I went to Russia for my vacation with my girlfriend 2 weeks ago. We did not expect to enjoy eating there as much as we did! The Pelmeni are sooooo goooood. We are from Thailand where we have (Chinese style) pork dumplings in our country but this thing is on another level. And great with sour cream!!
My mom and dad were living in Russia for more than ten years in late 80s. They love Russia and pelmini is one of our favourite dishes. My dad's birthday is tomorrow and I'm going to use this recipe to surprise him! Thanks for wonderful recipe, cheering you from Sri Lanka ❤
@@wanderluster9034 russian started it dumpling first when they lived in the plain. they kept a stock frozen and boiled it for a quick meal. russian is where the original dumpling came from, its even written in Wikipedia.
I never comment but I always watch your videos! LOVE every single recipe! I'm Armenian but grew up with many of the same or similar foods! Thanks for sharing with us :)
I've never had Russian food before but this looks amazing wish I could watch more but need to start my next video! Russian Pelmeni is definitely on the todo list for dinners I need to try! Thanks!
I love pelmenis... My best friend in my youth was Russian, and every once in a while his mother would make them... I've always planned on doing them myself but I never got around to it. But now, as I just started to make my own noodles at home I am going to go through with pelmenis as well. Thank you for the recipe and the extensive explanation... I can't wait to see how they will turn out...
Wooow😍that is so great! I ate it with my eyes😍and its already fantastic❤ Have to try this one!!! Thank you for receipe❤🤗😍 You are so kind❤ And greetings from Slovenia❤
YAAAYYY!!! Been waiting too long for this one! LOVE pelmeni! can't wait for the other dumpling recipes too, i wish dumplings were healthier because they're so yummy!
Last time I had these was a long time ago in YEkaterinburg and Moscow, Oh I just ate so many, they became my fav food, then I could not recall how to make them, when I tried they all just broke down in the pan, Thank you,

Hello Allas! I tried pelmeni in Riga and I loved it, now I have a kitchenaid with the pasta accessory then I want to know if instead of the roll if I can use the kitchenaid to make the dough tinner before fill it up with the minced beef. Thanks for your recipes I shared then with some friends...
I loved these when I lived in Moscow! Now I can make it, thank you so much! Would you know the name of the green soup with sour taste served with a dollop of smetana and crumbled boiled eggs? It was delicious and I do not remember the name. I miss it!
@@timre3 Thank you. All I can tell is the soup did not look like green borsch, or okroshka, you could not see pieces of ingredients in it. It must have been pureed. It had a bright green liquid consistency with wonderful sour taste. In appearance the more similar looking thing I can compare to is American pea soup, but more silky and bright color.
It is really similar to hinkal/khinkali, which is definitely my favourite dish of all time. If someone wants to give a try, don't forget it's not that easy to do but absolutely delicious at the end!
I just recently had some of these with a family except they didnt have meat as they are on some diet where they cant eat meat or dairy till after easter. I think they used mashed potatoes. Do y have a recipe for that ?
