for children with a German parent and a foreigner parent, as far as German law is concerned, if your child automatically had two nationalities at birth, he/she does not have to decide between the two at a later stage. Your child is therefore a permanent holder of dual nationality. In some cases, the law of the other country may however dictate a need to choose. You are asked to contact the competent agency of the other country in such cases (interior ministry or authorities or the foreign missions of the other country).
Thank you, please I want to ask this question, I have a residence permit and my baby was born here and she have residence permit, she is 3 year now, when can she have the citizenship. Please help me with the answer
I was born in Germany on 1989 and my father lived in Germany for 30 years but didn't apply for citizenship. He passed away 10 years ago, in my situation, can I apply for Germany citizenship?
@@AyanKhan-ji9gf I have a birth certificate but nether my father nor my mother have Germany citizenship. My father past away but when he was alive he had a permanent permit he worked in Germany for 30 years, could I apply for Germany citizenship and can I apply through consulate.
A very interesting video. Thank you for uploading. I have been married to my German wife for 24 years and lived in Germany, as a legal resident from 1993-1998. I wonder whether l can apply for citizenship using my previous time in Germany, some of which when newly married? I still have all the relevant German documents. An added bonus would be the possibility of retaining my British passport, as per new citizenship changes proposed for 2022!
I am married to a German, we have no plans to live in Germany though. My question is will I ever get a german citizenship?? I’ve been married for over 6 years

But have you lived in Germany before? Do you live in Germany? I’d go to the Landratsamt to ask
If someone ‚s husband oder wife applying the Reise pass after 8 years naturlization n him couple’s spouse can also applying together Reise
Both of them have been here for 8 years ? Then yes
If you marriage how long is going to take to get citizenship and how can I get the certificate without going to school

Hi,
Contact the Standesamt of the town your baby was born. Your passport or ID will be needed. It also attracts a fee.
Wish you all the best.
