I've travelled this route in economy twice in the last year. No problems . Toronto - Taipei - Manila with EVA air from start to finish . Check in your luggage in Toronto and pick it up in Manila . EVA is fantasic .
Same airline and route I have been taking to Pinas. Eva Air is very good. Seats are comfortable in economy. Better than Cathay Pacific. How much is ecomomy price now? I am from Montreal....its irritating because from Montreal to Toronto only takes 1 hour so I go at 8PM and land at Pierson at 9pm. But the next flight to Taiwan is at 2AM!!! Wonder if its better to catch the flight in Vancouver than Toronto?

I'll never be convinced that babies should be allowed on aircraft - there's something wrong for the poor things if they all scream that loudly and consistently! A baby doesn't have to be anywhere that badly. Great video - will be doing this flight next April... any tips? Longest flight I've done is transatlatic which can feel pretty long for me
Thank you so much for watching my video. I wear comfortable clothing when traveling even on short trips. I keep moisturizing cream in my bag to protect my skin drying. Also I keep mint candies to keep my mouth fresh in case I can't brush my teeth right away after a meal or after a long sleep, lol. Goodluck to your upcoming trip. 😊

I don't think taking EVA from Vancouver makes any difference. It leaves 2:00 am Pacific time and you will be paying more.
