Organizing my Homeschool and Business with The Original Scrapbox DreamBox

- A long time ago, in one of my random scrolling episodes on Facebook, I happened upon a video. Like Chronicles of Narnia, a wardrobe was opened and inside was a magical place of organization and beauty! They had sewing supplies and scrapbooking supplies inside but all I saw was homeschooling supplies and journaling supplies and ways to make my business run more efficiently. In short, I fell in love and spent hours watching videos (and benignly showing my husband) dreaming of the day that something like that would be possible for me.
When the amazing team over at The Original Scrapbox responded to my request to review the DreamBox in a homeschool scenario, I was ecstatic. I told my husband that we had to remodel our entire basement (which was, at the time unfinished and ugly) to make a home for it. Yes, I got the DreamBox in exchange for my review, but let me just finish that sentence with the fact that we spent more on our remodel than the cost of the box! Ironic, no?

Or you could put one of those cameras they use on doorbells and secretly find the culprits hahaha
That's what bells are for. I don't have a DreamBox (I wish!!!), but I do have a few wood lockers that I attached bells to the top of the doors. It's literally impossible to open the doors without ringing the bells (because of child-proof latches that we all know are never really child-proof, but they do slow little hands down)
Oh I love glitter - it is perpetually in my dryer vent 😆. The index cards would make me happier in neon. 😉

Love your video! I really need one of these...can't afford it 😥. I am saving up. I have acquired a host of craft supplies. Live in an apartment and this would fit Gorgeously in second bedroom. I would definitely leave it open when I get one!!!!!

I needed this 40 years ago with nine kids. Everything lost was blamed on that "Nobody-body Butler kid."
Now with 24 gkids it's NECESSARY to prevent violence or trashcan words.
Glitter/slime/ legos/bubbles I send to the kindergarten teachers and the nursery leader. They deserve the Joy of Creativity. And with the six feet of distancing we all need a space/place we can live/hide. TYFT

I'm with you on the glitter, but in my house water beads are amazing. My youngest has sensory sensitivities, and experiences like water beads help open her brain pathways. So we embrace that mess, but glitter has no place in my life.
Using index cards for research and even half this as a file cabinet for cards would be awesome

I have a cabinet my kids are NOT ever to touch! Yours is much nicer but mine was free... Lol. It works about as well as yours! Scissors and tape too! May God bless your homeschool year.
I need this in my life, however I don’t think I have any room for it. I’m with you on everything you said from getting into everything you tell your kids not to. My husband always gets things taken from his cabinet and drawers, mainly his assortment of duct tapes. The glitter incident happened to me today, we only hv ONE small container of it and my baby found it! Big mess! I knew I should hv thrown it away while back but you think “I’ll keep it out of sight”. The chalkboard thing, my kids begged for a chalkboard and I got a big one, after buying it I thought “hmm where do I hang this thing so that chalk dust doesn’t get everywhere?” Thanks for that warning! Haha

My home will have a Dreambox soon as well!!! I hear Angeles singing in the background every time I say Dreambox coming. They said delivery in about 3 to six weeks. That was a week ago yesterday. Soooooo been extremely busy packing up my crafting beading, well huge amount of supplies beads everything crafting. I have severe RA since 21yrs old. 40 yrs later I have severe deformity a lot of pain plus take care of my mom with severe dementia. I'm so excited and cant wait for her to get here, but terrified I won't have area ready. I do have a question. ..how high is unit with crown? I have about 7 foot ceiling where she will be going. I asked support guy he texted that it would fit. Thanks for sharing your vid. I'm so EXCITED! !! I hear the angel singing again! ;)

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think Mr. Maker is pretty new. Art Attack was everything and I also like Fingertips. There was another art show that used to air in the middle of the night but I don't remember the name.

I hate the feel and sound of chalk too! We have small dry eraser boards for writing. They can take chalk outside if they want to use it l won't pick it up. 😂 Thanks for sharing!
