Have watched hundreds of artists trying to make GTA style cartoon with illustrator, infinite design, digital tablets, but this is the best that matches GTA level work. Please make step by step tutorial if you can.

I have a few questions:
Are you painting on one layer or are there multiple layers for each section?
Are the brushes blending or smudging in any way or it's just color on top of color with soft edges?
I want to recreate this style in procreate, do you have any suggestions such as brush settings?
Yes there are multiple layers, like line art, skin, shirt, pants and hair.
For brushes im just using hard and soft round brush from photoshop :)
Idk if this matters to you but I’m using procreate as well and the default round brush should work!

You used lasso tool outside the pant, why wasn't it colored as black too? How did you lock that layer?
im using alpha lock, so i can change the colors inside the shape
So tracing the line art part and then painting very genius. Since it looks like the works of Anthony Macbain the original artists style, is there any chance that he might be using this workflow too? Or is he just painting from ref do you know him or his approach?
for this one im still figure it out so I took the easy way, Anthony might be on another levels
he might do the line art after he finish shading

I dont have tutorials, but you can look at Marc Brunet video tutorials, i also learn from him

after done make path you can right- click and choose stroke path - in tools choose brush and OK,
you can change the stroke to be bold or thin based on the brush size

Thats just adding stroke from pentool path, after you made the line then right click and choose stroke path option

Time lapse 'tracing'
You stole a game called Getting Over It Song
This is not a smart way to go about it when you can do it with filters for a fraction of the time. If you doing this as a business I'll get 20 out in the time you do this one.
you can see the difference between drawings and filters, drawings are a lot better if you compare them
The real illustrations from the gta loading screen and posters were drawings so you won’t be able to get the true effect with a filter actually at all.
A painting makes it more genuine idiot
