Blogger supporters angry at blasphemy arrest in Greece

  • Supporters of an arrested blogger hold a small protest in front of parliament on September 28. The 27-year-old man was arrested and charged with blasphemy, after mocking a late Orthodox Christian monk, Elder Paisios, in a blog and on Facebook, drawing an angry response from his religious supporters. The blog was jokingly named "Elder Pastitsios" (after the baked meat and macaroni recipe popular in Greece).     @GerontasPoustisios Why is it against the law to make the Nazis look like fools? That is a severe curtailment of basic free speech rights.
