I love watching class ring recoveries. I lost mine in 1969, just a few months after getting it, and was so upset. It was found months later in the spring, after the snow piles at the neighboring towns school parking lot had melted and was returned to my school. I can still remember jumping Ang running down the hall,to the school office when the notice came on the intercom that a 1971 class ring with the initials LLM has been found and was in the office. I was so excited. My parents drove me to that school parking lot where we looked everywhere in the snow for it the next day after I had lost it. We had gotten 3 inches of snow and the snow plow had the lot half plowed when we got there. I never thought I'd see my ring again. You can just imagine as a young girl who had saved her baby sitting money for a longtime so she could have the best class ring design they offered, it was special!
That is a wonderful adventure Linda! So happy you got it back. I found another from 1965. I am still searching for her. I have a name, but I am not getting any responses from contacts found. She will be 75-76 years old now. I really hope I find her too. I found another and returned it as well, did you get to see that one? Its over on my long content channel ua-cam.com/video/J_FShTuiIag/v-deo.html
WoW, 21 years lost and returned. Since I started detecting back in 1973 I've only found 2 H.S. Rings. The one in N.C. had only been lost for 8 months, and the one in Delaware was lost for I think 3 years.
What an awesome day of hunting. You were out standing....errrr, outstanding.... in your field. The recovery and return of the class ring is inspiring and is one of those stories that put detectorist in a good light. Well done!
WOW, I dug a 2002 class ring back in 2016. Gave it back to the lady on the news. Great Job, congrats. One of the reason I got into detecting was for ring returns. I got to go look for a guys wedding ring Monday, he lost on Fathers Day. Found it. His wife just had a baby 10 days ago. They where happy.
My grandmother lost her wedding ring about 40 years ago and it meant a lot to her. A few years ago she got a random call. The city was repaving an old road and someone had found the ring! Some 35 years later! I'm glad you got it back to her 😊
The silver ring has either a cz or a semi precious stone which could be zircon which some confuse with cz but it’s actually a real stone with a hardness of 9 on the Mohs scale of hardness.
my dad did metal detecting years ago built his first metal detector found lots of gold and silver he found a lot of class rings returned back to owners using class year books
I relate to this. I lost my high school ring at a popular swimming hole and only had it about a week. I was doing good not wearing it until someone kicked over my tennis shoes. I picked it up and put it on my finger. It wasn't 5 minutes later, I dove off the cliff and as soon as my hands hit the water off it came and down it went. Visibility 0% and over 10' deep. I know it's still in that hole of water to this day close to 40 yrs now. I hated to have to tell my parents about losing it because money wasn't easy to come by.
You could retrieve your ring if you wanted to rent the scuba equipment. It should not take over twenty or thirty minutes to get your ring back. From the depths . Fantastic story with the ring for Bethany, well done. I have just got my first metal detector and hope I can find and return a precious item to someone. All the best, kind regards, Chris from UK. 👍👍👍
What an awesome video! I can't believe how many nickels you found. Where I am, nickels are really rare for some reason. And what an awesome recovery/return. Did she happen to say if the guy who lost it is who she married? Just curious.
Thank you so much. Glad you enjoyed! Yes, so so so many nickels at this location right now my nickel jar is the most full. No, she didn't marry the boyfriend. hehehehe
I just stumbled across your video. As a kid I’ve always heard about how my mother would always have a nickel to buy milk at lunch, late 50’s /early 60’s. So that might be why you are finding all that milk money.
I ALSO LIKE TO DIG THE NICKELS, I LOVE ALL! OF THE INDIAN COINS, I HAVE YET TO FIND A BUFFALO, FOUND A GOLD MEXICAN COMMERATIVE 20.00 PEICE AND A GOLD PENDANT VERY VERY OLD I THINK IT'S CIVIL WAR ERA OR OLDER PURE GOLD HALF OZ. , AND I FOUND MY FIRST SILVER COIN YESTERDAY, A 64 QUARTER, JUST FOUND YOUR CHANNEL, AND I'M LIKING IT, GOD BLESS Y'ALL.
Wow, you are finding some great stuff! I found 5 buffalo nickels in 1 day just awhile back! Congratulations on the silver! Thank you for watching both my long content channel and my shorts! Honored to have you!
I dug a tungsten wedding type ring on a sandy beach and it was engraved inside with Jamie 🖤 Esther. At the time I posted on Facebook asking if anyone knew of a couple with those names. It was a couple of years later that someone messaged to say they had stumbled upon my post and gave me contact details for an Esther who they knew once dated a Jamie. I messaged Esther only to be told that they had split up many years earlier and she didn't want the ring back. It was only later I realised that she had possibly thrown it into the sea when they split up.
The silver ring 19:55 will be a zirconia, is my guess, no jeweler would put a diamond of that size in a "silver" ring. A diamond that size will be gold or platinum.

My ex-husband wore my class ring on his pinky finger. He was stationed at Oceana Navy Base and worked on jet ejection seats. They were not allowed to wear jewelry while working, so he'd put his rings (wedding band and my ring) on the carabiner clip on his belt. Another ring return! I was asked by a friend to look for a class ring lost during a graduation party and volleyball game years ago. They had searched for weeks even renting a detector. I went to the yard and asked where the girl was standing in her last serve. Tuned my detector and never took a step forward. Heard a loud brrrrp, looked down and saw a blue stone staring up at me. They were all shocked.
Awesome! get those rings back to where they belong
Heck yeah!!
I lost my high school class ring, back in the mid '70's. I found it again after my mother passed, about two years ago. Lost for 47 years.
Wow that’s crazy!!
Nice that your mom held it for u. Probably should of asked. Or was it a she toook it but forgot, like all moms

wow, yeah, its not easy
Why is this yard full of nickels?
I have no clue, nickels, nickels EVERYWHERE!
If it’s gold ring most likely it’s a real diamond

If it’s silver it’s not real diamond
