So Ruben Amorim is confirmed. He's going to be Manchester United's new manager. What would you choose as the strongest starting XI for the new 3-4-3 system we're about to see implemented?
These players are poor. They are not athletic enough to handle it. But it remains to be seen. I have a funny feeling about the 1st match in charge for Ruben. Curious to see who he will line up
He plays very similar to ten hag. Ten hag's downfall was not being able to play a high line because of a lack of pace with our cb's. Another major factor was our players give the ball away too easily when we are attacking due to poor passing / not being comfortable in tight spaces. You'll never see this from city which is why they do so well. How is he going to sort these problems out?
It's not 3-4-3. It's important to note he has a few formations he uses depending on how he wants them to play. 3-4-2-1 The 2 wide players in the middle are the FBs.
Lots of videos about how Amorim will setup. The most important tactic is in the dressing room. Amorim is similar to ETH in terms of automated systems, high intensity, and hard work. INEOS have sent the players a statement intent that they intend to continue that process, that the players tried to stop or could not get to grips with under ETH. Hopefully they allow Amorim to break that player power, either by turning them into allies and go with the vision or through fear that they will actually be dropped when they fail. Apparently he faced similar issues at Sporting with a toxic culture and player power and managed to turn it around. If this does not happen then all the pictures you draw on the tactics board are just abstract art.
Considering we've seen EtH talking about not bringing his Ajax football to Utd. I'm not taking any of these potential Utd XIs seriously. I'll wait until we see his team in a match. The quality gap is quite big between The Primeira Liga and The Prem, same case as it was for EtH from the Eredivisie to the Prem so I am definitely worried about how he'll try to bridge that gap and translate his system to fit in the Prem.
That was due to ten Hag's stubborn and/or the lack of players to adopt his style when he came. Amorim style favors the players United have, just like Slot's in Liverpool. Or course not the whole 11 but most like 8-9 players
@@Dmaj089 I don't think lack of players was a factor especially when EtH got a lot of former Ajax players/ former Eredivisie players. He decided not to do what brought him to Utd (His style at Ajax) for " The best transition team in the world" stuff and he failed but still stuck with it. He was stubborn but on a different issue.
Pls tell me the sifference witj amorim and eth system! I dont see any change. Its nearly identical. You are so stubborn yourself to see that eth changed tactics 3 times this season. Villa game on our wingers were more inside just like amorim uses. We have has back 3 whole season. When wingbacks go up 3-4-3 changes to 3-2-5 that was wth system. The name "Gyökeres" is Hungarian, and it’s pronounced roughly as "DYU-keh-resh". Here’s a breakdown: Gy sounds like the "dy" in "adieu." ö is a vowel sound similar to the German "ö" or the French "eu" in "bleu." keres is pronounced with a soft "r" and ends in "-esh." In Hungarian, the stress is always on the first syllable, so it would be DYU-keh-resh.
I know this will be an unpopular view, but we've never played Antony on the left despite the fact he's really left-footed. He's tenacious enough to be good left cover in front of Martinez on the left. He's quick, persistent off the ball, and I think it would be worth exploring how he'd play on the left. Certainly something to experiment with against lower teams in the cup competitions.
With how attacking (particularly dribbling) Amorim likes his wide players to be, I think you're more likely to see Garnacho, Antony, and even Amad on the wings rather than someone like Mazraoui. I could see Mazraoui get more game time as the right centre back.
we all loved and wanted ETH's Ajax style and all excited to have him, remember when he punished the players after 0 4 defeat against Brenford? all positivity but then all the pressure sank him, Amorim is still very young coach, i just hope he could turn things around a little bit this season, not any high hope at all
Damn you've been busy today earning your coin! Keep up the awesome work. I'm excited to see United play 3 at the back. I do think Zirkzee could thrive playing just behind the central striker. Yoro, Martinez, De Ligt and even Maguire could all do well in a 3. As to who plays where, that'll be interesting to see. Especially with channel defending requirements. The wingback positions are screaming for United to buy back Alvaro in January for the LWB. Ugarte and Mainoo should be fine in the pair. I do think this spells the beginning of the end for Eriksen, Casemiro and possibly Antony. I do wonder where Rashford and Garnacho fit in? I'm not sure I'd pick both over Bruno, so that's 4 or 5 if you include Amad, to play in 2 positions?! Someone will leave in summer.
I have to say im impressed of this fanbase. Houndreds .. even thousands of fans wanted and semanded amorim so they must watch lot of portugese football. Also its funny how so many says hes style is so different than eths. Yo.. its almost identical.. and thats good
No one knows anything until we see how Amorin set's up and who he thinks players wise, fit's his system whatever it might be until he's been at MUFC for a month or two.
pretty sure garnacho will be playing wingback mostly tbh. he's the only winger we got that prefers keeping width. amorim uses those types at wingback. quenda the 17 year old is a highly touted forward but plays the wingback. amad, mount, bruno and rashford will thrive playing on the inside in that narrow front 3. if amorim goes with his current system. my biggest concern is actually the double pivot. they have to be great in transitions, mainoo struggles in defensive transitions and casemiro ain't getting younger, morita and hjulmand are more similar to ugarte and casemiro, the 2 main cogs. also amorim often use a fullback as the wide cb, malacia, shaw, dalot are great fits for it, they all done it before as well
@@stainypoo I think whatever side Mainoo is on he would compensate for him by having the wingback on his side be more defensive of minded but this system helps Mainoo bring the ball forward better
What I want from Amorim is simple, play the best players in the squad for the positions they are best at, and if that player, is playing crap, whether it be, Bruno, or Dalot, will he drop them, because they are Portuguese? Ten Hag didn't drop Bruno, even when he was playing crap, and never played Ugarte, against West Ham, even though Ugarte was brilliant against Fenerbahce, will Ugarte get more minutes under Amorim? Let's hope so. And let's hope the team can adjust to Amorim's 3-4-3 formation too. Time to start winning again.
This is a re-build. Give it time, the players mentioned in this video, won't even be here next season. So what we have to do first is give this guy TIME. And trust in the process. Let him get his staff in, let him get his players who fits each place on the field in. And let's talk about titles / europe in 2-3 years time. This guy is young, and he's for the future
The players here will be here next season. He has more than enough good players at his disposal. Half of them have only been here a year maximum. This is football and you constantly rebuild, which is what all good teams do, trusting the process is just something that losing teams say. If Amorim doesn’t produce results then he goes and someone else steps in.
Youre giving Rashford too much credit. The guy has no idea how to move off the ball. Stands out wide and demands ball to feet. One of our most brain dead players.
A thought I had regarding the wingback depth is: what if one of them is a winger? Out of possession, the wingback will have to run back, but the formation would be a 4231, which might be more familiar for the squad as a whole given that’s what we’ve played for a bit. Probably not a long term solution, but could save our defensive depth while we acquire the right players we want for this formation
The most important thing I'm looking forward from Ruben is if he is daring to kick out deadwood like Shaw, Lindelof and Rashford. If he does that then he genuinely becomes the best post fergie manager according to me.
I can see the flexibility in the current squad working in that system, Rashord would work as the 9 nine running behind or even channels for quick transiition against a team with a high line for example
I like the system overall, I've wanted Utd to use a back 3 for years. There's just something brilliant about freeing up attacking bias full-backs with the extra cover they get from a third centre-back. This system takes it a step further with 2 holding midfielders. Wing-backs mostly providing the width, so the modern high scoring inverted wingers come much more narrow. Interesting to see Garnacho in this new role. I also think that if he gets games, this might help Antony recoup a little value.
Maybe until we get a lwb Garnacho can play there as he will have the defensive cover and he has the willingness to run up and down the wing and to help out defensively
I believe every coach has their idea but still falls on the quality of players physically and mentally especially. Players need to put their heart and soul in the system and motivates each other to whoever is playing in the first eleven. Period! GGMU
Mount fits in system also, as one of the 2 ten positions. Rashford can play there also, an inside forward, Amad also, then Erickson also. But for Garnacho, I really think the left wing back position is best for him.
For me it's number one that he's able to communicate his tactics to the players in a clear and simple manner. I had the feeling they didn't understand what ETH was trying to get them to do. He also has to adapt to our players, at least this season - who of them can press, who can play in a high line (Yoro seems to be the only one who has recovery pace)
Hi sam really looking forward to this appointment with amorin givening time hes going to do really good just hope some of are fan base dont turn on him when theres ups and downs stick by are manger and players and club threw thick united united love united ❤️ hate glazers
i do believe we have good decent players. and being the consumate professional football players they are, they should be able to conform quickly into whatever system the new manager brings. all they need is a breath of fresh air (we all do).cause the air was stale for so long. Ruud and Rene will play a significant part in speaking to Amorim about the current squad condition. I expect several rotations in the first few games to identify Amorim's best eleven. exciting days ahead!
I think Amass will quickly take that wingback spot Amorim has been more than glad to play 17 year old Quenda and I can't see why he wouldn't provide Amass with that same opportunity until January when we can assess our options
The thing that excites me is how easily the youth COULD be integrated. Chido is the perfect striker for this system, amass would be a great left wing back, kukonki would be the perfect martinez replacement, shea lacey would love that inside forward postion. So many posibilities.
I think picking the right combinations of the front 3 is going to be the most difficult thing. I really hope he gets it right and we see United scoring goals again
Except for backing ETH over the summer and wasting money on more Ajax players only to sack him 2 months into the season. Of course INEOS were busy with the America's Cup so they probably just wanted to keep it going until now.
Unpopular opinion, but I would convert Antony into a LWB, play Mount as LCF and move Mazroui to RWB. All of those changes would provide a team that is actively looking to pass and move. Garnacho/Rashford/Amad can be impact subs when the opposition get tired. If Antony doesn't work at LWB, we should just promote Harry Amass to play it since he will have less defensive duties than playing a traditional LB role.
Hello 👋🏽 Sam we needed Change in the System, can't w8v2 see wing play Absolutely missed it Rasmus will now be feed the ball ⚽️ Runs into the box and Plenty of Crosses I'm excited but I'll w8 and see 👀
This is exactly why I didn’t want a new manager….. the first thing we do is start talking about more fing transfers…. FFS!!!! This is exactly what is wrong with this squad. It’s been put together by 4 different managers….. it’s a never ending doom cycle
I can see Lindelöf becoming a great player for us in this system. I think Amass might be class and come into the team consistently. And this actually gives us a way to play Bruno and Mount together
I think he can do ok with the current squad. As of right now, I predict we'd only really NEED a LWB & a CB in the summer. Player-wise, we look ok in midfield & forward positions
United PeoplesTV, I would like to inquire if you are the same individual who consistently supported Erik ten Hag's decisions, including his management of Cristiano Ronaldo and Jadon Sancho, both of which had negative outcomes for the club. It seems that ongoing support for the manager, despite these challenges, has contributed to our current standing in the league.
My Guess is Garnacho will play the "frimpong Wingback role" on the right with Dalot as LWB. If Bruno is going to play the right interior/inside 10; then Garnacho will take up the space ahead with bruno will start roaming in phase 2 or phase 3 of play. it gives more balance to the system and reduces garnachos dumb decision making in the final third by keeping him wider than he's traditionally been stationed under ETH's system as inside forward/winger
Proper fitness needed for the wingbacks, think mazrouri would be better suited to a RCB, so we need two LWB and one RWB with Shaw making himself an option at LWB and probably play LCB more, my guess.
Am I the only one who feels this is a little scummy? Yes, Ten Hag was underperforming. Yes, things weren't great. No one can question he deserved to leave, but like this? Man took a battering from the media, and kept his head throughout it. He remained professional, mature and tried to represent and defend the club throughout. Never slagged off the owners. Never insulted the fans. I feel like perhaps doing it during an international break and letting the dust settle for a week would have been classier. I like the appointment of Amiron, no matter how much I liked Ten Hag. But I think this whole 'in and out in 48 hours' reeks of Chelsea, not United.
We never go wrong with sporting, CR7, Nani, Bruno and hopefully the good records sustained with Amorim, and I now understand why INEOS got Ugarte at all cost, they signed him for Amorim not for Ten Hag, and it clearly explains why Ten Hag don’t like playing him, which is a big slap in INEOS’ face, and INEOS knew what they are doing and act nicely.
Sporting CP fan here. Amorim will rule out anyone who is not aligned with the values he wants to implement and not fully committed to work hard. He completely raised SCP from the ashes, built a bulletproof locker room and I’m sure he will be able to rebuild United as well. I dare to say, not even in 20 years, I have seen Sporting CP with so much stability. But Amorim needs to be involved in the process of picking the right players for his system. I think he will be an excellent fit for United, he already knows Ugarte, Bruno, Dalot… will probably bring some SCP players later on. Gyokeres, Hjulmand, Gonçalo Inácio… His priority is always the collective over a couple prima donnas who will end ruining the team spirit. He likes smart, humble and hard working players. Amorim has been a “breath of fresh air” in Portuguese football. Everyone is commenting how they will miss his press conferences. Life goes on… as sad as it is to see him leave before the end of the season, we are also extremely grateful and wish him the best for his career. Amorim is a special one.
Mazraoui would be my biggest concern in that line-up, he doesn't have the pace nor the athleticism to play as a wing-back. Also Garnacho is at his best when playing on the wings where he gets the ball and has the space to run at his fullback. Those positions need someone silky like Amad, Mazraoui or Bruno and Garnacho doesn't fit the bill there. Maybe Rashford can play there because even though his best position is on the left wing, he's actually very good at ghosting between players, he can play in tight spaces.
I feel it would be a good idea to sign Estupin̈an from Leverkusen. Not extremely expensive, progressive and fit for athleticism. Can play as a defender on the left and could work as a left full back too.
Solskjaer, Rangnick, Van Gaal, Mourinho, Giggs, Moyes, Ten Hag. The best managers on the planet before they joined ManUtd. They all failed. Amorim will just become the next one who's going to bite the dust. After 9 managers in 11 years perhaps somone ought to realise that MU's problem just might not be the manager.....
Liverpool sacked Rogers and signed Klopp in October 2015. Arne Slot (yes, it is early to judge) is doing great at Liverpool and has similar credentials to ETH and Ruben. With Amorim, I feel he does have the personality of what Utd need in a manager.
Sign a left back in Jan, unless they think Amass can step up. Looks good on paper at least, I hope he starts with it and doesn’t try to accommodate the players too much by sticking with a back 4.
Let's see how he will do. Although similarly to EtH, I hope he succeeds, but I'm not going to get too excited. Let's not forget Sporting drew against PSV last week. Not particularly great considering the PL has you up against the likes of City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal which are all far better squads than PSV
I don't know why people rate Dalot. This is not because of the goal he missed, but his errors defensively. He's nowhere near the RB of teams ahead of United. I know he plays LB now but he is not who we need
players united need to keep an eye on to bring in january: jonathan davids, gyrokes, goncalves, trincao, dumfries, frimpong, st.juste, renato sanches, kokcü,florentino, nico williams from spain
Let me tell you who would really thrive in this system Luke shaw when he comes back and plays left center back He would be miles above any other lcb in the pl
United are a few depth pieces away from being able to run Amorims system to perfection. GK Onana., Bayindir RWB Mazraoui, Diallo RCB Yoro, Dalot CB De Ligt, Maguire LCB Gonçalo Inácio,Martinez, Shaw LWB Garnacho, Alvaro Fernandez CM(6) Ugarte, Daniel Boloca CM8(8) Mainoo, Angel Gomes RCAM: Rashford, Antony LCAM: Fernandes, Mount FWD Hojlund, Zirkzee Signings LCB: Gonçalo Inácio £50m LWB: Alvaro Fernandez £15m buy back clause CM(6) Daniel Boloca£20m CM(8) Angel Gomes Free in summer

Please can you help me with the volume? The voice is sometimes down or low, I bearly hear you Sam. Thank you, keep delivering for us
Push the up button ✌️
We need someone like Valencia now.. he was a workhorse ❤
Hopefully the 3 at the back system should work.
Was waiting for this
Amad and Zirkzee have really high potential, hopefully Amorim can assist them instead of bin them off.
I think Amass will quickly take that wingback spot Amorim has been more than glad to play 17 year old Quenda and I can't see why he wouldn't provide Amass with that same opportunity until January when we can assess our options
More likely he'll buyback Carreras from Benfica.
@@A_n_y_t_i_m_e Yeah can see that happening as well with how cheap the buy back is
Idk how much money united has, but hopefully we get 1 or 2 players this winter
Seriously need a left footed SB/WB under amorim's system
Maino/bruno and ugarte in the mid would be good in this system
Zirkzee should be competing with Bruno for the 10.
We will av to wait n see
I believe Ineos planed this in summer because look at the signings we did in summer, Ugarte, Yoro, De Light and Zirkzee all build for this system.
Great work from INEOS! Great work from Sam 👏🏽👏🏽 I believe we trully are building a new era for the club here
Lol...in ur dreams...🤣
2 matches in we are all gonne be shitting on this guy as well.
Except for backing ETH over the summer and wasting money on more Ajax players only to sack him 2 months into the season. Of course INEOS were busy with the America's Cup so they probably just wanted to keep it going until now.
Jao felix would be the best signing in the garnacho position
Have INEOS had this as the game model the whole time, looking at the summer signings
So excited with Amorim coming
Waiting for this 🤙
Amazing ❤❤
😊
I’ve been saying for ages we should play 3/5 at the back. As well as brooding the player that contributes to our imbalance the most, Bruno.
Thank you for your videos! They are always so high quality and interesting. I can see that you are professionals.🌃😸🍭
I think he can do ok with the current squad. As of right now, I predict we'd only really NEED a LWB & a CB in the summer. Player-wise, we look ok in midfield & forward positions
Who's scoring the goals ? 😂
Need a destroyer midfielder or two. Box to box offensive threat.
@@aubreymokgotle259 If coached right, Hojlund, Zirkzee, Rashford, Bruno, Garnacho, Amad & Mount can all be contributing goals.
@@robertnegron9706 Ugarte is the destroyer. Mainoo can play box to box
@ mainoo ? Box to box ? I beg to differ. The kid is ok. But no road runner.
After watching Sporting last night i'm excited to see a new look United
Sam u are so proactive
LvG tried to play with 3ATB and got destroyed so it will not be the 1st time we see United trying this system. Lets hope he is better
Jones, Smalling and Blind vs Yoro, De Ligt and Martinez, I wonder who's better 🤔
Yes, those were some grim times.
He won't last and the fans will turn on him like they always do. PS I follow United
Maguire would suit this. And when he's good, he's unbeatable in the air, so handy to have on the pitch for defensive set pieces.
still not convinced
but I was so convinced that EtH was the right man to knock pep and klopp off their patch
soo.....
He was, but these fools couldn't see past the trees.
You have a way of saying things in a way that gives me hope lol
We are kind of getting the Portuguese Nagelsmann
Solskjaer, Rangnick, Van Gaal, Mourinho, Giggs, Moyes, Ten Hag. The best managers on the planet before they joined ManUtd. They all failed. Amorim will just become the next one who's going to bite the dust. After 9 managers in 11 years perhaps somone ought to realise that MU's problem just might not be the manager.....
I love your picture frames, can you please tell me where I can get those?
These guys on UA-cam playing coach..it's just fun😅😅
maguire will be good for 3 at the back
Didn't we do a couple of 3 at the back games with Ole when he started getting desperate? Or am I remembering wrong?
for next season we need goncalo inacio as left center back and alphonzo davies at wing back left
Only problem is that our forwards can’t find the back of the net for love nor money.
Anthony can as well cover the rwb too his defensive work mks him suitable
Let's see how he will do. Although similarly to EtH, I hope he succeeds, but I'm not going to get too excited. Let's not forget Sporting drew against PSV last week. Not particularly great considering the PL has you up against the likes of City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal which are all far better squads than PSV
Let's wait and see.
We should have got Stuttgart manager Sebastian the dude who finish above Bayarn last season he is a way better manager then Amorin! ☑️
I don't know why people rate Dalot. This is not because of the goal he missed, but his errors defensively. He's nowhere near the RB of teams ahead of United. I know he plays LB now but he is not who we need
players united need to keep an eye on to bring in january:
jonathan davids, gyrokes, goncalves, trincao, dumfries, frimpong, st.juste, renato sanches, kokcü,florentino, nico williams from spain
Talking about signing 4 5 players already 😂😂 here we go again 😂
Yessss welcome to Old Trafford Ruben amorim 🤔 and good luck.... Come on Manchester United⚽️🏆⚽️🏆⚽️🏆⚽️🫡
Let me tell you who would really thrive in this system
Luke shaw when he comes back and plays left center back
He would be miles above any other lcb in the pl
