Hello Benjamin, my listening skills have improved a lot since I first started watching your videos, I love your accent and you've got a beautiful soul, thanks ! Greetings from Brazil.
Hi I'm from Mexico. I love all your videos and your accent too. My level is advanced and many people here have told me why I have a brits accent and they reckon coz USA is near my country I have to speak American English. I love UK. Greetings
I really learnt a lot and improved my accent through practising your videos about sounds, cheers to you Make more videos dedicated to Indian viewers. Thanks
Thanks for watching Dhanmay. It's difficult to make generic videos for Indian speakers due to the degree of regional variation. I did, however, make 89 new videos last Autumn, which I am confident are of good quality. I hope these will be of help to you.
In a film script there are sound cues - it means that at certain points in the 'story' there are sound effects. If I say 'cue music', it's like pretending that we are in a script and that there should be some music at that point.
I'm fond of using sophisticated vocabulary, I noticed you use them a lot. If there's an opportunity make a video about academic or formal words please, Also teaching about literature some authors like Charles Dickens and Shakespeare's works. Respect from Kurdistan
Hi Mert, thanks for watching. I'm not teaching anyone how to speak in a British accent - it always confuses me when people say they want to speak in a different accent. As an actor, I sometimes had to speak in different accents but that was for a particular purpose. If you're going to be working in the U.K., then I can see a reason to 'blend in' but generally, I think people just need to be able to communicate clearly. Does that make sense?
Wow what a good idea for a video! I still find it difficult to recognise the signs in The Netherlands even though I've lived here for 6 years/driven here for 4 years :-D
