You can use 2 3" pieces of 3/4" or 1" dowels to wrap your running ends around. This will help you get your knots good & tight & you will find that your knots will stay where you want them nice & tight. You'll find it easier on your fingers & hands. I'm a walking stick/cane maker myself.
Hi Dennis, The Ebonising Fluid worked really well. I really enjoy watching you put the Para Cord on but still don't think I would get anywhere like the results you get. Take care my friend and really enjoyed this video. Cheers, Huw
You can pour some of the stain into a little plastic cup or bowl, and use a paint brush to brush the stain onto the stick. That's what I came up with to do because the towels absorb a wasteful amount of stains. I use cheap trash bags to set things on so my work table and area doesn't get stuff on it. I have been thinking about and praying for you and your wife. Been hoping you two are alright. Nice to see that you found time to make another walking stick. It's very cool looking!! Take care of yourself too.✝️😌🙏🤍🌹Oh!! Like anyone, I would treasure winning one of your handmade walking sticks. They're all really AWESOME.
Thanks for your tip and comment, TripleXXXLady. I was thinking, as I did this, that I must come up with a good method. I certainly will be trying your method. I do appreciate your prayers. Susan's treatments are going much better than expected and I believe through God that she will be completely healed soon. Lots of luck with my big event sometime this year.
@@OzarkArtsandCrafts The method that I thought of to brush the stain on worked really well. I am so happy to hear that Susan's treatments are helping. I know from personal experience that God can truly help heal us too. I was so happy to see you had posted a video because I have missed seeing you and been thinking of you and your wife. I setup and sell things which I collect and can make a profit on. I know how much work you both do to load up everything, setup your tables, and do your sales day. I hope you have a really great sale to at your next event. I am from Kentucky, but living in Ohio. I'm an "Artist" too as you are, and I truly admire your walking sticks. Take care of yourselves.🌹✝️
Sorry, it took so long to respond. In my first reply, I meant to say "Lots of luck with your big event something this year" I appreciate you and your comments. Thank you very much and God Bless.
@@OzarkArtsandCrafts Good evening to you and Mrs. Nolan, Susan. Hope you two are fine and rest well tonight. The cold damp weather is making a lot of us not feel our best right now. Prayers and best wishes to the two of you. Take care. It was a nice surprise hearing from you. Thank you.✝️😌🙏

A Turks head knot would look good too.
Thanks for the idea. I think I'll do that on next one.
Sorry but I didn’t see the link on how to make the knob
I am planning on showing the making of a scrap wood ball in a future video. Thanks for the comment.
