Inconveniences : no batterie, requires plugging into USB plug (cat want to eat the cable), the fountain is not connected to wifi directly but to Bluetooth. You need another Wifi connected appliance like the litter box or the feeder to be able to access the fountain from a distance if you are on holiday, the filter needs to be changed every month (very expensive :around 20€)

Hi does the app send a notification when the app is closed to let you know when the water level is low or does one need to open the app to see the water level?

You can see the level from the front and the app will tell you when it is low.
