@Neobert5240 I don't doubt that Portugal had a ukulele-like instrument going way back, given that the guitar has its origins in Spain, and the uke could be seen as a variation on that theme. But THE ukulele? Are you saying the instrument was introduced to the Hawaiian islands by Portuguese sailors, and the native people then adopted it as a focal point for their own musical traditions? It's hard to see what you just said any other way, assuming that it's true. I'm not trying to challenge you on this. I sincerely want to know. I know a lot about guitars. I know very little about this cousin of an instrument, but I'm naturally curious because of the guitar connection.
Livingston, I read Frankenstein also; the creature was misunderstood, abandoned, a genius, homicidal, selfish, and empathetic, however, not a gentle soul. He kills everyone that loved Frankenstein when he refuses to make a mate;and his brother before that, he is man good and evil.
Just look at what he does to that family. The couple comes home and as far as they can tell, the old man is being set upon by a really rough-looking stranger. So the son drives him out, a misunderstanding to be sure, but not exactly a heinous act. And for this, they get burned out of their home and possibly murdered in the process. No, he's pretty far from being innocent, and a victim. Not originally, but by the time he does that... And - I'm pretty sure of the timeline here - that's where he learns to speak and to read, so he knows absolutely nothing yet. It's not until after this that he goes back to Victor's lab and finds his notebooks; it's not until he's read them that he knows anything at all about himself or Victor, et al. So there has been nothing beyond immediate experience to fuel his murderous rage. Hmm. Are we certain that brain did not come out of a jar with the name "Abby Normal" on it?
The movie about the paintings is called Big Eyes. I still wathch the original Star Trek, but then, I have been madly in love with Spock since I was 14 years old.
The original "Star Trek" rejected pilot was just uploaded by Paramount this week! It's the "Captain Pike" original, scenes from which were incorporated into that rare double-episode classic "The Menagerie"(!) ~ I'd never seen it and will binge on it until it disappears.

Well, i happen to live in Portugal, in the surf capital of the world (so they call it) Peniche. The place Landau speaks about is not far from here, another town called Nazaré, which has the tallest waves in the world. Close to the coast there's an underwater canyon (twice as deep as the Grand Canyon is tall) which sucks the water downwards and then pushes it back up again, creating waves of 30 to 40 meters in height... It's quite spetacular.
Yes, exactly, I was not paying the strictest of attention or expecting a joke (and all three of them played it straight, giving no sign that it had been a joke), so it took a couple of seconds for that to sink in. Is this Frodrick Frankensten and I Gor😂😂😂. Im playing wish they could show that though but this is a decent little film excellent selection. How does copyright stuff work cause you would think they would be able ro show the free movies from Tubi unless Tubi would charge them so maybe I just answered my own question I guess. Anyways don't move a muscle an artery or a vein and we'll see everyone at the show. Until then cheers my creature feature family and safe travels as always and don't forget to close your coffins right my vampiric friends so no sunlight creeps in so we don't get burned for being a creature of the night as I type this during the witching hour of 3:40am
I just found the address where I can send a letter or a package. I for sure will be doing that!
Think creature from the black lagoon played drums.
A Creature Features first! - a Frankensteen movie :)
Tangella reminds me of Olive Thomas. Silent film star actress 💗💗
