Toluca, IL, probably the greatest siren town I've been to yet. In this small town of 1300, there are 4 Thunderbolts and an ACA Cyclone. The Cyclone was their original siren, and then they acquired the 4 Thunderbolts from Michigan for practically nothing in 2007. They all look really nice although it's kind of hard to tell in the video. Toluca is proud of them and takes real good care of them.
The first test is done by the county and only the 4 Thunderbolts go off. The second test is done by the fire department and all 5 sirens go off then. I am standing between the 2 1000Ts at the very northern edge of town. The very northern one, which is the one the camera is pointing at during the tests, is sounding I believe at chopper 2 and rotates at 4 RPM, and the one directly behind me at the water tower is sounding at chopper 3. Also heard is a chopper 1 1000T on the east end of town at the school on Atchison Ave. and Walnut St. and then heard at some points, especially at 3:28, is a chopper 4 B-Series 1000T at the fire department at Railroad Ave. and Lincoln St. The Cyclone right in downtown is only heard during the second test.
Here is a link to the map in the video of Toluca's 5 sirens. maps.google.co...
Filmed December 3, 2013.
These are the sirens I grew up with and the sirens people pay attention to.
The siren built to signal the end of the world. Still scares the crap out of me. LONG live the mighty Thunderbolt!
This is so freaking surreal!!! Your so freaking lucky!!! This was a hell of an Awesome treat
I'm sorry, but I can't help but think 'Silent Hill' when the sirens go off in the fog like that.
Holy Smokes
Way to close to each other
I visit this town once every year to eat at a restaurant there, but the bad part is that I'm always there when its dark, so I've never seen these sirens. :(
If you look closely, you might be able to see them
+BOB!theGMObanana I went there in November and got pics of all 5.
I just shipped my pants...
LOL
That is the loudest and eeriest siren ambiance I think I've ever heard.
So you're an... air raid siren enthusiast? And most of the commenters of this video have air raid sirens as their pictures...
I did not know this was a thing

I'm planning for a new project for collections of warning sirens by asking for the permission of the videos owners for using their videos, and also mentioning their channels to give credits to it's respective owners :)
Is it ok for me to do so ? :)
There's s nuclear power plant that has over 30 TBOLTS that still up for a evac!

Nice! Sounds cool.
You're so lucky lol 2 Tbolts at once! 😰 The mighty Tbolt is my favourite siren but I'm from the UK so my chances of ever hearing or seeing one in real life aren't much 😩😞

I'm planning to start a project for a collection of warning sirens around the world by asking permission & giving credits for the original respective owners when using their videos.
May i get your permission ? :)
Sounds like growing up in Texas.
As loud as they are...why were they placed so close?
the sirens nearest the camera are on level 4 and level 5.
actually Level 3 and Level 4.
Awesome
wow that's awesome two thunderbolts near each other feel bad for the people who lives in be twin them two lol
Nice video
I think I hear a cyclone in the mix
Because there is a 120 in Toluca
Why does a small town like that need all those sirens and so close together?
Surely one T-bolt could do the trick.
indoor warning I guess 😂😂
American Siren Productions one inside each house
they need to put one next to every single telephone pole in the town XD
Drexelious God the energy bill would be crazy
So scary!
To anyone coming here from reddit: Just start at 0:55
Why need a subreddit when you have thesirenboard
siren communication
🥹🥹🥹
That is a little scary
Not at all, it's AWESOME!!!
Scary is when they're being sounded for a real tornado.
Why are they so close together?
Because, once a group of goblins called "The Goblins of Toluca" came, raided the town, killed the mayor, and peed in the mayors house and they caused a tornado to rip through the town, they had no sirens then, so they installed 4 thunderbolts to scare the goblins.
SBCuber what the fuck are you on about 😂
That’s a heckin story and it was ironically foggy in the video
@@twistercuber clash of Thunderbolts download for free
@@athxlpacii77x4 what was i thinking 4 years ago 😂
