from Scotland 🏴 tomorrow for a week’s camp out so I’ll ask her re the temperature and the midges in that part of Scotland and I will get back to you on Instagram. I’ll also message re Brighton as I’m very near to there 😊
Oh wonderful... maybe we can meet up for a chai latte 😀... And thank you for asking your friend... Enjoy your trip. I hope I will see pictures on Instagram ❤️
I can't plan for the next day never mind a year in advance well done 👍 Scotland, I have not long toured Fife in Scotland and never saw any midges. The East side of Scotland is much better than the West side less biters🐜 Going to the North Coast Scotland I would avoid it in summer as it's packed with Motorhomes, Campervans Bikers etc parking will be difficult. I did the NC500 late September/October no midges also less traffic as schools are back early Sept. The new camper looks nice. I think you made a good choice of car and hopefully have lots of happy memories 😊 Stay fit and healthy best wishes! Michel ❤
Thank you, Michael. Well yes, unfortunately, summer vacation is a problem in any country, perhaps except for skandinavia... I will have to try because of the heat, though and maybe I will be lucky because my car is small... Thank you for writing and giving me advice 😀 Enjoy the Sunday in Ireland
Your welcome Jennifer 😊 I remember the heatwave in England 2 years ago it was 31c inside my campervan at midnight phew! 🥵 Yea you just have to go for it and hope for the best! Stay safe ❤️
