I will come back to your Lea reaction videos again and again. I am such a huge fan of hers and I really enjoy your love and appreciation of Lea’s talent SO MUCH.
This is one of my top 5 duets that Lea sings with other great singers!! Like Lea, Liz still sounds great today even though she is now 60 years old, exactly 10 years older than Lea. Please continue your great reviews of my favorite artist, Lea Salonga on Salonga Sundays!!
Yes!! I was there at Carnegie Hall for this performance. And it was electric. You’re right. They have identical singing voices and when they joined, you cannot tell them apart. And they obviously have so much respect and affection for each other. Thank you for bringing back memories of one of the best Lea Salonga concerts I’ve had the pleasure of attending.
Without a doubt, Lea Salonga is one of the feeeew intelligent Musical Actresses /Singers we have now. I am always amazed on her choices. Brave, attentive, sharer, GREAT.
This concert was Lea's solo debut at Carnegie Hall in November 2005 (she was 34). Lea actually did a production of BABY in the Philippines in 2004, playing the role that Liz Callaway originated (Lizzie, part of the youngest couple in the show). Lea is always a beautiful storyteller when she sings, but I can imagine how strongly she felt this song as someone about to have her first child (just as the character in the show). Lea and Liz sound gorgeous together. Count my vote for reacting to Lea and Liz singing "I Still Believe." They sang it together in this same concert: ua-cam.com/video/FK5G47DhdH8/v-deo.html. One more reaction recommendation: Lea and Regine Velasquez singing a musical medley. (It's from an online birthday concert Regine did as a fundraiser for a favorite charity of hers and they had to pre-record their parts separately, but it's fantastic. And just in case you are unfamiliar with Regine Velasquez, she is called Asia's Songbird. She is one of the greatest singers from the Philippines and has inspired a whole generation of singers who all call her Queen Regine. She is 10 months older than Lea.) There are two vids I've seen of their duet: ua-cam.com/video/CiQS0hgrURk/v-deo.html (has bubble filter on it) ua-cam.com/video/hqrVuUil-Qg/v-deo.html (video is inset in the video screen, so slightly smaller picture) I love Salonga Sundays. Please keep them up!
Amazing voice and storytelling! Wonderful reaction and dissection of storytelling through a song. .........I just saw her rendition of Bring him Home. I got emotional with that. I wish to hear your reaction for completion of her songs that she sang from Les Miz.
now you should react to Lea and her daughter singing Shy and also her duet with Esang, the girl that was dubbed as Lea"s mini me singing matilda medley.
I am your new subscriber, and I am learning a lot from you. Please react to Lea's performance of the song "Music of the Night" with Il Divo. I am missing Carlos so much. 😢
This is from "The king and I" soundtrack recording as Lea as Tuptin with Madame Julie Andrews, Ben Kingsley, Marilyn Horne, Peebo Bryson, etc. You show do a review on this. She was 20 at that time. ua-cam.com/video/hZfw6k3QohE/v-deo.html
