Yeah, I would be bummed out if the physical plane in which our reality exist disappeared and we would be left afloat in the infinite void for our inevitable demise.
But that hope is empty. The thing calling for Zelda just might know a way to save her, but the context is lost. The meaning is lost to the Zelda copies, because the previous Zelda has to explain the immediate situation. The void looks different for each of us, but it is still the void. The void always had you.

I literally love this frame at 0:51 so much. Usually when you want to express an intense emotion, it'd reflect on the face, right? Artists would convey it with lots of facial creases, such as between the eyebrows, or lines around a frowning mouth, topped off with an exaggeration in eye shape (bigger or smaller eyes) depending on the emotion. But here, there's none of that. From the face alone it looks mild, impassive, even. It's literally just her going :/ . But you can tell that there's a great wave of indescribable emotion.
@@millicentwood549Dont let yourself get fooled. It was an artistic choice, and it was a great one. The decision of such a simplistic face, intentinally or not, adds much more depth to it.
I love how at first you think the Zelda copy speaks in a weird staticky voice just because she’s an imperfect copy, but then the original also speaks that way so you think it’s just a stylistic choice, _but then_ with the ending you realize it’s because they were both copies the whole time. (It could also just simply be a stylistic choice, but I like the idea of a cycle of copies degrading in quality each time)
I don't think it's a stylistic choice, because Tri could speak in English, so the Zelda copies really _do_ sound like that. also, if you compare the first and last frames of the animation, you'll see that it's not a perfect loop, the "second" Zelda turns out to be a lot more disheveled than the "first" zelda
What makes this so dark isn't the fact that she's achieved some sort of bad ending, some "soft-locked" state for the universe. What's dark is that she hasn't reached that yet. There is still Tri willing to help her, she can still create many physical objects with her wand, there is still gravity, and she can live forever by repeatedly re-creating herself. She has gone on this loop several times, but only a few dozen times, not an infinite amount. She can still create a new world... but it will be a slow, slow, slow grind to do so. It's like trying to scoop out all the sand in a desert, it takes an unfathomably amount of time to complete so I can completely understand why she lacks the motivation to start.
I don't think the echo wand is an infinite energy creation god tool. I think it's more like a magic projector. Within the trailer, the number objects that are created are suggested to max out at 3, and I'm sure there is a limit to how long the echo lasts. Also, Zelda needs to "scan" an object in order to echo them, and I'm guessing this Zelda didn't scan the entire ecosystem.
There is a limit, it's 3 in one part of the trailer and 5 in another part. It doesn't matter too much though because 1, the canon of the game and the canon of this video are different, 1 can't perfectly inform us about the other, and 2, this zelda can only make pizza, tables and red rupees. We're told this in a few ways throughout the video, see if you can catch it.
