I print out patterns and then either use them as is or trace then onto tracing paper, colour in the image so that the white never shows through in the beadwork, and then attach it to my felt :) this way I can use black or whatever colour of felt I want, and you can't tell there is paper underneath because it's the same colour as the beads :) but I love that window trick!!

This is the technique I learnt and use. I'm intrigued about using the interfacing though.

You should try the sulky iron on transfer pens 😁 they have a light one too
