So you can have something solid I'm guessing?
To me it is getting boring, and many youtube channels get boring to me and I stop watching, but I'm not necessarily their target audience. As long as they enjoy making the show and there are people out there that want to watch, that is all that matters. They can't please everyone.

Depends on if your honest, it goes a long way in relationships, it’s not rare is just there is a lot of dishonesty in people nowadays, and I try to be as straightforward as possible when taking about serious things with each and every relationship I’m in.
Well yeah, they’ve been friends for almost 40 years. That’s very rare.
I think it is rare! I think a lot of people like myself have trouble keeping friends, especially through school changes, lifestyles changes like marriages, moves, and normal human growing. You can tell they have worked very hard to keep their strong connection!

I absolutely DREAD the day, when Rhett and Link announce they’re either leaving GMM and bringing new hosts; or that GMM is ending entirely. They’re my comfort show for sure, and it will be incredibly hard to see them go.

But they’re also such talented comedians that often new and hilarious quips/jokes/gags come out of even their stalest most repetitive content, so it often doesn’t even FEEL old and outdone.
Also, it's psychological. Unpredictability and chaos is stressful, and vice versa.

Breaking up is regularly used when talking about things such as bands. It's not exculsively a romantic relationship thing.

Rhett is right that the repetition is important. Consistency and familiarity go a long way. Rhett and link are one of the only things that has stayed a constant in the last decade of my life.
It's nice too because the mythical team do such a great job of keeping things familiar while also making sure the content is new. The whole company is endlessly creative and the culture of the show really encourages that creativity. I also love that they've recently hired on people who are fans of the show as writers (I cannot for the life of me remember their names I've been binge watching them and it gets mixed up in my head) because that brings a special point of view to the show as well. They have created such a successful creative business model and I truly believe they'll be doing this for as long as they want.
If Rhett and Link retire, the mythical crew will probably take over until Lando and Shep are old enough to be hosts.

I'm happy for Rhett that he started to do therapy. I remember on the show when things seemed to be going to downhill. He seemed short tempered and things between the two of them always felt super tense. But based on their religion breakdown videos I think that was during the time when they were starting to question their religion and it put them on edge with each other as well as their wives. And yet they still kept coming in and making videos.
Agreed completely. That year was a rough patch for the two in every way.

i never stopped watching these two and i do love the familiarity and there is comfort in seeing the same two middle aged men welcoming me back to the show, in the same studio, in front of the same table every single day for more than five years.
I actually thought that just the two of them will be in the huge studio and thought it would be weird, but this is so cool!!

I will say, as a Christian, when they came out as going away from the faith. I was bummed. My kids grew up watching the Bentley Brothers lol but at the end of the day, I never got mad at them or vowed to never watch another episode again because it is their walk of life and they are free to live it how they like. It is not my job as a Christian to change someone or correct what they believe
They didn't actually leave religion completely (unfortunatly) they just no longer think a CHURCH is necessary for that belief (because the people who run them are disgusting and filled with hatred).

Some of the audience predictions were awful, I participated and felt crazy when I went against such huge voting differences. I think their friendship is incredibly solid and they discuss things openly and honestly, good and bad, in that way I felt it was easy to guess how they felt and think about things, especially Rhett, since he's the most willing to say things even (certain) Mythical Beasts don't like to hear.
They are completely strangers and yet they mean so much to me. Both their serious talks about religion and their friendships as well as their amazing funny videos just add so much to my perspective and my enjoyment of life. These guys deserve all the love they get and more.

Yepp, actually link's been greying for years before we knew but he's been dying it.
Link’s hair has probably been graying since 2016-17, but he’s just been coloring it! He started graying young, in like his mid-30’s. But Rhett is also developing a little gray on the side of his beard.

I’m so early today. But thank you for your video. I’ve been a fan of both channels for sooo long. I have seen mystical in so long. I clicked so fast. I think having people from different parts to the country that have grown, moved and all around changed for the better and still are the same people. It was a great episode.

The repetitiveness of the show is noticeable, I’ve been a fan for 7 years but I don’t watch every episode anymore like I used to as some are just too familiar. But when you’re doing 5 videos a week for nearly 10 years, you’re going to run out of totally unique ideas sooner or later. With that said, Rhett and Link are a huge inspiration to me and I’m standing with them til the end 👌🏻

As a North Carolinian, my first thought when he asked was there anything they missed from back home was Bojangles lol
whenever i get a chance to visit home one of the first things i do is stop by bojangles for a cajun fillet biscuit combo with a side order of mac and cheese and an iced tea. it’s hard to fully describe to someone who didn’t grow up in the carolinas how important bojangles is as a comfort food.

Rhett saying changing who you are and evolving who u are is a good thing is so nice to here. You grow up around people who are the same their whole life, the old man that’s worked at the gas station since he was 17 and has had the same beard and same house for 50 years and stuff, so many people are the same exact person their whole life and never try to improve it or be the best them, they just kinda settle and stay the same. I mean you do you, but I hate that especially in like small towns you’re almost seen as wrong for wanting to move up in the world and accomplish as much as possible vs just being the same boring person for your whole life
I have genuinely made GMM part of my morning routine! They just came back from their 2 week spring break and I am grateful because I was late to work almost every single day they were out lol! I love these guys and the crew!!
