Wow, I cannot believe how well preserved those gaskets were for their age! It didn’t look like there were and leaks! Most of the much newer engines I work on rarely have gaskets that come off in one piece. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I enjoy watching your channel.
Really cool. Kohler made an excellent engine. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the rebuild and restoration. And I gotta say that “dremmel” tool you used to grind the weld was impressive. I want one. 😄 Thank you!
Great, right in the beginning when you turn the engine little back and forth there was that clock clock sound, my Suffolk did the same, hope to see in your series what causes that
Seriously what a feat of engineering back then 😢 but boy was that oil run threw to long glad it didn't spin or damage anything it's in great shape but you can really tell how straight forward this engine was no journals, straight aluminum or divots or dimples in the machining. Really cool to see the changes
¿qué clase de máquina o aparato con motor de explosión se supone que es? porque segurísimo que en cuanto lo desmontes en alguna parte del motor te encontrarás con una bujía o con las que vaya equipado o lleve en su interior
To me, Kohler engines are some of the best small engines out there. They last forever as this one shows. Just wonder how old it is. And why would someone weld that pulley on.
Very good engine for rotovator or anything tools for hause, but have a big problem crankshaft are not avaible I have all kit for reconstruction but without crankshaft and I put a chineze Honda clone on Haward Jim rotovator original engine was 12hp I put 13Hp and work very well
I'm watching 1-2 hours length videos in youtube, how dissasembling car, truck engines. But you with your prevent video becoming too long.... Make me laugh 😄
@AJRestoration Perhaps having both a short and long version simultaneously could be an option. I prefer longer versions myself because you catch more of the minutiae, which to me is just as important as the rest. But that's just me. Great videos by the way.
Looking forward to part 2!

Even the engine itself on the inside is in fairly good shape.
Thank you!
The engine appears to be in decent condition judging from the internal parts. Nice job marking the pistons position. For reassemble.
It is in decent shape, I was delighted to see that!
the sparks are really stunning, another excellent video!
Many thanks!

Right on, that straight die grinder worked like a charm!
I have one of those impact drivers. I swear they save lives.
When the screw started to strip I was like "Why always the last one" and reached for the impact.
Hello AJ good job can wait for the next video
Me neither! Thanx buddy!
Nice start to the restoration, motor has a few years on it.looks to great piece for a rebuild.just continue doing what you do best.😎😎😎👍👍👍
Thanks buddy👍
With a modicum of maintenance, that engine will last until the heat death of the universe! A great engine!

They don't make them like this anymore. This engine is a tank.
Good job 👍👍👍
Thank you so much 😀

Absolutely, I have worked on a few Kohler and they are great engines.

A really well built, or maybe even over built motor. Looks like if you keep the oil in good shape, i will last another lifetime.
Absolutely!

Haha yes, then I release a 2 hour video and get a swarm of comments on how the video is too long.
@@AJRestoration You ever skipped borring video parts o UA-cam? 🤓

You already took the blue wheels engine off
I decide I don’t want to watch something that doesn’t resolve, part 1…
I will be releasing a full version, I know some viewers prefer it that way. turn on the notifications and keep an eye out for it.
