Honestly I think Ondra introduced pretty steep inflation the grading difficulty. The reason being, the routes around that level all take specific training to get used to. If someone does a hard new route that only 2 or 3 in the world can do, and gives themselves a higher grade, then if course the next guy to come along wants to also say he completed that grade. But there are still 9b’s that Adam can’t do. He could have done those instead of making his own routes and just jumping to 9c
That's not how grades work in climbing. There's different styles and simply routes that dont suit everyone. So far none of Ondras 9b+ have been downgraded (with the exception of change due to a new kneepad beta). If Silence is in that same style and much harder for him it warrants a new grade and so far nobody has been able to repeat it. Also nobody has even climbed remotely as many 9as-9bs as Ondra and he is renowned for down grading soft routes and fighting against grade inflation.
Es gäbe sicher noch unzählige weitere Kletterer und Routen die man hätte erwähnen können. Aber Thema des Videos waren die ersten Touren im jeweiligen Grad und dafür wurde die Tour zehn Jahre zu spät erstbegangen.
