Love this. I've spent many hours trying to get "Pride and Joy" to sound right. Deceptively difficult. A lot of string muting needed. Great riff to work on if you want to go from beginner toward intermediate.
The only thing I'd add, Marty, is guys like Andy Summers- Message in a Bottle, and the Edge - Bad. They went a whole different direction, but came up with some cool guitar parts.
I love how you slipped that smoking fill lick at the end of Crazy Train. Your awesome. Great job once again! There were so many cool Top Riffs in the 80s it's hard to argue with your selections. St Elmo"s Fire was another movie hit that comes to mind

Love me some Back In Black. But when I played football in high school, we used Hells Bells. Plus as a San Diego boy, Hells Bells meant “Trevor Time!” The Padres closer Trevor Hoffman was one of the greatest closers ever. They’d shut all the lights off in the stadium and ring a real bell while he came out of the bullpen in the outfield. I get goosebumps to this day thinking about it.

My karaoke 50th Anniversary tribute to Aerosmith 'Dream On' reminded me that my 20s & 30s were a long time ago, but I must have been doing something right with as much 'audience participation' as I noticed on replay of the video. Still keeping the guitar at home while I do refresher exercises with the muscle memory for hybrid-picking, double-stop and triad-chords, and rebuilding my maneuverability & reach along the post-surgery recovery path. (Trouble Tribe 'Here Comes Trouble' features some great 'stretch exercise' opportunities too)

My list would include "Jessie's Girl" by Rick Springfield (best rock-pop song of the 80s in my opinion) and also "See the Light" by the Jeff Healy Band, but I recognize that that song wasn't a huge hit, especially outside Canada. But Jeff's scorching licks are part of the reason I wanted to learn the instrument.
