I hear plenty of people say Andrew is the spidey but not many saying he's the best Peter Parker. I'm one of the few people who thinks Andrew is the best Peter Parker.
Characterization wise, he’s the closest to comics but due to the popularity of the Raimi films, a misconception was created on how Peter Parker actually behaves. Raimi made Peter more like Superman’s dorky Clark Kent persona when Peter should be a hothead loner.
Is it just me or does Andrew just really pull off the Spider-Man eyes? He moves his head and body in ways that really show the emotion through the mask. Andrew is a phenomenal actor!
I thought I was alone, ive always related to this Spider-Man the most out of all 3, Andrew really brings out that socially akward kid that no one really pays attention to, And Spidey in these films really is a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, he goes out and helps people from the streets, this guy will always be my favorite Spider-Man.

Damn, what an awesome video! Absolutely loved that you included Andrew's speech at the end. Also it's so nice to finally see some people agreeing that his Spidey was a great one - maybe even the best...
I grew up with Amazing Spiderman. Andrew Garfield has always been my Spiderman. He's such a great actor and his spiderman is really cool. I relate to his Peter Parker too. Having interests that people would generally think is cool but ended up being in a environment where people think otherwise or just all agreed to ostracise them. You can being in a environment where there are people who share your interests but for some reason they don't let you join in or just look at your weird. You can have every favourable feature but still have no social life because it's out of your control on how people think about you. His spiderman scenes where he's making his Web shooters is so cool, and where he is getting the hang of his powers. I still remember the train scene where he finds out his sticky ability and accidentally gropes someone. Inappropriate but funny because we know it's genuinely by accident and he has no idea what's going on while the others are getting more and more aggravated. Then Peter beats them all up with his spidey sense. Pog.
They really did not have to reboot Spider-Man after raimis third movie, but god am i happy we got Andrew after they did. Hope he gets his third movie so much.
I was first introduced to Spider-man as a wee lad in universal studios. Growing up I felt I never got that same high of watching spider-man in action until watching tasm and the way spidey was portrayed in tasm2 is still peak to me.
In my opinion Andrew is the best Spider-Man cuz of he's great acting and I think the action scenes were more suspenseful that's why I saw he is the best Spider-Man 😎
Andrew Garfield is do underrated, I would have loved to have seen a TASM 3 where Peter comes to terms with Gwen Stacy’s death, heck I would have wanted to see something like what Spider-Man Lotus is doing (without all of the controversy)
I always had him as my favorite. Times change so has being a nerd/outcast has. Form geek to skater. Both have been considered outcast.. Best actor... Best suit, and most accurate spiderman.. Toby fan boys hated it just cause he was replaced and maybe nostalgia.. idk. Andrew is the best spider-man
With better scripting and a couple of fixes with Peter, Andrew would have been the best cinematic Spider-Man ever. I still like him the most, you earned a new subscriber.
I'm back after almost 2 years since the last time i watched this vid and damn your video aged SO WELL. It's truly amazing how you literally said the exact same thing i've been thinking for years. ppl be like 'Andrew's spidey isn't comic related' like dude so is Tom's but yall don't seem to have problem with that. They be hating on Andrew because he replaced Tobey. Love your video so much! Andrew will always be the best Spidey to me and i'm so glad that he's getting the praise he deserves!
I LOOOVE Andrew's Spider-Man, it was heart breaking when I discover why he was fired, I hope we can have him again at least with the Webcut, because amazing Spider-Man 2 has. Lot of deleted scenes we could watch and based in a review from someone who actually watch the film before the final cut, it looks like amazing spiderman 2 could be the best Spider-Man movie
This video is awesome, and agree with each and every single one of your theory concerning not only Andrew Garfield's portrayal of Spiderman but also Ben Affleck's portrayal of Batman. I thought i was literally the only one who sees these characters in this light, until I watched this... Thank you for this video.
It kinda crazy people hated Andrew Spider-an ,but now their are people that loved his performance in no way home everyone cheered when Andrew Spider-Man came in the movie in my theater. Now people are having a fan support for The Amazing Spider-Man 3 I hope the fan support gets bigger Sony makes a third movie. There are even rumors that he might be in Sony might make a third movie.
Well the car jacking scene in the first amazing spidey was probably his most memorable moment as spidey, still to this day it’s my favorite scene by him
totally agree with , people just don't understand reboot has changes nad here as a human peter learns from his mistakes . It shows that our choices have a great impact on people arround us and if we can save them then we should . They just tried to add too many villians in a sequel without much of back story . Other wise it was amazing and way better than MCU
Andrew,s Spider Man had more deep story they introduced Peter,s parents for the first time in a movie and very deep story about them but what most importantly is that it was very realistic
Man, you deserve way more subscribers. So much effort put into the video, I enjoyed it very much. Plus, you proved all of the points people don't understand about Andrew's Spidey. Much love, keep up the hard work.
Thank you for making this! I’ve made those exact same rebuttals to all the complaints you listed as well. TASM and Andrew Garfield are my favorite! I love that you see these films for why I love them.
I have always love The amazing Spider-Man movies Since I was like 6-7, the swinging just makes me ignore a lot of its writing mistakes, it’s just so good, and the fight scenes as well, are just immaculate
To me he was not the best But he was an amazing actor. And he was actually the first Spiderman actor I watched because when his movie can out I was 4 years old. So I say he the third best Spiderman and if The amazing Spiderman three came out it would be more about his sadness for not taking responsibility and not keeping his promise by staying away from Gwen. The second is Tobey because, You know, he's Tobey. And My favorite is tom Because he is the only one that stayed a teen for every movie.
The complaints about Andrew are so stupid because his Peter shares similarities with ultimate Spider-Man from the comics, I’m pretty sure tasm peter is based off of ultimate Peter. Tasm uncle Ben is the best uncle Ben
Yeah he actually made sense Tobey's Uncle Ben was just "yeah man just cause you can beat him up doesn't mean you should with great power comes great responsibility" that doesn't make sense AT ALL. He was fighting in self defense And the responsibility thing? NEVER BROUGHT UP AGAIN.
Finally a Andrew Garfield fan. Tom Holland is a child spiderman The amazing Spider-Man is amazing with that edgy feeling and how they produced and wrote it
I'm gonna be that guy: The hate Garfield gets is from fans who THINK they know all about the character simply because of the Raimi films. If they actually read the comics, they would know Garfield is actually closer to the comics than Maguire if we're simply comparing personality and temperament. I'm not saying the Raimi films are invalid or "not true Spider-Man," not at all. All three live action versions are valid in their own ways. I just think Raimi stans just let their nostalgia dictate reality and they canonize those films as "the most accurate" adaptations when they really aren't. Peter in the comics, especially the Lee/Ditko era, wasn't some meek dweeb. He had a massive chip on his shoulder, lots of resentment, and anger. He was quick to dish out a comeback to his bullies and he could often be outright hostile. Peter in the comics is more of an Everyman archetype than an awkward nerd archetype. Hell, in the first 50 issues alone Peter had Liz Allen, Betty Brant, and Gwen Stacy simping for him hardcore. He even rode a MOTORCYCLE. So when people slam Garfield for being "too cool" cuz he skates? Pleassssssse!!!! Also, since when are the skater kids the "cool" kids? Me thinks ya'll letting media influence reality. The skater kids in real life aren't the cool kids. They're the outcasts. You just THINK they're the cool kids because our entertainment has always portrayed them as the sympathetic underdogs.
many elements explored in the first TASM are incredibly well written and ACCURATE to the comics I grew up with, its like people will acknowledge Peter's traits from the 616 and ultimate just to use those same traits as a criticism against Andrew, which to me says they either haven't actually read the books or just dislike Andrew's portrayal because they fell in love with other less accurate adaptations, to me just drop the skate and he's a perfect adaptation of the person I read in those comic book origins
Andrew Garfield is my spider-man and even to this day, I want them to continue with the TASM series one day and I hope that he want to come back if he ever gets the chance as well as Marc Webb because them two is why we have two amazing spider-man movies.
Andrews film came 5 years after Spider-Man 3, and then 3 years after Andrews films came Spider-Man Homecoming and noone was complaining. *These are confusing times.* And even tho I grew up with Raimi's Spider-Man, Andrew is my favourite because I can relate to him the most
As a Sam Rami spider man fan, I still prefer the amazing films. Andrew is my spider-man, I don’t get why people choose other versions of the character. I try to like the MCU spider-man but I’m unsure how to feel about him. When I saw the crane scene in the amazing spider man, I was just watching spider man. Not a film. I had never felt that way before. All spider men are great. Can we all just say that? Sure we all are biased and we all have our spider men. This is mine. Go enjoy yours.
The amazing spider-man was my intro to the character, so i am pretty biased when I say andrew garfields spider-man was my favourite spider-man. But this is a hill i'm willing to die on, that and i actually really liked the TASM 1 suit
I like Toby's and Toms Spider-Man I don't know if it's just me or if there's other people but I think I'm the only one that chooses Andrew Garfield as my favorite Spider-Man
I do too. I love Andrew to the moon and back and sometimes I even get carried away about tobey too he's my 2nd favorite, quite closer to Andrew But as much as I like tom he just isn't my favorite. He's great. But not the one I'd pick as a first option
I found out that Andrew Garfield was cast to play Spider-Man in late 2011. I had only seen him in a lower budget sci-fi movie called Never Let Me Go . He played a young man who was a clone of some rich couple's son(along with other young actors who also played clones) He was good in it. I saw The Amazing Spider-Man in a theater when it was released, and I liked it. It was different than the previous Spider-Man movies for sure. Peter wasn't a straight up awkward nerd, like Toby Maguire's Peter, but he was an outsider who was more intelligent than most of his classmates; including Flash, and he was jerk to Peter for being more intelligent, not cool and popular. Peter not being on a field trip when he gotbit by the genetically altered spider annoyed me, but I realized it I was to he was at Oscorp for answers about his dad Richard. It made sense for this tory. In The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter actually likes being Spider-Man much more. He has greater control of his powers, and that comes through with Andrew Garfield's performance. He was having a great time with this go around. His screen chemistry with Emma Stone's Gwen was excellent. He had said in interviews that Spider-Man meant so much to him when he was a child. So much so, that he had a Spider-Man costume that he wore for Halloween. I really liked(and still do) The Amazing Spider-Man and The Amazing Spider-Man 2, because of the stakes, consequences and emotional turmoil that Andrew Garfield's Peter had gone through. I have yet to see that with Tom Holland's Peter(it's no fault on his acting skill, but the writing) Andrew Garfield is my favorite Spider-Man as well. I think it's the best portrayal of Spider-Man.
Just realized I referred to Martin Sheen as Michael Sheen. Damn it. 😂
Dude do you wanna know why Peter is mad at that point?

THE SUIT IS IN SPIDER MAN REMASTERED LETS GOOOOOO. (it will come in the PS4 on Thanksgiving.)
THIS IS THE VIDEO I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR! People always hate on andrew garfield for what he wasn't, but never acknowledge him for what he was
Andrew Garfield is do underrated, I would have loved to have seen a TASM 3 where Peter comes to terms with Gwen Stacy’s death, heck I would have wanted to see something like what Spider-Man Lotus is doing (without all of the controversy)
I always had him as my favorite. Times change so has being a nerd/outcast has. Form geek to skater. Both have been considered outcast..
Best actor...
Best suit, and most accurate spiderman..
Toby fan boys hated it just cause he was replaced and maybe nostalgia.. idk.
Andrew is the best spider-man
Thank you!
I knew I wasn't the alone.
I knew that Tom Holland was playing a character. That character wasn't Spiderman. It was more of a wannabe
Thanks for standing for Andrew garfield. Absolutely truly love his spiderman! ❤
P
Andrew is the best spider-man just stuck in the worst movies. Though I do love TASM 1.
Ngl I think it's just my brain working weird but somehow TASM2 makes sense to me. Not my favorite but I do prefer TASM the most
Thank you for making this video! It nails everything that’s been in my mind for years!
Andrew,s Spider Man had more deep story they introduced Peter,s parents for the first time in a movie and very deep story about them but what most importantly is that it was very realistic
Everybody saying that andrews Peter isn’t like the original origin comic Peter, clearly hasn’t read the comics 🤣🤣🤣😭
I love Andrew Garfield Spider-Man thanks for making this
Man, you deserve way more subscribers.
I have always love The amazing Spider-Man movies
Since I was like 6-7, the swinging just makes me ignore a lot of its writing mistakes, it’s just so good, and the fight scenes as well, are just immaculate
Andrew: The best, because hes the closest to the comics, Tobey:my childhood, and my favorite ,Tom: I like his age
For me, Tobey will always be the best spidey. I still do respect your opinion and I also enjoy Andrew’s interpretation of the character :)
I hope there's more people like you, respecting other peoples opinion even though their's differs from yours. Thank you.
@@paradoz8375 Thx man, I try my best :D
Tobey!
Me too
The complaints about Andrew are so stupid because his Peter shares similarities with ultimate Spider-Man from the comics, I’m pretty sure tasm peter is based off of ultimate Peter. Tasm uncle Ben is the best uncle Ben
Yeah he actually made sense
Tobey's Uncle Ben was just "yeah man just cause you can beat him up doesn't mean you should with great power comes great responsibility" that doesn't make sense AT ALL. He was fighting in self defense
And the responsibility thing? NEVER BROUGHT UP AGAIN.
Finally a Andrew Garfield fan. Tom Holland is a child spiderman
The amazing Spider-Man is amazing with that edgy feeling and how they produced and wrote it
I'm gonna be that guy: The hate Garfield gets is from fans who THINK they know all about the character simply because of the Raimi films.
Honestly, if I were to describe the central themes of these two movies, it's emotions and the effects they have on people.
They should do for marc Webb what they are doing for Snyder give us the Webb cut of TASM
Finally someone made a video on this . The amazing spider man was and always will be my favorite
Andrew Garfield is my spider-man and even to this day, I want them to continue with the TASM series one day and I hope that he want to come back if he ever gets the chance as well as Marc Webb because them two is why we have two amazing spider-man movies.
I love this video and I like how you support TASM franchise like no one else.
Andrews film came 5 years after Spider-Man 3, and then 3 years after Andrews films came Spider-Man Homecoming and noone was complaining. *These are confusing times.*
And even tho I grew up with Raimi's Spider-Man, Andrew is my favourite because I can relate to him the most
I also like how he got bit on the neck by his spine because it would be easier to get into his nervous system
I always loved Andrew and im Glad more peopel like him
I agree. He is the best one. He's the best actor, and his swinging and fight scenes are the best ones.
while he's not my favorite live action spiderman, I do think he has many strength's that truly make his take solid
This video needs more attention
As a Sam Rami spider man fan, I still prefer the amazing films. Andrew is my spider-man, I don’t get why people choose other versions of the character. I try to like the MCU spider-man but I’m unsure how to feel about him. When I saw the crane scene in the amazing spider man, I was just watching spider man. Not a film. I had never felt that way before.
All spider men are great. Can we all just say that? Sure we all are biased and we all have our spider men. This is mine. Go enjoy yours.
Who after roumors of spiderman 3 Amazing'spiderman announcement..
Nice too know there are others who loves these movies
I agree, he is the best
even garfield says “story and character were not at the top of the agenda”. even the actor was disappointed in where they were treatinf the character
FINALLY somebody that actually is speaking facts
this video is very good and deserves way more attention than it got, very well edited too, keep up the great work
Tobey will always be my favourite but Andrew is a close second. Gets hated on way too much. Prefer him way more than Tom Holland’s take
The amazing spider-man was my intro to the character, so i am pretty biased when I say andrew garfields spider-man was my favourite spider-man. But this is a hill i'm willing to die on, that and i actually really liked the TASM 1 suit
Finally. Someone who understands he was the best one.
This ages like fine wine
18:26
bruh andrew knew it😭
I knew he knew it cause he loved spiderman
andrew was powerless
fck the producer
I like Toby's and Toms Spider-Man I don't know if it's just me or if there's other people but I think I'm the only one that chooses Andrew Garfield as my favorite Spider-Man
I do too.
I love Andrew to the moon and back and sometimes I even get carried away about tobey too he's my 2nd favorite, quite closer to Andrew
But as much as I like tom he just isn't my favorite. He's great. But not the one I'd pick as a first option
I grew up with Andrew Garfield not Toby andrew is more like Spider-Man classic
I found out that Andrew Garfield was cast to play Spider-Man in late 2011. I had only seen him in a lower budget sci-fi movie called Never Let Me Go . He played
a young man who was a clone of some rich couple's son(along with other young actors who also played clones) He was good in it. I saw The Amazing Spider-Man
in a theater when it was released, and I liked it. It was different than the previous Spider-Man movies for sure. Peter wasn't a straight up awkward nerd, like Toby Maguire's Peter,
but he was an outsider who was more intelligent than most of his classmates; including Flash, and he was jerk to Peter for being more intelligent, not cool and popular.
