These cases are always so sad. You wonder how these poor victims came to be dumped like trash. You know families are wondering where their loved ones are. Every victim has a story, but it may never be known. Some of the solved ones are even more sad. Poor Eric and the other victims. Thank you for covering these cases.

I remember #10 when it happened. We moved out of the area shortly thereafter but we followed the case for awhile w/o closure. Who knew I would find it here in your channel. I appreciate the respectful way you handle the victims and their families so much, regardless of their stations in life. #1 really got me in the feels when I heard that she was born in 1887. My great grandmother was born in Holland NL in 1901 and she lived to be 91. I can’t imagine not knowing what happened to her for that long.

Thank you Southern Girl for these amazing stories. It’s amazing when families can finally lay loved ones to rest or know what happened to them 20 or 50 years later.

There is no national law requiring agencies to share this information, leaving many families in the dark about their loved one's fate.
The missing unidentified and unclaimed aren't given the proper attention imo. It's sad the one and only thing on my bucket list is to help give a Jane or John Doe their name back. The numbers are absolutely baffling but I don't think the average person even thinks about this unless their loved one is thrown into these shoes. Something needs to be done. Something has got to change. It's so sad.

@@SouthernGirlCrimeStories We have five or so recent Unidentified Persons and murder cases in Bay County Florida, and I want to start getting the info out but Don't know what or how,so commenting to start. Without getting into a huge political debate, I think every baby born should have a DNA sample placed in a database. Doing so, in my opinion would cut down on the number of unsolved Jane/John Doe's. It would free up a lot of resources not having to wait for labs to test DNA or waiting for the offchance a sample of DNA MIGHT be uploaded to a geneology website to compare to... or using police tactics to obtain a DNA sample from potential suspects. It would be a giant head start into solving cases. DNA testing has come a long ways. I saw that they can put a genetic code into a computer and the computer will print out what that person most likely looks like based on genetic markers. That's astounding! I can only imagine where it could go from there... Before DNA testing - I imagine a LOT of murderers roamed free with little fear of being found out. Short of other crime scene evidence, a witness, or the guilty person giving themselves away - crimes often went unsolved. A lot of wrongful convictions mostly based on probability or an accusation... In cases with viable DNA - wrongful convictions would be greatly reduced.
