That was brilliant! My mum and an Uncle were both in the RAF and he flew Wimpys and used to tell me about his sorties down in the med dropping Torpedoes! hz also flew B174S and said they lost more due to icing from that base than in the war as he was then in coastal commend I think from Iceland! My mum was in many bases as a W.R.A.F member and worked on plotting as well and said you could hear the pilots talking!
Hi Nigel, thanks for taking the time to comment, I appreciated reading your memories, absolutely priceless. Wishing you the very best for 2023, Neville

Hi Neville Another song that I never heard. Exhilarating music to celebrate and pay tribute to this famous day. Good BT great video and a nice guitar too.........Greetings...Mic
Hi Mic , many thanks, this tune was a movie theme from the 1960's. The guitar is an Epiphone SC550 which I have owned for over 35 years. Best wishes, Neville
Hi Neville By watching your video, I can see the brand of this beautiful guitar. I did not know this model with this particular shape of the upper "horn" of the body thank you for the clarification....Regards....Mic
Hi Pino, many thanks, i enjoy covering movie themes. The guitar is an Epiphone SC550 which I have owned since 1983. Have a good weekend yourself. Neville
Hi Neville, this one slipped by me during lockdown, but I'm really pleased I caught up with it now. A great piece of music from the memorable 'Mosquito' film. A great version by you and a superb video. Thank you for the music. Best wishes John.
Hi John, thanks very much, it seemed like a good choice for the 75th VE Day anniversary as I had already done We'll Meet Again a while ago... Best wishes, Neville
Hi John, thanks very much, it seemed like a good choice for the 75th VE Day anniversary as I had already done We'll Meet Again a while ago... Best wishes, Neville
Again another great one from you especially as I'm into war film music. 633 Squadron is up there but can't beat Battle of British and my favourite A Bridge to Far but everything you play to it's brilliant the way you do it ......and I do like the background. Well done Neville
Hi Derek, thanks very much. Just had a listen to Battle Of Britain Theme on my old "Big War Movie Themes " album by Geoff Love & his Orchestra. It was the best 85p I ever spent! I will have to check out a Bridge Too Far. Take care, Neville
Well done my friend very apt my wife bought me the film on dvd love the film very well played brill tune a real get up and notice tune enjoy your weekend stay safe well done Peter t
Hi Ric, thanks very much. The guitar is an Epiphone SC-550 "Scroll" from the mid 1970's. I have owned this since I think 1983. I have only used it once before on an upload a couple of years ago. Regards, Neville
Hi Neville, My teenage memory album is eternal too. I think the courageous song and your teen heart are reproduced with a great guitar sound. It's also a support song to overcome the current infectious diseases. EBsShu
Thanks very much John your comment means a lot. The 75th anniversary of VE Day has been a surprisingly massive event in the UK which was a little strange as the surviving veterans are now in their mid-nineties and there was not such a high profile for the 50th or 60th anniversaries. The cynic in me thinks the politicians perhaps thought a little distraction was a good idea... Take care, Neville
Sounds like Emerson Lake and Palmer, the synth part - your guitar part is very articulate- with the Reverb turned up to surf level puts it back to 64’ when I saw the movie - back when many guitar players got into reverb
Thanks that's very kind. I had a look at some of the stuff on your channel, I am based in the North East so great to see some railways around the region , take care, Neville
Hi Terry thanks, that's very kind. Got a bit more time to explore the video editing software at the moment. Enjoy the rest of the Bank Holiday weekend. Neville
Brilliant Neville. Love this and very different to most offerings of this remarkable music. I wondered if I could use this as background music with your permission please?
Thanks Paul and no problem. If you mail me at worthingtonneville@gmail.com I can send you the sound file or you can download it from the video as an mp3 from one of the YT converter sites. All the best, Neville

HI Dave thanks again that's very kind. I wanted a tune for VE day but had already done Well Meet Again a while ago, then this one caught the eye. I have an old vinyl album of all the old war movie themes and still enjoy playing it occasionally. The Epiphone is a mid 70's SC550 or "scroll" which I bought around 1983. It has a twenty four fret neck. Take care, Neville
