This is a recap of the best photos and clips of May and June 2022! Back on Monday with a new episode.

These recap videos are great because all of your content is definitely re-watch material!
@@JustRolledIn as I have said to you many of times, I don't know what's worse, customers doing wiring jobs from hell or the fact people are dumb enough to completely fill the engine oil up to the oil cap. But the customers friend who added oil to the coolant needs to stay away from cars in general.

It's a Tesla wheel, they needed to use electrical tape.
What kind of idiot? A retard , that kind

Those air filters with the plastic still on them are why we have warnings on all plastic bags about the suffocation hazard
They need those warnings for suffocating cars too

The tail gate falling open when shutting the door made me outright giggle.
LMAO I straight up had that happen with out 2009 dodge ram work truck. Pissed me right the F off! Especially when it happened in front of a cop as i went of tracks!
When I was a teenager my mother had a car where the windows rolled down every time you closed the door.

I've had same issues. The wiring harness VAG uses for doors gets flaky over time.
@jhutt8002 I honestly don't remember the make. We got it second hand and it came with the quirk. That car was so bad even the crooks didn't want it. We left it one night with the doors unlocked, windows down and keys in the ignition in an effort to get it stolen. No dice lol.
Happens to mine. Its because he has a lower trim and the mechanisms are plastic. Plastic froze and broke in the winter. Gotta close the tailgate oldschool style.

We had that at the garage I done work experience in. It was one of the owners car, turned out the fuel gauge was faulty. Nobody working on it thought to check the petrol until about 2 hours in.
@@delta250a That happened to me with my father in laws old car, gas gauge wasn’t working. Lol
$50 in gas plus one hours labor!
I had experience with this when I had a roommate we went to help his mother TWICE and she was out of gas.. When I was at work 12 years later someone said this car needs a jump, it was a ways away and I could hear it turning over... I asked is it a woman driving .. they said yes .. I said it is out of gas.. sorry ladies and yes i was right. Oh and 1/4 tank is empty fill it up when it hits 1/4 tank!

People are seriously fking stupid and I mean STUPID
What's even scarier to think about...All these broke ass cars are on the same roads as you and your family, pointed straight at you in the opposite lane at 75MPH.
It amazes me how so many humans are oblivious to vehicle wear and tear and or comfortable with the idea of roll it till the wheels fall off. Machines break down with use. They require maintenance! Lmao

The moment you realize you really never know if the guy infront of you ran a wire through their brake booster or notched their frame to run powersteering lines.

Unless they're pointing it at their own face at the time, then both the issue of whether they should have ownership and them possibly polluting the human gene pool are both resolved.
Yeah, maybe we should have laws to prevent this... Could have gotten someone killed.
There are more people killed by drunk driving and crashing than by gun's😂
The little pat pat the mechanic gave the air filter, at the ATV was really funny. xD 5:35
I do my own car maintenance (minor stuff like oil changes, brakes, rotors, air filters, stereo installation, etc.. easy peasy stuff) and these compilations make me feel so much better about myself because it makes me realize some are incapable of performing even those menial tasks, or they just dont care to.
And yet supposedly 'easy peasy' stereo installations seem to be a major and not infrequent source of significant mechanical defect lol
@@harryricochet8134 mines going strong. They literally color code the wires.. I can't be held responsible if people can't match up colors lol
@@SSSnakePlisken I don't think colour matching is the cause of mechanical defects, with 'mechanical' being the key word, rather than the cutting of structural members and drilling holes through brake boosters to run cables lol My comment wasn't having a dig at you at all rather than the total idiots in these videos who do totally idiotic things to their cars then drive these mobile disasters in waiting on public roads.
I've seen grown adults at auto parts stores paying to have wiper blades fitted. Enough said 😉
I feel you. They make it even more clear how much my dad taught me. Though I also know there is no shame in getting it done by a shop either. My sister is not a car person doesn’t mess with cars. I have been doing all kinds of things to cars and helping with car modifications for off roading since I was about ten or so. One of the things me and my dad have bonded over. He taught me how to change my oil, replace my battery, put in a new air filter, put on all the brake stuff including how to bleed my breaks. He also taught me general daily checks like checking my fluid levels. I also know how to change out the more complicated like changing out all the various different suspension things (I don’t do alignments because equipment required) and putting in aftermarket protection or body parts (things like slide mounts and under-plates). Still want to learn how to weld and how to do detailed shop things that require specialized tools. Well that and tuning stuff. I am also familiar with wiring diagrams, soldier techniques, and electrical so I have redone the wiring on a stereo install that used duck tape to cover the connection (that was a mess) and how to do tie in connections.
I like control so I tend to do and learn as much as possible. I also know how to do a large amount of the stuff around the house. I also know how to take. Care of snakes but that’s a whole different thing as you learn to deal with you pests and animal problems when you live deep in nature.
My favourite has to be the guy who drilled a hole through his vacuum brake booster to run a cable. I wonder what he would have done if the engine block was in the way?
Drill a hole using a longer drill bit, sure thing!.
drill through it...then wonder why he had a bunch of fluid coming out of it.
Tunes are more important than the car! Would've spent a week boring a hole through the block so he got his tunes. F* the car (which only cost $1200, but each rim & tire cost $1450)
Gonna need a bigger drill.
"Nah, we don't need this"

Every vehicle owner should be required to watch this channel 👍
Car owners really only need to know about brakes and oil changes, most people sell theirs cars before having to change or fix anything else
@@Scythe_Voltage no thats B.S. excuse. You should have some knowledge to know when its a job for a Tech and when to STOP LYING about what happened. Your comment is so insane like seriously? Ppl should just ignore everything? No they should FOLLOW the matinence schedule in the owners manual and AT LEAST be familiar with simple functions of a car. Attitudes like yours is WHY this channel has so much content
I will agree with you Yes some of the videos on this channel should be shown during Drivers Education, and if you think about it even further way back in the day when cars were still the newest things out there the owners manual actually told you how to do timing and adjust the valve springs and stuff like that, now when you open the hood of a car there are more warnings about don't touch when hot and don't do this or that.
With the stupid shit I've seen myself, I absolutely agree.
Wouldn't help these types of owners.
It always astonishes me that people will go to a shop before even looking at their car. They hear one noise and drive straight to shop without grabbing a second hand to help them listen from outside the car or atleast just looking around to see that they have a 3 foot long log stuck in the control arm of your truck 😂

I worked at a small engine repair shop for ten years. Seen customers "improve" things. Usually these improvements occurred when a brother in law and alcohol were involved.
I bet often in combination
@@TheRadioknight I had a guy bring in an off road go cart. ATV tires, big motor etc...The CVT belt drive and other parts had crescent shaped indentations. Customer didn't know how they got there. I worked in the automotive field for well over 30 years. I started as a mechanic, then a dealership service advisor, then a technical writer, and finally an insurance adjuster. Until I subscribed and started watching your videos, I thought I had seen everything. I was wrong!
Some of the things I saw in the field:
• A guy brought his car into the dealership for an oil leak and rough running. We opened the hood and found one of his connecting rods sticking through the side of the block. Yes, the engine was running.
• A woman brought her car in for "poor handling." We found that the Pittman arm was turned around facing backwards. she said she didn't remember hitting anything.
• Customer brought in a vehicle for new tires. Put it on the lift and as soon as the tires left the ground, the right front wheel fell off, taking the half-shaft with it.
• Woman brought in a car for a new battery. We replaced her battery, she backed out of the stall, and immediately pulled back in complaining that there was something wrong. She had a broken engine mount and claimed that we broke it. While replacing the battery. Store manager bought her a new engine mount and I got paid to replace it.
• Guy said he had to push the brake pedal too far to get the car to stop. We found that his front rotors were completely worn away. His brake pad backing plate was pressing on the cooling fins inside the rotor. There was NO friction surface left at all.
These are just a few that come immediately to mind. But they are all from the days before we all carried video cameras in our pockets. You and your contributors keep up the good work. You're a source of endless amusement for an old hand like me.
Oh, I’ve got one that hasn’t been topped yet…I worked at a Kenworth repair center in Reno NV. We had a truck come in needing a new clutch (at least that’s what the seven guys in the truck said). We stopped them at the front of the lot because something smelled like raw sewage. The shop manager asked what the smell was from.
They said they cut a hole in the sleeper floor so the guys didn’t have to stop for bathroom breaks. They just pissed and crapped through the hole as the truck rolled down the road. The entire underside of the truck was coated in human waste.
When we refused to allow them to even park in our lot, they left. We immediately called a former mechanic who was now a commercial weighs and scales trooper with the Nevada Hwy Patrol. The truck was stopped leaving the International truck repair center across the street from us.
The seven guys were all arrested for being in the country illegally, no licenses, false insurance/registration, and having a bunch of pot in the sleeper.
Considering that they'll screw you over for dropping a battery in at 95.00 for something that takes 30 seconds...
Now an A/C charge is like 250.00! That's effing insane.
Yes but have you ever had to replace a customer's missing double ended dildo?
@@windsofmarchjourneyperrytr2823 you know you can just learn to do all of those things easily, right? Lol. This world is sad.
Not that epic, but once a women brought her car into the workshop, cause the gear shift is sticking, and the clutch bites to low. There were like 3 layers of rubber mats in the footwell stick under the clutch pedal.

2:53 so....how many technicians does it take to remove one chicken?
Out of them, I loved the brake job on the boat trailer with 50 lbs of red grease on everything including the rotors. Nice.
Maybe the mobile mechanic was just making sure no unnecessary friction would occur ;)
Seriously, what level of moron was that mobile "mechanic"? His tools need to be confiscated ASAP!
I REALLY couldn't grasp the concept of what in the FUCK he was trying to accomplish there.... 😕
This grease build up happens a lot when people use bearing buddy's. The grease pressure blows out the bearing seals, then people just keeping pumping grease into them. I'm sure the mechanic did a fine brake job, then the mechanic or owner did the grease packing.
Bearing buddies are bad news!
@@festersmith8352 Bearing Buddy's aren't a complete waste of time, as long as someone doesn't pump an entire tube of grease into it. A pump here or there isn't a bad thing, but a guy had BETTER keep track of how much he pumps in, in between actually disassembling and performing a real service and inspection to the bearings.
That K&N filter worked so well it even filtered out the air!

I had a roommate wrap his leaking tire in duct tape. The WHOLE tire...duct taped. He said he didn't feel like putting the spare on. It's hilarious to picture this +6 ft., 250 lbs. man-child sitting on a crate next to his jacked up Grand Am, spinning that wheel to wrap it. Wearing flip flops, no doubt. No, it didn't work and it never left the driveway like that because I put his spare on. It's a bit un-nerving to know that vehicles like these are on the highways. Even more so knowing these idiots are operating them. Stay safe out there, everyone. Thanks for the video!
What if his whole plan was to get you to put the spare on? :P
@@GaldirEonai I'm sure it was as that was my job at the time. I was working in my dad's tire shop. I took it to work the next day and put a set of tires on it. He paid my wages that week. I hate that he wasted all the duct tape, though. LOL
it wouldn’t save him any time at all anyway cuz he’d have to jack up the car anyway and more than likeley take it off and put it back on. what a fucking tard!
It never ceases to amaze me the amount of work and effort people put into half assing something instead of just doing it right... Sounds like your roommate did a lot more work than just changing the damn tire
The spare can cause damage to cars if one wheel is a lot more worn out than the spare. It can be especially damaging to modern 4x4 systems. I don't blame him.

I'm glad I got out of it professionally when I did. Still did some work on my own and seen a lot, but a lot of this is mind boggeling.
Had one call me up to see why his new 350 engine install wouldn't start. Opened the hood and immediately noticed the fuel line connected to the bottom vacuum port on his new Edelbrock carb. Gave him my advice to follow to keep the engine safe from harm. He didn't follow it and engine lasted about 500 miles.
His father had classic car collection. Dumped about 2 gal of gas down the carb to get it going, cause he thought it wasn't getting any. Filled the crank case. Gave him the same advice I did to his son. But like son like father. that engine lasted about a 1000 miles. This one turned out to be the carb was already flooding over into the intake. If there was to be an inspector that day, they would have a massive fine for putting oily rags in an open plastic bin. They even have to potential to spontaneously combust.
My guess low comp they thought it was head gaskets and didnt kno what they where doing. Anyone seeing that scoring would kno it need rebuilt
Like how can someone take the time and effort to get their heads off but can’t spend the $20 to buy new head gaskets?
@@RUSTYCHEVYTRUCK Where are you buying V-8 top-end gasket sets for $20??
If you are, you might as well be in the same camp as the guy who reused the old gaskets with RTV.
Do NOT buy your head gaskets on Amazon fellas... Open your wallet, and buy some good name brand head gaskets. You WILL regret it if you don't.
@@davelowets point is regardless of how cheap or expensive the gaskets are, what’s the point of doing what has to be hours of work only to cheap out at the last second and inevitably have another bunch of work and money to throw in
@@RUSTYCHEVYTRUCK Yep, so buy good gaskets, and spend more than $20. I dont think you've seen the "point" yet.
I'm always amazed at people who were "cleaning" a loaded weapon.
People neglect to take the magazine out before emptying the chamber I assume.
@@AdamantLightLP or it was a suicide and the family reports it as "accidental" so life insurance pays the claim.
3:30 That is not a common BMW problem, thats a bad car owner problem; IMO
Some of these clips wouldn't be out of place in the movie Idiocracy.
This vehicle was owned and maintained by a Mister "Not Sure", and it is powered by BRAWNDO (with Electrolytes).
8:48 y'all hear that laugh?!!😂😂😂😂😂😂
First thot that mechanic removed exhaust muffler, but as he tossed it on the ground, he started to run 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I love the little pat on the ATV filter 🤣🤣
2:19 "Hey Jimmy! That's not what they mean by 'shooting brake'!"
5:28- when you try to flex by buying a Ferrari, but you can't afford the maintenance because you're stuck making payments on it. Flex gone bad

bro's got 1/camber stancing 💀
2:13 "hey I think my breaks are shot"
"are shot or were shot?"
"uhhhh both"
The level of abject idiocy of some people when it comes to being mechanically sympathetic is simply astonishing. Thanks for yet another cringe-inducing episode!😂 ✌️❤️🙂🇨🇦
if you are reffering to the people who refused service.
9 out of 10 times they just use the expensive garage as a diagnostic.
they know someone who can do the work for less then half the price.
Yup "Something's wrong... I think?" when there's a blatantly obvious issue that makes the car sound like a tractor or drive like a walking dinosaur.
Or when you see someone try to duct tape things together/fill in 5 times as much air in tires or literally just fill in random liquids into the containers as they see fit.
Some people are anomalies.
Wonder how many of these fall under the "I don't need no man", category...?
Loved that chicken he just wanted to go to work with his owner 😂.
“His brakes were shot” that got a chuckle out of me
A turtle crashing into the windshield must be the most random event of that guys year.
Sadly most likely kids playing.
Watching these videos are both educating and terrifying. Educating on what never to do and terrifying that someone actually had it happen/did it/etc.
And terrifying that these things are driving around next to us on the highway

"I know what's wrong with it. Ain't got no gas in it"
🤣🤣💪🤡🤡 an oldie but still a goodie a true story
My brother had his car towed home one day & spent an hour checking every thing without success. However, 5mins after I jokingly said "Is there fuel in it?" as I walked past, he was in the kitchen making coffee & looking rather embarrassed!
@10:23 who said Jesus with this guy at the same time?
“One of the technicians removed the chicken and took it home”. They definitely had a good dinner that night!
The little pat at 5:56. Priceless.
Excellent recap dude, they're all as good the 2nd time round!!
Coolant topped up with engine oil.. Did no one tell them that's not an oil cooler 🤣🤣 that drilled brake booster never gets old!! enjoy your time away bud 👍
Neil ~ Customer is likely the same one who FILLED his engine with oil!
8:44 Must have been an expensive one if she called to ask for it back
Ooo I actually know one!! At 11:28 that happened because they mixes different types of lubricants / oils this is what happens when you mix two different grades of oils/lubes together they separate and both lose they're lubricating abilities and just turn into junk LOL.
This is one of the first things you learn in electric motor controls DO NOT MIX OILS!
10:53 That was a bright idea.

OMG , installing an air filter @ 6:02 without taking it out of the foil , this is a clear DOTY ( = "DAU Of The Year" , see: Dau-Alarm DE .... a DAU ("DümmterAnzunehmenderUser") is the German version of a "PEBKAC" )
Old post. Must be the loose nut between the seat and the steering wheel.
1:15 STOP! DON'T LET IT ESCAPE! YOUR CAR NEEDED THAT TO FUNCTION CORRECTLY! 😆
Imagine driving to the mechanic, the whole journey staring face to face with a distressed turtle
9:50 What in the actual dilly??? That's not even cheap grease! 😮
A whole tub of Lucas red
@@volvo09 That's what I was thinking, but wasn't sure if Red 'n Tacky was the only red grease out there or not.
I yanked the cable plug last year and I'm glad I did JRI . Internet videos like yours are far more entertaining and at more than half the cost of cable TV.
I appreciate the kind comment. I usually don't get those on the recap episodes 😅. Have a great rest of your week, John!
