All information that we find out don’t need to be shared bc EVERYONE isn’t gonna do right by the timid and the elderly people. Things can usually come back to hurt us then help us when it gets in the wrong ppl hands. Sometimes it’s best to keep things to yourself!! Praying for these elders❤
Rita, it’s important not to live your life in constant fear and worry. It’s not healthy. Anyone at any point, can do ANYTHING. This includes doctors, lawyers, nurses, firefighters, teachers, priest, etc. I completely understand the hesitation but this can be a good thing for the elders. Please continue to pray for the elderly and also include yourself and your well being in that prayer.
It’s Ria, I pray for myself every day, and I will include you as well. But it’s only common sense that everybody must be aware of what’s going on in the world and know that elderly can be the easiest and especially women so to just send a random person to go pick up your elderly family member to do something yes that’s something I would not want my family member on especially your elderly family member that you don’t even know who you have coming to pick you up yes that is something very concerning and if nobody thinks that’s an issue Then Something is wrong with them. I would never have my elderly family member on in such an app and that’s my opinion we all have one. Enjoy your day!
@ All opinions are welcomed. This is a safe space. I think it gets sticky when choice words such as “common sense” are used that might insult or belittle me or the next person. There are many things in life that one person might not do over another person and that’s OK! The world is a scary place, trust me I know first hand. I was abused for 16 years by my mother’s husband who is an NYC police officer…I know, crazy right! I still don’t walk around in fear. If this app isn’t for you and your family members that’s ok. There are good people willing to help the elderly and I was simply sharing that information. Forgive me if it made you upset. All the best Ria.
This may be just what I need. My mom passed in March 2022, godfather December 2022, then my godmother in 2023. I'm missing them and they were my support system. Now I don't have that. I've been wanting to help out the elderly and put my energy to use. I'll check it out.
I lost my Mom last nov and she was suffering a lot. I even had to feed her. But yes I think this is good way to help with you grief and help another person. So sorry for your loses! Sending a big huge 🤗 ❤
I really appreciate you. I have been wanting to do work with the elderly population for so long. I currently work with those experiencing homelessness. You are awesome.
Thanks for sharing this video. I know someone in Gainesville that need help. I’m thinking if she said insurance, it could be with that Humana Medicare plan.. I’m just thinking out loud 🤔but I know they offer a plan like that. It is for mostly doctor visits. Sounds like a good part-time job, honest and people who like helping the elderly. 🥰
@@DimplesonDemand Hi again.. 1. i am a fellow jersyite.. Rutherford.. 2. thank you SO MUCH for uploading papa pals.. life saving.. you have my eternal appreciation
This is very innovative, yet the care industry attracts so many despicable beings that a simple background check wont catch. Human interaction and vetting is needed. Seniors are as vulnerable as children sans infantilization. FaceTime, video chat from the nearest Police Precinct is suggested.
If everyone who assisted this lady, was like you, then this would be a great idea. But honestly, I think this is a horrible idea for the elderly. For me, ther is no way in he_ _ I would want some stranger to go all up in my grandmother's house to assist her with anything. Let alone, get in a car with a stranger from an app. We all know that YOU are a good person, same with me, and many others, but that does not speak for the people that are not good. Heck, I'd rather them get a ride from a neighbor, and have the neighbor go into their house. Sorry to be a bummer, but ummm it would be a no for me...for my grandma.
If you're not driving your grandma across the city whenever she wants to go then what is she supposed to do? It's not the neighbor or church member's responsibility. Either you do it or let Grandma live 🤷🏽♀️.
@@robinbaby1 I think you are missing the point of everything I said. Maybe in your mind, you think that everyone walking this earth is a GOOD person. I, myself, know that is not the case. What about the thought of someone working on the app...they go to grandma's house...scope around and see's what she has...then they decide to return to her house during non-working hours...have you thought about that? I didn't want to say that, but in today's world, that is NOT impossible from happening. We all know that. It's bad to think about, but you have to be SMART and talk about the possibilities when dealing ESPECIALLY with the ELDERLY. Just like you would with your child. So, when you said "just let grandma live," Well to let her truly live, and live safely, is to put up straight BOUNDARIES. And that means..."Grandma, just wait until I get off work, and I will come and pick you up MYSELF to take you." Orrrrr , I will contact "Barbara", down the street, since I cannot take you today because at least you KNOW her and can track her down if she does something. (Can't do that with a random person on an App.) Hope you have a Blessed day.
@@girlygirl1890Girl stop! If someone wants to rob your grandma they don’t have to get to her through an app. If that’s the case then everyone should be worried about the plumber, the utility man, maintenance man, air condition man, the cable guy, the nurse aid and everyone else who has to visit her home at any time. I do understand your point but if you’re worried about a helper then then buy your grandma some cameras.
