My Grandma used to make a mindblowing Blinni. No one could make good as she did, even when people stood next to hear to learn detail by detail. It's a talent, and I can't describe how great these Blini were.
@@AllasYummyFood There are millions! We love Boris! But... he doesn't have PANCAKE PARTIES! Also, for some reason, WE don't have a pancake holiday, but I think that can be fixed. I found your channel looking for KVAS techniques. I tried some bottled KVAS which you can buy in the US, but it seemed very sweet, I thought it might be something you have to make yourself. Also watched the one about dumplings. Good stuff! Anyway, I have a big pot full of toast soup sitting on the stove now, we'll know more tomorrow. Thanks!
I was in Russia to study medicine. I had lot of Russian friends. I was invited by some teachers for brunch. I had blini, smethana, karthoshka s lukom ee chesnokom, crab salad with eggs, chebureki, tea etc. The care and the hospitality was mind blowing… the love for Russia always inside heart till last breath..
Thank you so much for using cups for measurements. I've been living in the states since my teenage years and I don't understand grams or milliliters. So thank you for accommodating us here in the US. :))) You are too kind ;)
Just like my grandma used to make. Thank you for a simple yet great recipe. For everyone in other countries than Russia: You don't have to use sunflower oil. I used olive oil and it worked great. Most Russians use sunflower oil because, well that's what mostly all they use for cooking. I also used oil instead of butter on the pan so its a bit healthier.
My first blini was the size of a quarter with cream fraiche and caviar on top! Sheer heaven! My first time for all three and it was so soft and the tastes of saltiness, sweetness, creaminess was wonderful!
my grandmother was German from Norka Colony in Russia made these for us. However, she started her batter the night before and her recipe had cake yeast in them. She made a huge stack and we rolled them up and dunked in syrup!!!
Alla, what a suitable cute name, "blini," for a beautifully thin, delicate pancake! You make it look so easy too! The way you folded them and topped them with strawberry jam... well, the dish made my knees weak with craving! Great job my friend!
I've been looking for a good video on how to make "crepes" and I am so glad I found your video... Not sure why your video is not at the top of the search??? It should be. ;) Your video is simple and to the point. We just came back from Las Vegas and had some really yummy crepes at The Bellagio and fell in love... We had crepes everyday :p hahaha And my favorite are with berries, whipped cream, and a dash of powdered sugar. Oh and sometimes with a little Nutella. Thanks!
+Jessie W ooh yes i love them with nutella!! aww thank you so much!! i dont know what they are not on top, hahah I'm quite small channel still i guess! :)) let me know i love these :)
Greetings, Alla. I'm making some blinchikis for Christmas. My sons love them. I make mine with buttermilk how my mother used to make them. Sometimes, I make them sweet and, other times a little bit tart. I like them either way. I also make draniki and aladi.
They taste delicious. A bit too soft and flimsy from what I remember my dad making, and so easy to tear when flipping (I don't have a massive shovel-like spatula), but that can be easily adjusted with a tiny bit less milk. Great channel! Keep 'em coming. Can we do requests? :)
Some flour Two eggs Pinch of sugar Glass of milk Glass of sparkling water Some oil Recipe from poland ☺ Add strawberry jam or sour cream with sugar and cottage cheese 😊
AllasYummyFood Tried it last day with whole wheat powder, fresh yogurt, milk, honey, sugar, and salt. Fresh mango syrup was used as topping. Came out soft and tasty.

Idk, I am Russian and I just left Russia a couple months ago to come home for school to start again. I wrote a travel log about what I did everyday and I am typing and editing it. Soon, I will publish it. PLUS IT HAS PICTURES OF MOSCOW AND ME.
My Lithuanian grandmother made these, we had sour cream and maple syrup or jam. They were a little bigger than silver dollar sized. I can’t wait to make this. Do they freeze well? I live alone.
I know that vegetable oil is a staple of Russian cooking but is there any way I can substitute it with olive oil or butter? I have strong feelings against vegetable/canola oil
I get blinis from this international grocery store and what I do is put Russian jelly(either black currant or lingonberry) in the middle of it and roll it up like a burrito
Wow these kinda look like a bread we eat in our country it is called roti. The roti we eat isn't sweet we eat it with curry and pickle and i liked the video alot

Please do not take this the wrong way but from what I learned from Russian culture is that blini are also called funeral cakes because traditionally blini is made when someone has died. I read this in an Orthodox Church book once and it mentions St. Xenia of St. Petersburg mentioning a parishoner whose loved one has died to go ahead and make blini.

Thanks. My daughter read about Blini in a story and she wanted to taste. I wish to know if eggs could be replaced to something vegetarian?
umm not really, you can take them out, but the flavour might not be the same!
AllasYummyFood Tried it last day with whole wheat powder, fresh yogurt, milk, honey, sugar, and salt. Fresh mango syrup was used as topping. Came out soft and tasty.
one can make blini, using only:
water, salt, shugar, flour, and a half teaspoon of soda powder.
milk and eggs are not necessary.

Аллочка,блины обычно жарят на подсолнечное масле,а сливочное добавляют после, так чтоб они, блины, купались в масле.
Ok :)

Hello. Is there any substitute of egg we can use to make Blini?
Not this recipe
How much flower did you add?
you can get access to all recipes on my website :D
@@AllasYummyFood cool, I'm not gonna make blini anymore..
Sal7oof Sla7ef ok 👌🏻
I use one cup of flour and two cups of milk and three eggs. I would be curious to see how yours compares to mine
do you add butter before every new spoonful of batter? or just once at the beginning?
whenever the pan needs it so the "blini" don't stick to it.
You can after each pancake but it’s optional
What type of flour did you use?
Just plain
What kind of sour cream do you use? And thank you so much for your videos :)
i get mine in a local store here! full fat!
it's nice to know the exact portion of each ingredients. ..how would we know :)
