Long time fans of my channel will recognize the amazing voice of Niia on this one. Although most of time we cover modern songs in vintage styles, we switched things up this week and updated a 1960s song with a new arrangement.

"Wow" is about the only word that I can think of after being blessed by this beautiful song.

I'm relatively speechless here. I never thought I'd hear a cover of this song, especially to this level of perfection, as it's such a strong association with the movie Girl, Interrupted. What a sad moment, and a sad loss as well.

Normally I don't comment on anything, I just watch. This is truly an exception. This is the best thing I've heard in a long time. Great band, great vocals, well sung and well played. I can't say enough good things. Simply fantastic! Groovy :)

The stereo separation and center stage were perfect, and added a fantastic ethereal feel to this production.

I would love if this specific type of music was mainstream instead of Pop. Who knows? It may become that way in the future...music always changes, and trends never stay the same. Sometime they will end and something will become anew. Let me say again...I would absolutely LOVE if this type of music, this type of calming Jazz, was mainstream today. Man...music would be SO much better.
This kind of comment makes no sense to me. We live in an age where more people than ever have the means to make and spread music of any genre. There are more things to draw inspiration from today than ever. More than ever, we have the means to access whatever type of music is made. Just because _ you _ don't like some person on your local commercial radio station doesn't mean that there aren't great musicians around. The arts are better and more alive now than any time before.
I never said there aren't great musicians around, you're twisting my comment. It's just my opinion that I wish Jazz was mainstream today instead of Pop.
But......if this was "mainstream" then that would mean it is Pop music.
I think that it's better if music like this isn't mainstream, because we can keep it to the people who actually appreciate it, rather than the whole world listening to the same stuff. Frankly, if this stuff was as overplayed as some Pop songs, most people would be sick of it after a while, therefore making it less enjoyable.
but then again, if jazz is being mainstream music it won't make it special, what we should do is to save jazz from disappearing and help people listen to jazz

I keep coming back to this version. Love it. I would like to hear a few more consonances in the vocal Niia, like a "T" on "don't" and a "D" on the word "world". I still give it really high marks because the vocal is so velvety, and the keys are great (Scott), and the bass is perfect, and the drummer keeps good time. The best drummers I have ever played with have had small sets like this Gretch, except one, right Steve?
