Just wish I could go back in time and enjoy Blackpool Pleasure Beach back then, used to love the old attractions, no shoes in the Fun House, riding the Reel, the wooden roller coasters, River caves and many more.
I know. It is obvious that a very keen amateur has gone to so much trouble and expense to film this, and they did it so well. Sadly it is often the case that I can never know who this is, and give a credit. There ought be a statue somewhere to the unknown dad cameraman of the past...because they have given us so much!
I visited Blackpool 25 years after this film was made. The weather was not particularly good, but I enjoyed it. I remember going into the Tower ballroom and seeing that huge Wurlitzer slowly emerge from deep down under the floor and then after a couple of hours dancing time descend into the depths again complete with player.
Thank you remember the many trips as a child on the coach ,and all the people singing on the way home and them making a collection for the driver, loved it as a child a youth and as a grown up ,but now at 73 ,I like Fleetwood,at Anne's and cleevelys these days
Interesting video of Blackpool from many years ago. The Pleasure Beach shows the Casino, Speedboats, the Buck, Airplanes, Ferris Wheel, Noahs Ark, Auto Skooter, Dive Bomber, Roller Coaster, Virginia Reel, Steam Train, Electric Speedway, Kentucky Derby, Can Can, Ducks, Laughing Clowns, The Fun House where footwear must not be worn. There is also the Tower and trams.

What a brilliant film, I was born in '61 but Blackpool has so many fond memories from being a kid and later too!
Loved riding the Grand National and the toast rack trams
I enjoyed watching that. My Grandfather had a souvenir shop there at that time. Thank you.
Brilliant video, brought back so many memories of holidays with my parents in the late 50's.
O yes what a great piece of film marvellous just love it thankyou.
Its fortunate for us viewers, that someone took the time to film this great seaside resort, in its heyday, well I for one, loved it, thank you.

Great nostalgia and collar tie and jacket for leisure wear
g grandparents took me to Blackpool in 1952. I remember those scenes with warmth and nostalgia, so long ago.
I think I know what you mean...but it is still so sad when we can only remember, rather than revisit one more time.
@@maxustaxus Is the world a better place today? Mmmm, I wonder.

Great to see Joseph Emberton's amazing architecture.

All I can say is “ how things have changed!”
I suspect we should have said more...earlier.
Now look at the state of it completely unrecognisable.
Love Blackpool nostalgia and this is at it's best. Oh to wander around the more spacious 1952 Pleasure Beach. Not sure where Brighton comes in though?
Oh, the Brighton thing was just a mistake when writing up. I have change it now.
