It's certainly the creative highpoint of Metallica's career and personally the musical direction I wish they had continued with, I would like to think that their collective writing abilities wouldn't have diminished quite so much if they hadn't gone for a more radio friendly/pop mindset from after this album.

This combines a couple my favorite things from my childhood... And Justice All starts off sounding like I think it's the Sunken Ship from Mario 64... Just Awesome.! SO FITTING.! I teared up.
The year is 2001 and I’m at my friends house after school. He just got broadband and we downloaded this album from limewire. Still just as good as then.

It's really not that bad in the original, a lot if the agression would be lost with more bass.

IMO the best Metallica album and one of the best of all time!
I knew I wasn’t the only one. For as great as Lightning and Puppets are, Justice was the first album I heard that felt authentically “angry”. To a 12 year old kid, it was a game changer. That the songs on Justice are the most progressive that the band ever wrote make it an album that 45 year old me can still revisit and appreciate in ways I didn’t have the capacity to in 1989.

Also about it’s being the first album feeling objectively “Angry” it does, but feels less or so because currently Slipknot is my favorite band 😅

I’m kind of ashamed to admit this but ever sense I was like 8 I’ve always loved Grunge and Nu Metal. I think this is a close second to my favorite album of all time, which is Slipknot’s self titled. Some other of my favorite albums include Alice In Chains-Dirt, Deftones-White Pony, System Of A Down-Hypnotize, and Nirvana-In Utero. Oh god I’m going to regret saying all this to a fan of “The greats” 💀
