actually it's the first time i've ever seen him doing it live solo, what an amazing lesson on how to play it... I'd be honored if some Michael McDonald fans would check out my acoustic piano & vocal covers of HEART TO HEART (by Michael & Kenny Loggins) and HOME AT LAST by Steely Dan on my channel in tribute to the masters of groove. Live acoustic with no autotune. Thanks and peace.

There are things about this song some people don't like. One tutorial seemed to have his doubts as well.
I can appreciate the genius that went into this, but can't say I really like the song. I'm trying to learn it, and it is not easy, especially the verse. It's almost out of Michael's vocal range on this video.

OMG. Many of you may not recognize the skill. talent and pure genius of this man and this song (co-written by an equally talented Kenny Loggins). This music....OMG...God this is so great. The chords themselves are so beyond 75% of most "modern musicians" sorry to be a downer but...this is 4 cuts above most anything on the radio in 2019. Thank you Michael and Kenny for filling my life with music.

Instead of trying to sing in a higher like he did when he was a young man, and this song came out well over 40 year's ago, he nails it by singing in a lower octave as an older man. That is a true artist!

He definitely did not sing it in a lower octave, but he should’ve lowered it at least one more half step. This key was at his falsetto limit and he fell out of it a couple times.
