    The full comparison article is extremely well written. Well done! I would add, owning the 1090, that putting a gpr exhaust and a performance air filter has made the engine more powerful and responsive. The 790 is the better off road bike, but the 1090 is the better travel and gravel roads bike

    This is great! One "pro" and one "newbie" to adventure bikes. I'm betting a lot of people who get a KTM 790 Adventure is going to be new to the whole thing, and it's great to get the opinion of both novice and expert.

    Yes, you can't go wrong with the KTM Adventure bikes...great review. Top quality stuff. Speaking of KTM Adventure bikes, guys have you seen the you tuber ANNA GRECHISHKINA ? She rides a KTM Adventure 1190 and she has been riding the World non-stop for nearly 7 years and solo! Not only is she BEAUTIFUL, but she has the guts to ride anywhere in the world. Check out her you tube channel. There is an episode where she returns back to KTM Austria after her first trip around the world and they couldn't wait to tear her KTM down to the crank to see how it fared a real world test.

      @@Angry-Lynx It's sand, you're gonna go down at some point. And the whoops in Pine Barrens are gnarly and consecutive. I'm sure a pro rider could handle them on an ADV bike, but Joe average is dealing with a lot of mass and momentum on consecutive hits.

    Great vid! Agree & good point on the 790R clutch, the biggest thing that stands when hopping off a hydraulic clutch. Besides that, the 790R is a beast & more flickable than the 1090, also surprisingly good on street

    • @sritter

      Do you reckon that Camel clutch product might be a good solution for the 790? camel-adv.com/collections/featured-products/products/ktm-790-1-finger-clutch

    • @THEelduderino
      @THEelduderino 4 роки тому

      Roni92pl interesting point, never risen another KTM. My hyd clutch on my Harley’s are so much smother & light, especially on day trips, & they’re like 6” chrome handles. To your point, maybe not the clutch type but a brand thing

    • @THEelduderino
      @THEelduderino 4 роки тому

      Thomas Rosenwirth helps leverage but won’t replicate the pull & feather ability of my hyd clutches of my HD’s, just realizing how smooth they r in comparison which surprises me. Good tip for off-road though, honestly getting used to it so no big deal, it’s the ONLY negative I’ve noticed about the bike(other than pegs but rally was a quick install), it’s pretty impressive in all facets

      790R is definitely more $, no doubt. But, I don’t think it’s debatable that the Tenere is better off-road. The 790R has better WP suspension, more travel, more ride modes & wheel adjustability(rear abs off option, selectable on the fly TC), TFT, & much more HP. There r head to head comparisons if you look around on UA-cam. With that said, the Yamaha performs almost as well & is a great value when u think of the $3K u mentioned

    • @Angry-Lynx
