Not even close to 100% accurate. Polygraphs are not admissible in criminal court in Canada, for example., or in US military courts, and in the US it's left up to the judge based on whether they can demonstrate its reliability.
Lie detectors don't actually detect lies, they determine if somebody is lying by measuring how nervous somebody gets (by looking at heartbeat, breathing, sweat, etc.) while answering. Rhett was totally cool, that's why it didn't say he was lying, even though his statements literally included not being that fond of his own kids. So in a way he was right, he was able to fly under the radar of said experts. 😁 Link on the other hand is bad at lying, so the test worked on him (Not that you would have needed one to tell when he was lying tbh 😉) People really need to stop putting that much weight on these types of videos. If lie detectors were actually reliable, the police would use them.

If something gets marked as a lie, then it's usually right because something prompted a trigger like increased heart rate. It's the answers that get passed off as truth where they might be bluffing the system.

and... there's no possible way to set up something to trigger a false reading on a lie detector test.. ;) -- A simple thumb tack in your shoe is plenty to simulate a lie.
Galiant, not quite so. People under extreme duress or who feel very stressed, like all anxious people being interrogated, look like they're lying for those exact triggers, like heart rate and blood pressure.
But those anxious feelings/stressors is why they ask baseline questions they already know the answers to. Like the persons name, age, address. So they can see what their truths look like on the machine.

funny, but these things aren't 100% accurate so every truth or lie here should be taken with a grain of salt. also they 100% already know that they can piss eachother off but are still best friends :) nothing new to see here.
Not even close to 100% accurate. Polygraphs are not admissible in criminal court in Canada, for example., or in US military courts, and in the US it's left up to the judge based on whether they can demonstrate its reliability.
They're about 50% accurate, in the same way that tossing a coin is about 50% accurate.

Lie detectors don't actually detect lies, they determine if somebody is lying by measuring how nervous somebody gets (by looking at heartbeat, breathing, sweat, etc.) while answering. Rhett was totally cool, that's why it didn't say he was lying, even though his statements literally included not being that fond of his own kids. So in a way he was right, he was able to fly under the radar of said experts. 😁
Link on the other hand is bad at lying, so the test worked on him (Not that you would have needed one to tell when he was lying tbh 😉)
People really need to stop putting that much weight on these types of videos. If lie detectors were actually reliable, the police would use them.

Shadow storm My friends and I took one once and according to the test, one of my friends likes kicking his mom in the stomach and I have done heroin before. (Don't judge us for the kind of questions we asked 😂) So yeah, unless I was very wrong about my friend and my subconscious knows more than I do, these tests don't always work. 😅

The way she snaps at them will completely knock their emotions off-kilter and could result in an already inaccurate test to give inaccurate answers.
Are you deaf or just dumb? She said she's done those test for 8 years. She obviously knows what she's doing (where you probably know nothing whatsoever about these tests), there's likely strict guidelines that need to be followed to make the test more accurate, and she's just following those.
