Been looking for days for a way to control things from a computer or cell. Most tutorials just loaded whatever feature, ran a sample and called it a day. Thanks for going in detail!
As many people have, I spent hours trying to sort this out. Found this video, and now I can control a LED on my Pi. Thank you very much for recording the steps to achieve this. I wouldn’t have got there so soon without your help 😀
Very precise explanation, the best thing I enjoyed about your video was that : you introduced to Node Red in a simple way, then you also highlighted the important aspects of NR and then you also presented a workable example. People may have knowledge but presentation is an art that creates a different impression in people's mind.Thankyou for the video.
I need to tell you, Your tutorial is so simple and easy to follow. Straight to point, good introduction too. Thank you. Although i will also like to know how to pass string from web to a varible on the raspberry for further processing. I am about going through all your post now ,hopefully i may get some answer. You are a very goo teacher
Thanks for sharing such an Awesome project. Can I use Raspberry pi Zero instead of Raspberry pi 3B. Please confirm, awaiting your earliest response. Kind regards.
Not that I know of, the Javasript basically is the website code. Advantage is that you are independent of the platform, I mean it EVEN works with Apple!! ;-)
I have problem with control led use android.. because node red on my android and raspberrypi have a different server/ip.. how to make same server at my raspberry pi node red and my android node red ?
The project as described only works if the Raspberry Pi is on the same Network. If you want to make the LED server elsewhere you need to make changes in your WiFi Router, like "port forwarding".
you need to know the ip adress fo the raspberry pi and type that in a browser of your phone or laptop which is connected to the same WiFi as the Raspberry Pi. To get it type: hostname -I in a command box in the PI
@@smartpowerelectronics8779 Alright thanks, I have used esp32 on my windows machine not Raspberry Pi, hence the struggle, do you know which steps I should follow?
I got stuck after a few tries because my manage pallet was not showing up (it was in the "server is now running on xxx.xxx.xx.x" i.p. though. I ran this "bash
iPhones are notorious for incompatibility (that is why the are stable, evne not compatible with most viruses ;-) - it should work, basically it is a website, but it is not "safe" maybe check your safety settings in your iPhone? I tried with IPhone XR and iPad -it is possible

Sir am finding difficult to install node-red-dashboard....it shows as failed
Is there a way to replace the webpage with an android studio mobile application?

Is there an alternative to node-red? one that won't be visual. I don't like visual programming too much
Yes, Node RED actually generates Javascript. Node red is easier for beginners, eventually using Javascript would be more powerful.
I have problem with control led use android.. because node red on my android and raspberrypi have a different server/ip.. how to make same server at my raspberry pi node red and my android node red ?

My dashboard doesn't appear next to the debug tab, is there a reason for that?
Is there a way to password protect this so I can only allow those I want to have access to the node-red program?
ctl + c is a very import short cut sir
How did you connect your android phone?
you need to know the ip adress fo the raspberry pi and type that in a browser of your phone or laptop which is connected to the same WiFi as the Raspberry Pi.
To get it type: hostname -I in a command box in the PI
then to connect type
but the numbers are different for you, you need to find that with hostname -I ..🙂
