I have a great suggestion for your ballgown girls. If you take red solo cups (or any plastic cup), and cut a hole in the bottom, flip it and stick the dolls legs through the hole not only does it work to stand the doll up but it acts as layer to fill out the dress bottom. A good way to recycle too if you use the cups and want to be more eco friendly. Great video idea btw! I love seeing your displays.
Late to the party but the nail polish shelf’s could probably make really good Mattel winx shelf’s since they’re small and relatively lightweight depending on the doll
lol i think the little feet in the nail polish shelf is suppose to be placed on the inside of the shelf so essentially the nail polish doesn’t slide off the side .

I’ve used a similar shelf to the nail polish one but it was made for kids books, I like to flip them upside down when I put them up so I can use the base and not worry about the lip

I had the same thing happen to me when ordering risers and them coming in way smaller that I thought LOL but I honestly love them. I use them on my more random shelves and rlly just pulls it all together. I also has a few of the risers that look like stairs. Absolutely love them! I have my RHs and ponies on those kinds and it makes the displays look so full
Ever after high Deltof risers- I was looking for the perfect sized riser for ever after high dolls in a glass ikea deltolf cabinet. I found these on Amazon and they are perfect. I can fit 5 dolls on it with their stands. They hang over a little but they don’t fall off because of the glass sides of the cabinet. I didn’t try to do a link it’s just the name cut and pasted. Brand-ADTDA - Split-Acrylic Display Stand, Display Riser for Anime Pop Figure and Cupcake, Tier Display for Decoration and Organizer (Clear 1 Tier). Gotta love Amazon product names. I painted the wooden legs white with craft paint.
I put up some of the clear/straight lipped shelves up a few months ago for my son's mini brands and it works great. I put up some deeper clear ones (4" maybe?) a few years ago when he started collecting pokemon figures and they've all held up really well and it's nice that you can just get a few more at a time when the collection outgrows! This video made me wonder if the doll stands fit on them, and both my rainbow high and clear amazon ones did - I guess I know what I need to get for myself now!

Before I could afford acrylic risers I used to use pencil drawer organizers & long tin gift boxes from dollartree, 3 tier spice racks and pretty much any old thing I could find 😆 my favorites are the acrylic tiered risers but they can be pricey so I'm glad Target is carrying lots of risers for just $5 now 😃

XD I use the kaiser stands and like them well enough, but some of my dolls slip right out of them, especially if they don't have proper footwear, so maybe I'll have to try some plastic stands at some point. I actually just got back from a trip to my grandma's, and while I was there, she was in the middle of purging some stuff that I'm now using for dolls. I ended up with some fabric scraps, broken jewelry, and more, but the piece that this video makes me think of is a cool one. She had this old wall ornament for Christmas, it was essentially a basket with old fake flowers in it. She took the flowers to make a wreath but doesn't want the basket, so I've snagged it. Using some of my own fake foliage and other pieces, I'd like to make it something my dolls can be displayed in on the wall. Dunno how I'll theme it, but it'll be interesting for sure. ^^
I'll have to look into those stands. Personally I like it when stands grip around the thigh or lower leg because sometimes I find waist clips more distracting and some crotch stands seem like the doll's feet aren't properly touching the bottom. Using risers for storage sounds like a good way to save space.

I had an idea for the trading card boxes as risers… so if you do put rainbow high dolls on the box and another on the bottom it’ll work cuz if you used one of the Amazon stands on a rainbow high doll and use a rainbow high stand on the doll, it will probably work a bit better. I currently display my dolls on an acrylic staircase shelf thing which works nicely for rainbow high and costs about £10. I'm not sure if this would work but could you flip the nail polish shelf upside down to make it flat?
Yes! Flip it and don't use the holes. I was thinking double sided tape to a backing board of some kind and hang it on the wall, you could even conceal the hanger with a cleat. And vary the number so it doesn't get too heavy for the backing. Or use wire or a hook through a backing board and through the holes, no tape. Or stagger them like ramps and have the pets marching up an incline!
So I bought stands like the $7 ones u got on Amazon. I got them on eBay and they are identical just about. Maybe body clip little more sturdy but in pink. I even was able to make it work with lalaloopsy! The waist clip can clip at the neck and they legs/ feet can touch the bottom to keep them from falling over. Lol 😂 it works. I had a lalaloopsy on that stand for months and never fell, it was a Christmas one so I just get it out for Christmas.
Thank you SO much! I've been looking for a cheaper option for risers cuz I need them bad. I've been using the couple Rainbow High clothes boxes I have and let's just say it's not working very well bc I ran out quick. Another thing I learned to use for risers for figures is holiday Barbies like plastic things that come on their boxes (they work for MLP and LPS for me) and you can stack 2 to make it higher but they'll be a bit shifty but once you get them they stay pretty easily. I also have been buying the stands for around a year and they're amazing and work great. I've only had one break and that was because one dropped on the floor and I didn't know and I stepped on it so uhh yeahhh. But yeah thanks so much for the riser alternative cuz I am not spending $20 for those one risers (I'm sorry but I ain't 😅). These are great alternatives and risers I just don't want to break my bank plus I'm only making $370 every 2 weeks since I'm a teen and my dad isn't really supporting me on dolls anymore so he isn't really helping with dolls because he thinks I'm too old for them. I’m thinking displaying lol surprise tots might work on those 🤔🤔🤔 I really love the new mini sweets especially since mini brands & sugar buzz minis in minis etc have matches for some too.

Alot of my risers have been ideas I've seen you use in your displays before this! The TCG boxes are a really good idea and can maybe put some of those silica gel packs go keep the bugs away and from the box getting damp if you live in a humid-ish area. Also I think those little feets for the nail polish holders is actually meant to be a wall in case you don't want any falling from the sides.
That's so funny. I'm an archivist and we use those andogo risers in our small displays because they're cheap and top quality. And by cheap I mean compared to companies that sell specifically to archives and museums

There are some stands in aliexpress that are completely transparent, like, they may be made from acrylic, and they look sooo luxurious, and I don’t really consider them expensive, like maybe, a couple cents more than the normal ones

Me as a vintage Barbie collector wouldn't save on the Kaiser dolllstands, they may be expensive but they do last longer and I personally think it looks nicer and better for your collection if you just use one kind of stand and risers, because if you spend all ready enough money on dolls, then i wouldn't cut back on dollstands.
In my opinion Kaiser stands look messy and the waist clip is really haphazard looking but I do like the flatter bases. Plastic doll stands will last just as many millions of years as plastic dolls will 😭

I love these stands, but they're hard to work around with when you want to display Blythe dolls 😭😭 their heavy heads and small bodies make it so I have to add a second layer of clothing under their regular outfits otherwise the poor thing fall face first on the shelf haha

I just use the funko pops my family have gifted me they know I’m a toy collector and just assume I like funko but I don’t want to be rude so I just use them for risers for my anime figures and dolls instead
They can just be put on risers idk they aren’t difficult since they generally stand on their own pretty well. I honestly don’t like displaying in box collections because they’re so cumbersome

I suggest if you want to use cardboard boxes I wrap mine in wrapping paper so they match each other!

Center of gravity issues with dolls, big and ugly waist gripper, dolls tip over easily (not the stand, the actual doll) and expensive. I loathe them.

Some of standee that the rainbow high don't fit. Did you have any break with the rainbow high? Do they work with Liv Spinster dolls?
