I just saw you on AGT. As a fellow dysfluent person, I'm so proud and happy that you had the courage to go perform. You sang beautifully. I'm also a speech pathologist, where dysfluency therapy is my jam. Just a little info - fluency often begins to get milder as you get into your mid to late 20's, probably due to the fact that a person is more comfortable, as they settle into their life. It doesn't go away but a person realizes that they aren't a big neon sign flashing, "stutterer", but it's just something that you do. Keep on being fearless!

It’s easy to say; “ that was “pretty” good” and you stutter? Not bad. But that’s NOT just happened. I just listened to a young woman with a beautiful voice that sent me into the clouds. Great job. You did good!!!

You are amazing. Your voice is so pure. Thanks for sharing it with us. I used to stutter when I was in grade school. It was terrifying, embarrassing, and uncontrollable. I remember there were times when someone would ask me something and I could tell it was going to come out a stutter so I would just not answer and stare back at them in silence. I wanted to answer and continue to converse with them but I was too scared to start stuttering. I don’t know how I over came it, it just stopped and I didn’t know why. I can only attribute it to God’s Grace. This was in the 70’s and there were no speech therapists and maybe there were but I was able to hide it and no one knew so I wasn’t diagnosed (?) I am blessed to have been teaching high school since 1990. I don’t stutter at all but I do forget a lot of things 🤪
